It\u2019s not daily; it\u2019s hourly. No sooner did Obama start the process of finishing off Wall Street, then here comes Carol Browner talking about cap and tax, and here comes the Wall Street Journal talking about: No, no! We\u2019re going to do immigration. &#8216;Democratic leaders in Congress have agreed to try to pass immigration legislation this year, placing the explosive issue ahead of an energy bill on their agenda and upending conventional wisdom that it was dead for now.\u2019 Why not? Amnesty is where the votes are, and they\u2019re going to need \u2019em. They are going to need \u2019em. They\u2019re driving themselves off a cliff electorally. They already have the green vote (such as it is) sewn up, but they don\u2019t have the illegal vote because the illegals can\u2019t legally vote. So they gotta fix that. Besides, if the Democrats lose their majorities in November it\u2019s going to be that much harder to destroy capitalism, and that\u2019s the priority. So they\u2019ve gotta win these elections in November. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/01125113.Par.89380.ImageFile.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"255\" class=\"alignright\"\/>Now, here\u2019s this afternoon: Andrea Mitchell (NBC News, Washington) and Carol Browner, Director of the White House Office on Energy and Climate. Andrea Mitchell said, &#8216;There\u2019s been a lot of talk here about cap and trade. Climate change legislation will try to rebrand cap and trade. Lieberman says, &#8216;You remember the artist formerly known as Prince\u2019? This is &#8216;market based system for punishing polluters,\u2019 previously known as cap and trade. So it\u2019s going to be cap and trade without calling it cap and trade? It\u2019s just a matter of semantics here?\u2019<\/p>\n<p>BROWNER: It\u2019s not just a matter of semantics. Ah, what Kerry, Graham, and Lieberman have been doing is meeting with individual industry sectors to understand what would be the best way to work with them to achieve the reductions. And so it\u2019s not a one-size-fit[s]-all response.<\/p>\n<p>MITCHELL: So it will be one system for the energy secretary, one system for transportation, and different kinds of trading incentives within different industry sectors?<\/p>\n<p>BROWNER: Right. I &#8212; I &#8212; I think what\u2019s important is they are working with these industries. Uh, that doesn\u2019t mean that they\u2019re doing exactly what the industry wants in every instance, but they\u2019re understanding what\u2019s important so that we can get the kind of market certainty and predictability so that companies here in the United States will make the investments to create the jobs.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: They haven\u2019t the slightest clue how to make that happen. So here it\u2019s another attempt at command-and-control over the energy sector of the economy. After they sew up the financial services sector, after they sew up health care, they are making a march.
