RUSH: By the way, have you noticed that they\u2019ve stopped using the word ‘stimulus\u2019 now? They don\u2019t use the word ‘stimulus\u2019 every time they talk about it because it\u2019s not working. All of these deficits… You know, the Keynesian theory is that all of these deficits are going to ignite investment, ignite hiring. That\u2019s the theory of Keynesian economics, and it hasn\u2019t worked, it never has worked, it\u2019s not working now. So you\u2019ll read in the papers, you\u2019ll see on the Internet: ‘Obama\u2019s Latest Jobs Bill Stalled,\u2019 ‘Obama\u2019s Jobs Bill Here Stalled,\u2019 ‘Democrats Balking on Extension of Unemployment Compensation Benefits.\u2019 Nowhere do you see the word ‘stimulus\u2019 being used, and Bill Clinton said last September (Remember this?), ‘The minute health care reform is passed,\u2019 this was at a policy forum in New York City, ‘President Obama\u2019s approval ratings would go up ten points,\u2019 and let\u2019s not forget John Dingell back on March 23rd.<\/line> <\/line>DINGELL: Paul W. (Smith), we\u2019re not ready to be doing it, but let me remind you, this has been going on for years. We are bringing it to a halt. The harsh fact of the matter is when you\u2019re going to pass legislation that will cover 300 American people in different ways it takes a long time to do the necessary administrative steps that have to be taken to put the legislation together to control the people.<\/line><\/p>\n

RUSH: ‘To control the people.\u2019 Now, he said he misspoke. He was ‘tired,\u2019 wasn\u2019t feeling well. I think the fact he was tired means his inhibitions were down and he did speak the truth, and let\u2019s not forget DeCarlo Flythe, March 22nd, Raleigh, North Carolina.<\/p>\n

FLYTHE: It\u2019s just going to be like Christmas, I mean, it\u2019s going to be great. No worries, you know, the bills, we can go ahead and pay our copay and be all right.<\/line><\/line>RUSH: Yeah, right. It\u2019s Christmas! It\u2019s Christmas when the health care bill is signed, except people are running all over the country into hospitals and doctors\u2019 offices wanting free health care, thinking that it\u2019s theirs now since the bill has been passed. Well, the point is there is no bump for Obama after he signed health care. There is no bump for the Democrats. Clinton, Obama, all these people knowingly lied to these Democrats. Stupak, as you know, has said, ‘No mas, no mas.\u2019 He\u2019s outta there. He doesn\u2019t even want to run for reelection because his numbers are so bad. From Rasmussen: ‘Three weeks after Congress passed its new national health care plan, support for repeal of the measure has risen four points to 58%. That includes 50% of US voters who strongly favor repeal.\u2019 The 8% are ‘somewhat in favor\u2019 of repeal. As usual, ‘The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of likely voters nationwide finds 38% still oppose repeal, including 32% who strongly oppose it.\u2019<\/line><\/p>\n

But the number 58%, which is up four points, support repeal of Obamacare. And the Gallup Daily Tracking Poll of job approval. Obama is at his lowest ever: 45% approve, which is a new all-time low; 48% disapprove, which is a tie for the all-time low for the second consecutive day. It\u2019s a minus-three popularity spread, which is also an all-time low. So Obama didn\u2019t get a bump, health care didn\u2019t get a bump, and the unpopularity continues to rise as does Obama\u2019s disapproval. I think the only outfit, the only polling outfit out there that has Obama as 50% (and I could be wrong about this) is on CNN and whoever their polling partner is. Now, Gallup does not point this out. You never notice it from Gallup. They posted his lower numbers in history without mentioning they were the record low. I myself am throwing that in there; Gallup does not. Now, when we come back from the upcoming break, I have a lot of economic news here. Headlines such as these: <\/p>\n

‘Recession Arbiters Wary of Certifying an Upturn.\u2019 They can\u2019t tell us that it\u2019s over or that it\u2019s going to be over. <\/p>\n

‘Sixty-Six Percent say America\u2019s Overtaxed.\u2019 <\/p>\n

‘Millions of Unemployed May Never Recover.\u2019 <\/p>\n

‘Bill to Extend Jobless Benefits Faces Senate Showdown.\u2019 <\/p>\n

‘Obama Election-Year Jobs Agenda Stalls in Congress.\u2019 <\/p>\n

‘Recovery Likely to Remain Sluggish into 2011.\u2019 <\/p>\n

And then we have Larry Kudlow<\/a> who says just the exact opposite.<\/p>\n
