RUSH: ‘The United States and China reported no major breakthroughs Friday after only their second round of talks about human rights since 2002. The Obama administration wants to push Beijing to treat its citizens better, but it also needs Chinese support on Iranian and North Korean nuclear standoffs, climate change and other difficult issues.\u2019 Now, I know this is going to rub a lot of people the wrong way, but the term ‘social justice\u2019 just means liberalism. ‘Human rights\u2019 just means liberalism. ‘Fairness\u2019 just means liberalism. ‘Human rights\u2019 means the exact opposite of human rights. Do you think the regime cares about American human rights right now? Not in the slightest. So the United States and the ChiComs report no breakthroughs ‘after only their second round of talks about human rights.\u2019 <\/p>\n

What do we expect, if we sit around and we talk to the ChiComs are going to treat their people better? What leverage do we have over the ChiComs? We don\u2019t have any leverage over the ChiComs. Furthermore, not only don\u2019t we have any leverage because they own so much of our debt we\u2019re now going to depend on them to make sure that Ahmadinejad does not nuke up? Meanwhile, Ahmadinejad has announced a big deal here with the Turks and the Brazilians to give uranium around the world. Here, from Reuters. The Obama regime ‘will shortly issue a statement on Iran\u2019s agreement with mediators, Brazil and Turkey, to send some of its uranium abroad, a US official said Monday.\u2019 What? Why? What is the purpose of this statement here on Iran\u2019s agreement to send some of its uranium abroad? (interruption)<\/p>\n

Well, it does diffuse the situation, but it also gives Iran as much time as they need here! They\u2019re elevating Iran to the status of peaceful nuclear player by shipping uranium around the world. Not enriched uranium. They\u2019re shipping uranium to the poorest peoples of the world so they, too, can have power. So Obama\u2019s leftist buddies are trying to run cover in Brazil, trying to run cover in Turkey. This probably was Obama\u2019s idea. Give them more time. I don\u2019t know, folks. Some of this stuff, it\u2019s just tough to absorb each and every day. Now, back to the human rights stuff. We failed to sit down and make the ChiComs come to on human rights. The Obama administration wants the ChiComs to treat its citizens better. We in America would like to be treated better by our regime. The ChiComs did not apologize for anything they are doing, but a senior US official said that the two-day meeting ‘lays groundwork for more regular talks to soothe an irritant in relations between the two world powers.\u2019 <\/p>\n

By the way, Michael Posner used to be the president or the CEO, the chief, head honcho of ‘Human Rights First,\u2019 which is one of these giant worldwide global leftist organizations to push socialism and communism. Now, this guy is an avowed leftist. ‘Michael Posner, the assistant secretary of state, told reporters that another round will happen some time next year in Beijing.\u2019 Human rights discussions. ‘The countries also plan to hold talks on legal matters soon and he said he will participate in a high-profile economic and security summit in Beijing this month. ‘In two days, we\u2019re not going to change major policies or major points of view, but we laid a foundation to continue,\u2019 Posner said. ‘The tone of the discussions was very much, ‘We\u2019re two powerful, great countries. We have a range of issues that we are engaged on. Human rights is part of that discussion, and it will remain so.” <\/p>\n

‘Posner said in addition to talks on freedom of religion and expression, labor rights and rule of law, officials also discussed Chinese complaints about problems with US human rights, which have included crime, poverty, homelessness and racial discrimination.\u2019 Now, hang onto this homelessness business. Stick with me here. So apparently the ChiComs complained to Posner about problems in United States: ‘Crime, poverty, homelessness, and racial discrimination.\u2019 Here\u2019s Posner. He\u2019s sitting there with the ChiComs, and the ChiComs are pointing fingers, ‘You people in the United States, you have a high crime rate, you have a lot of people in poverty, you got homelessness, and now you are racially discriminating against people,\u2019 to which, it is reported here by the Associated Press, Posner said, ‘US officials did not whitewash the American record and in fact raised on its own a new immigration law in Arizona that requires police to ask about a person\u2019s immigration status if there is suspicion the person is in the country illegally,\u2019 which is not the total, entire truth of the law. <\/p>\n

Never mind. So here comes the ChiComs telling this guy Posner, ‘Look, you guys have a high crime rate, you have too much poverty. Don\u2019t lecture us on human rights, America! Don\u2019t lecture us. Look at you. You got a crime rate that\u2019s burgeoning, you got homelessness, you got poverty, and you got racial discrimination. So don\u2019t tell us. Don\u2019t lecture us about human rights.\u2019 This guy Posner, on his own, brought up the Arizona immigration law and agreed with the ChiComs that it is a problem! That\u2019s who\u2019s running this regime. Posner is Obama, folks. You have to stop asking yourself, ‘How the hell do all these wackos end up in the administration?\u2019 He knows them or he has people who knows them! It\u2019s not an accident that this guy\u2019s from Human Rights First, ends up in a position to talk to the ChiComs. Why is it a surprise?<\/p>\n

When Obama apologizes for this country around the world, it is a surprise that one of his peons would do the same thing? China has not apologized to us for anything. Nobody apologizes to us. We\u2019re out there apologizing to them. It\u2019s truly outrageous. The ChiComs shoot people dead who try to cross their border. Who in the world are we kidding here? We, from the responsible sectors of the media, have been attempting to warn the people of this country who it is that make up this regime and what their ideology is and what their attitudes about this country are. Now, I have a friend who worked at the NSA for a while, National Security Agency. These are the people that read your e-mails and listen to your phone calls. They know everything you\u2019re saying and doing. These are the people out there in Maryland. <\/p>\n

They have the program ECHELON that does all that and a friend of mine used to work there. And back in the early eighties some radical left-wing homeless advocates arranged to have a group of homeless from the US tour the Soviet Union. I remember talking about this when I was on the air in Sacramento, and I was stunned. We\u2019re actually going to take a group of homeless people — we\u2019re going to put \u2019em on an airplane, feed \u2019em, clothe \u2019em, whatever — take them to the Soviet Union to have a forum on homelessness in America in the Soviet Union, the land of Soviet communism. At their very first forum, a Russian in the audience asked one of the homeless men what he did for a living, what was his job. When the homeless man replied he didn\u2019t have a job, that he hadn\u2019t had a job in years, the audience — the Soviet audience — was incredulous. <\/p>\n

They could not believe that he was complaining about being homeless when he didn\u2019t even bother to work, and the Russian audience walked out of the presentation disgusted and said, ‘What are we here for? You want us to feel sorry for a bunch of people that are homeless and they don\u2019t work?\u2019 So what we had, even back then, the Ted Kennedy types in the Democrat Party were trying to paint America as a rotten-to-the-core place, and they packed up a bunch of our homeless people and took them over to Russia. Because we have to be worse than Russia. We have to be worse than the Soviet Union, and the Soviet citizens said, ‘Well, I can understand you don\u2019t have a home if you don\u2019t work.\u2019 They walked out in disgust. If we took a group of homeless people over to Beijing and had a forum, if the regime takes \u2019em over there, I wonder if the same thing would happen. <\/p>\n

‘Well, why are you homeless? How long have you been homeless?\u2019 <\/p>\n

‘I\u2019ve been homeless for years.\u2019 <\/p>\n

‘Well, what is your job?\u2019 <\/p>\n

‘Well, I don\u2019t have a job.\u2019 <\/p>\n

‘Well, then what are you complaining about?\u2019 <\/p>\n

That\u2019s essentially what the Soviet citizens were saying.<\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/line> <\/line>RUSH: Okay, let me tell you a little bit more about Michael Posner, Human Rights First. This is the guy that apologized to the ChiComs for our Arizona immigration law during a human rights conference. ‘Human Rights First is an open borders group that opposes all government efforts to control illegal immigration and strengthen American national security.\u2019 That\u2019s what its purpose is. And this guy was the grand pooh-bah of Human Rights First, Michael Posner. Now, Posner and the Human Rights First group have supported an open border immigration policy since they were founded. ‘Posner worked with the late Arthur Helton to gain asylum for 2,000 Haitian immigrants who stormed US shores in 1982.\u2019 So no borders, open borders, no attempt whatsoever to enforce immigration laws whatsoever and this is the guy out there apologizing to the ChiComs. He\u2019s an Obama appointee, he\u2019s in the State Department, he\u2019s working for Hillary Clinton, Michael Posner. People keep saying to me, ‘How do these wackos keep getting into government,\u2019 as though Obama knows nothing about it, ‘who\u2019s tricking Obama?\u2019 These people are all Obama. Elena Kagan is Obama. They\u2019re all Obama. Van Jones was Obama. <\/line><\/p>\n

Audio sound bite here. May 3rd, Atlanta, WSB-TV Channel 2 Eyeball News, a portion of investigative correspondent Justin Farmer\u2019s report on US border security.<\/p>\n

FARMER: Most of the illegals caught crossing are from Mexico or South America, but thousands are classified as OTMs, ‘other than Mexicans,\u2019 including hundreds from nations that sponsor terror. These are the records we obtained at this federal detention center near Phoenix, Arizona. We find illegals from Afghanistan, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Sudan, and Yemen in custody. This congressional report on border threats confirms members of Hezbollah have crossed the southwest border. It also contains photos of military jackets found on the border. The Arab insignia reads: ‘Martyr: Way to eternal life.\u2019 The other depicts a plane crashing into the Twin Towers. The congressional report also reveals the route Middle Easterners take. They travel from Europe to South America to the tri border region where they learn to speak Spanish, then travel to Mexico and blend in with other illegals heading to this country. Former Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano is now secretary of Homeland Security. We wanted to ask her about the border threat, but our request for an interview was never answered.<\/p>\n

RUSH: This is Channel 2 WSB Eyeball News Atlanta and they got hold of a congressional report on terrorists crossing the Mexican border from all over the world and how they do it and what the route is. It\u2019s a congressional report which means Congress knows. The government knows how these people are all doing it. This is the border that Obama and the Democrats refuse to enforce. This is what Arizona is attempting to deal with. When I play the sound bite, I\u2019m watching the staff on the other side and they\u2019re laughing. They\u2019re sitting there laughing. The OTMs, other than Mexican, but they\u2019re laughing at the whole thing. It\u2019s just patently ridiculous. Illegals from Afghanistan, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Sudan, and Yemen? PALIN: It\u2019s time for Americans across this great country to stand up and say, ‘We\u2019re all Arizonans now, and in clear unity we say, ‘Mr. President, do your job, secure our border.” (cheers and applause.)<\/p>\n

RUSH: Right on, right on, right on. Here\u2019s something else she said.<\/p>\n

PALIN: And a final word to the boycott crowd and the majority of Americans who support Governor Brewer\u2019s stand. If you really want border security, if you want to halt the human rights abuses that have resulted from our failed border security policy, come visit Arizona! You could say that here they\u2019re doing the job that our federal government will not do.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Human rights abuses, Sarah Palin, and she spoke with the governor of Arizona. Now, get this. There\u2019s a state dinner coming up on Wednesday. The state dinner is in honor of the Mexican President Felipe Calderon. One goal of President Barack Obama\u2019s state dinner on Wednesday will be to make Mexican President Felipe Calderon feel like the man of honor. Another will be to keep uninvited guests from crashing the party. No illegals allowed. The first goal at the dinner for Mexican president is keeping out uninvited guests, which happened last time with the state dinner for Prime Minister Singh from India. Now, isn\u2019t this all Arizona\u2019s trying to do? Yeah, they have to check papers at the White House. Well, they didn\u2019t check papers at the last state dinner and three or four couples got in there that were not invited. They got photos next to the president, even, next to the Prime Minister of India. So the White House is gonna try to enforce its own borders at the state dinner. But Arizona can\u2019t?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hi, Rush. First a shout out to Cheryl Kay (ph) from our clinic. She says that you\u2019re her hero and just wanted me to say that she\u2019s crying almost about what\u2019s happening in this country. So tell her to hang in there. I wanted to call because you were talking about Mr. Pose (sic). another in China talking about the poverty and the crime of this nation. Well, the fact is there are too many trapped in poverty but it\u2019s not because of conservatives. The US Census Bureau says that the majority of people trapped in poverty are engaging in behavior: They\u2019re having babies out of wedlock, which liberals say, ‘It\u2019s okay. Here\u2019s your condom. Continue the behavior.\u2019 It is conservatives that are trying to teach abstinence. I taught for five years and we\u2019re trying to hold the high ideal of ‘we don\u2019t want you trapped in poverty,\u2019 and with criminal behavior, we know that 70% of the men in prison came from homes with no fathers: Single moms with no fathers in those households. Again, conservatives want fatherhood initiatives, marriage initiatives, and bringing back intact families so all of those social ills are not there. It\u2019s liberal harm that you always talk about, but it\u2019s in the social arena. You\u2019re right about the conservatives\u2019 fiscal agenda, too, that we demand balanced budgets. But the social agenda is just as important because it\u2019s related to all of these social ills.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, true, but I don\u2019t think the ChiComs are looking at it that way. The ChiComs are simply… To me, it\u2019s outrageous. We expect communist countries to rip into us. We expect them to get on our case, especially since they lie. What is unprecedented is that we\u2019re now agreeing with them. So the ChiComs say, ‘You know, you got a lot of poverty and you got a lot of homelessness and you got a rising crime rate. Don\u2019t lecture us,\u2019 and our guy says, ‘You know, you have a point. Look at our Arizona law.\u2019 That\u2019s what\u2019s new here. Poverty in this country, by the way, compared to poverty in China, there\u2019s no comparison. How many of China\u2019s people in ‘poverty\u2019 have a couple of television sets, maybe a couple cell phones and a car? How many of them have 99 weeks of unemployment compensation? These comparisons here are ridiculous. Now, it\u2019s quite understandable that a communist country would lecture us. That\u2019s been going on since the beginning of communist countries and our country. But this is the first time I know of we\u2019ve ever agreed with them in their assessment of us. <\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: It wasn\u2019t long ago we were discussing China, poverty, and poverty in the United States, because we\u2019ve got this guy Michael Posner agreeing with the ChiComs that we have crime and poverty and homelessness. This guy, ‘Yeah, you got a point. Look at our Arizona law. We have problems with racism and discrimination.\u2019 The ChiComs have always ripped us but this is the first time we\u2019ve ever agreed with them. So I got some people, ‘What do you mean, Rush, you always say this and you never back it up. You always say that poverty in America is not like poverty anywhere else, that poverty everywhere else is worse and worse and worse.\u2019 So many people want poverty to be so bad in this country. Folks, let me try something here. The relative wealth of the United States and the ChiComs. According to the International Monetary Fund, if you want to believe them, in 2009 the per capita gross domestic product in China, per capita, meaning per person, $6,567. The per capita gross domestic product, United States, $46,381. Now, I don\u2019t care how you want to try to massage this, it amazes me. I make a statement totally true that poverty in this country is luxury in many places around the world, and they get angry at me. They don\u2019t want that to be true. I\u2019ve never run into as many negative people who make people sick as the left. Aside from the ideology, I think that\u2019s the one thing about them that ticks me off more than anything, they\u2019re just negative, all of them, and they\u2019re negative about greatness.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay, we also now have some audio of Michael Posner and his apology to China. This is last Friday in Washington at the State Department during a briefing on the US-ChiCom human rights talks. The Assistant Secretary of State for Human Rights, Michael Posner, appeared before the gathered media and he got a question: ‘Was there any area in which China sorta turned the tables and raised its own complaints or concerns about US practices around the globe or at home? Can you give some examples there?\u2019<\/p>\n

POSNER: Part of a mature relationship is you have an open discussion where you not only raise the other guy\u2019s problems but you raise your own and you have a discussion about it. We did plenty of that. We had experts from the US side, for example, yesterday talking about treatment of Muslim-Americans in an immigration context. We had discussion of racial discrimination.<\/p>\n

REPORTER: Did the recently passed Arizona immigration law come up?<\/p>\n

POSNER: We brought it up early and often! It was mentioned in the first session as a troubling trend in our society and an indication that we have to deal with issues of discrimination or potential discrimination and that these are issues very much being debated in our own society.<\/p>\n

RUSH: So here you have… Does this guy not sound like a New Castrati, by the way? (doing impression) ‘Yeah, part of a mature relationship is that you have an open discussion where you not only raise the underlying problem but you raise your own, and you have a discussion about it and we did plenty of that. We… We have experts from the US side, for example, talk about how we mistreat Muslim-Americans in an immigration context — and — and — and we had a discussion on racial discrimination!\u2019 <\/p>\n

They\u2019re sitting there saying, ‘You guys, you\u2019re telling us that we\u2019re rotten? Look, you got poverty, you got racism, you got discrimination, and look at how you\u2019re treating Mexicans and Chinese.\u2019 <\/p>\n

‘Yes, we agree.\u2019 <\/p>\n

And Hu Jintao says, ‘Oh-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho,\u2019 started laughing, probably tried to keep from laughing. Imagine when they broke and the ChiComs went back to their own room? Can you imagine them high-fiving everybody? Man, as I say, this is Michael Posner, assistant secretary of state, by Obama. The ChiComs always rip us to shreds.
