<\/p>\nRUSH: You know what is abundantly clear — and there\u2019s a lot that is abundantly clear. And, in fact, more and more of what is abundantly clear many people dare not say. Scary times out there. We\u2019re gonna unpack all of this for you so that there\u2019s no mystery about what\u2019s happening out there.<\/p>\n
Greetings, my friends. Great to have you here. Rush Limbaugh, 800-282-2882 if you want to be on the program.<\/p>\n
What is abundantly clear to me — and as I say there\u2019s a whole heck of a lot that\u2019s abundantly clear. But the stronger, the more obvious it is that the evidence about Obamagate, the evidence that the Obama administration ran a coup against the Trump campaign and then the Trump transition and the Trump presidency, and that is still ongoing, do not think that it\u2019s over. This coup to oust Donald Trump is ongoing. And the stronger the evidence for it, meaning the more obvious it becomes to everybody — now, you and I, we\u2019ve been aware of what\u2019s going on here for four years. You and I have been aware of what\u2019s going since the Trump campaign. We\u2019ve known how bogus it all was.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
But you have to stop and remember, folks, that there\u2019s a heck of a lot of the American population that is not anywhere near up to speed like you and I. It\u2019s a shame, but they\u2019re not. It\u2019s still a fact that there\u2019s decent size percentage of the population that only knows what they see on things like CNN or their local news or MSNBC or what they read in their newspaper. It doesn\u2019t matter the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, USA Today, the Washington Post, it\u2019s all one, it\u2019s all the same stuff.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s all anti-Trump. It is all pro-ousting Trump, getting rid of Trump. It\u2019s all lies, all of it, every bit of it is lies. But now, as more and more evidence is forthcoming and the stronger that evidence and, therefore, the more persuasive it is to more and more people, the greater the Democrat media freak-out is. It\u2019s like the impeachment idea, driving a president\u2019s ratings into the low thirties. Remember, this has always been the objective. The objective has been to separate Trump voters from Trump.<\/p>\n
If they can\u2019t do that — and they know this — if they can\u2019t do that, then their task of defeating Trump in a genuine, fair election, say coming up in November, is gonna be very, very hard. I don\u2019t care what the polls today show because they\u2019re irrelevant. And I know that they\u2019re crazy because there is no way that Joe Biden is gonna beat anybody by 10, 12 points in this election coming up. But yet that\u2019s what their polling data shows and that\u2019s what they\u2019re reporting and that\u2019s what they\u2019re going with.<\/p>\n
And you have to remember that polling data is used to shape public opinion, not reflect it. It\u2019s used to create the conventional wisdom. And everybody wants to be in the conventional wisdom category. Everybody wants to be in the majority. So, if you can be made to think that everybody hates Trump, then it\u2019s easy for you to hate Trump. If you can be convinced that everybody wants Trump gone, that that\u2019s the sensible position to have — if the reasonable, intelligent position to have is Trump\u2019s a joke, gotta go — then it\u2019s easier to corral people into that position. And I\u2019m talking about masses of people, you know, the great unwashed.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s easier to manipulate people if you can set up a set of circumstances where it\u2019s made to look like everybody thinks this. But that is all part of the lies. Everybody does not think that Trump has to go. Everybody does not believe that Trump is responsible for all of this. Everybody does not think that Trump is unqualified. Everybody does not think that Trump is destroying the Constitution. It\u2019s quite the opposite, in fact.<\/p>\n
So they\u2019ve been trying to get Trump\u2019s numbers into the thirties. It\u2019s the only way they have of actually being able to overturn the election results. If the Democrats can politically cripple Trump now, then they may be able to survive — this is their thinking — they may be able to survive a flood of indictments, ugly facts, and what is gonna end up being good economic news. I do believe the economy is gonna recover \u2019cause what else can it do? I think Las Vegas is gonna be an indication of that.<\/p>\n
But these people see Trump as having a stronger hand as the economy ticks up. Take a look at — you know, when you think about African-Americans and where they are today versus just three months ago. Three years of the Trump administration had created this massively growing, roaring economy that had created a record low African-American unemployment. It had created a record high African-American employment and accompanying wages and wage increases. Jobs had come back.<\/p>\n

This was not tolerable. This simply could not be allowed to stand. Whatever it took to reverse that had to happen. And now after the coronavirus lockdown, which more and more people now realize was totally unnecessary. If you doubt me, grab audio sound bite number 1. Here they are at CNN this morning discussing it.<\/p>\n
JIM SCIUTTO: Given the vastly different infection rates that we saw between, say, New York and New Jersey and other states, Missouri, even Florida, is it too early to say, I mean, is it, is it possible to make the argument that the nationwide stay-at-home order was too comprehensive, too far reaching, it could have been tailored more geographically to certain age groups?<\/p>\n
RUSH: Really? Whoa.<\/p>\n
GUPTA: Well, I think, I think perhaps.<\/p>\n

RUSH: That\u2019s Sanjay Gupta, the official doctor at CNN. (impression) “Yeah, yeah, I think so. Perhaps.” Jim Sciutto is leading the discussion. So now here they are — with a straight face — asking: Was the national stay-at-home order too severe? They ran it at CNN! They promoted it at CNN. They were all for it at CNN.<\/p>\n
Now they\u2019re asking, “Maybe was it too severe?”<\/p>\n
Well, let me help you out.<\/p>\n
It wasn\u2019t necessary.<\/p>\n
There was no reason to ever put 40 million Americans out of work unless it was to your political advantage to have that happen. It was never important enough to wipe out who knows how many livelihoods and lives and businesses. It was never necessary. It was all predicated on lies, fake and incorrect computer model projections that were never accurate.<\/p>\n
But how do we go back and get all that back? We don\u2019t. They, the euphemistic “they,” had a great opportunity to wipe out the three years of Trump\u2019s economic revival — and what\u2019s it been replaced by? Well, take a look! I mean, all you have to do is watch the news every afternoon and night. That\u2019s what it\u2019s been replaced by.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s been replaced by riots. It\u2019s been replaced by looting. It\u2019s been replaced by just all kinds of very sad and unfortunate stuff taking place. Anyway, the stronger the Obamagate evidence — the more accessible that evidence is to everyone and the more that average people realize what happened — the greater the Democrat media freak-out.<\/p>\n
I know it\u2019s hard to believe, but I\u2019m gonna tell you, folks, the left is gonna get even dirtier going forward. We haven\u2019t reached the bottom of this, \u2019cause they know what\u2019s coming down the tracks. They know what John Durham\u2019s doing, and they know what Barr is doing, and they know both Durham and Barr are committed to this.<\/p>\n
And they know that every day they don\u2019t release the results is another day closer to the election that they will be released. This is why James Mattis writes his piece in The Atlantic. This is why Mike Mullen, the former chairman of the “Chief Joint of Staff” wrote his piece…where? In The Atlantic! They are freaking out. (interruption) No, no, no.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m not sure Mattis had anything to do with the coup. No, no, no. But Mattis is the establishment in New York and in Washington. He represents the opposition to Donald Trump. He\u2019s made it clear. It\u2019s so obvious to me. If you read Mattis\u2019 piece, his op-ed in The Atlantic — and even if you listen to Esper, the current secretary of defense — they don\u2019t think this rioting\u2019s any big deal at all.<\/p>\n
Does that sound familiar? The Washington establishment for the past three to four years has never thought the country was in crisis. They never thought open borders was a crisis. They never thought sanctuary cities was a crisis. They never thought the dissolution of the American middle class was a crisis. They\u2019ve never thought the country\u2019s in a crisis at all.<\/p>\n
That has been one of the hallmark identifiers of the Never Trumps and of the Democrats and of the, quote-unquote, “deep state,” the establishment. They\u2019ve just never thought that the country is anywhere near a crisis, and this has always been one of the great disconnects between you and them, because you have. You have not only thought it, you have known the country was in crisis.<\/p>\n
You have known that the founding principles of this country are under assault, that there are people wishing to transform this country into something it was never intended to be by virtue of its founding. You\u2019ve known this country is in crisis. You\u2019ve known that the, quote-unquote, “American way of life” was under assault.<\/p>\n
They didn\u2019t.<\/p>\n
It didn\u2019t matter to them.<\/p>\n
They didn\u2019t think it\u2019s a crisis. By the same token, all of this destruction — the rioting, the looting, the mayhem — it\u2019s just not a big deal. Mattis says, “We must not be distracted by a small number of lawbreakers. The protests are defined by tens of thousands of people of conscience who are insisting that we live up to our values, our values as people and our values as a nation.”<\/p>\n
So he\u2019s siding with the lawbreakers!<\/p>\n
Not only is it not that big a deal because there aren\u2019t that many of them, but they\u2019re the ones who have virtue. And it\u2019s Donald Trump who is threatening the Constitution? Have you heard this talk out of Los Angeles? There are two conflicting numbers here, but the Los Angeles city council and the mayor are talking about “defunding the police” to the tune of either $150 million or $250 million.<\/p>\n
Now this is a movement — part of the rioting, looting protest movement, the Black Lives Matter movement — to defund the police nationwide. Defund…? So for all of the other reasons to leave California, there\u2019s a brand-new one. That aren\u2019t gonna be any cops. Not only does Donald Trump pose a great threat to the Constitution, so do the police.<\/p>\n
I\u2019m gonna tell you, you start defunding the police — meaning there\u2019s no money for a police force, there certainly isn\u2019t any money for police force as you\u2019ve come to know them, no regular patrols — and you call 911, who knows? They may not have the money to respond. Guess what\u2019s gonna happen? Hello, guns. Hello, gun stores. Hello, gun purchases.<\/p>\n
Hello, any number of ways that people are going to invest in to protect themselves. But these people like the mayor in Los Angeles, he\u2019s actually promoting this like he\u2019s a great guy, like this is a brilliant thing, like he is in possession of unparalleled compassion and understanding. He is gonna defund the cops. The protests are no big deal, says James Mattis.<\/p>\n

You know who\u2019s out of touch? Here\u2019s Mattis… You know, this refrain in Mattis\u2019 piece (impression), “I don\u2019t even see Donald Trump trying to unite the country. Presidents are supposed to try to unite the country. You know what? I don\u2019t even see President Trump trying.” How blind must you be? James Mattis, “Mad Dog Mattis” (that\u2019s his nickname), served as the secretary of defense in Trump\u2019s administration.<\/p>\n
Did he not see what has been done and attempted against Trump for these past four years? Did he not see the fake, phony coup? Was he not aware that every day the American media was promoting one lie after another — accusing Trump of traitorism, of treason, of being a Russian spy and an agent, a personal asset of Vladimir Putin?<\/p>\n
Unify the country? We\u2019re so beyond that, it\u2019s laughable. (impression) “He doesn\u2019t even try to unify. All presidents try to unify. (grumbling) He\u2019s not even trying. He\u2019s a threat to the Constitution.” Let me tell you, folks. You know this; I know this. The objective here, the objective right now… Unify? The objective right now is simple.<\/p>\n
It is to defeat the forces that are arrayed against us out there that are attempting to overthrow the Trump administration and continue this coup and to rip to shreds the Constitution. We are in a battle for the future of America, as founded. There\u2019s always gonna be an America. What kind it\u2019s gonna be is the question. Unify? With who? Unify with what?<\/p>\n
I\u2019m gonna tell you, Donald Trump wanted to unify. He wanted everybody to come together after he was elected. I talked to him about it. I\u2019m the one who told him it would never happen. (I was one of many.) They\u2019re not interested in getting along with Trump. They\u2019re not interested in co-managing or having a participatory existence with Trump as president.<\/p>\n
They\u2019re not interested in a roaring economy. They\u2019re not interested in capitalism doing great things for the vast majority of people. They\u2019re not interested in that. The idea that somehow unity is possible? Unity is possible only if our side caves.<\/p>\n
And then what you have then is not unity; you have defeat. How can these guys not see this? How can James Mattis, how can Mark Esper…? Well, because they must be committed deep-staters who don\u2019t think any of this is ever gonna touch them. It\u2019s never gonna affect them.
