CALLER: Hi, Rush. How are you doing today?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Pretty well, thanks.<\/p>\n

<\/a>CALLER: I was calling just to let you know that my son is turning a year old on Easter and he is a Rush Baby. Literally! His middle name is ‘Rush.\u2019<\/p>\n

RUSH: Finally! <\/p>\n

CALLER: (giggling)<\/p>\n

RUSH: Finally! Somebody named a human being after me instead of a dog.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, I did, and I have gotten lots of compliments or lots of not-so-nice things said about it. But, you know, that\u2019s okay. They\u2019re allowed their opinion.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You have swerved into a world of controversy, I — with that name. What\u2019s the first name of your child?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Camden.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Camden.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right. Cal Ripken Jr. was my favorite ballplayer growing up, and we live in the South. So Cal kind of sounds like ‘Moo cow.\u2019<\/p>\n

RUSH: (laughing)<\/p>\n

CALLER: So we named him ‘Camden\u2019 after the ballpark where he played. So that\u2019s what his name is: Camden Rush.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Camden Rush. Well, I\u2019m honored.<\/p>\n

CALLER: He\u2019ll be a year old on Easter.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I am very honored.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, thank you. I\u2019m so happy to name him after you. You\u2019re a great, respected gentleman in our family.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Did your husband have any say so in this?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah, he was fine with it. He said it was cool. He loves you, too.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, cool!<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Cool. I\u2019m sure he asks you what to think now and then, or asked you what you\u2019re thinking so he knows what to think. Yeah.<\/p>\n

CALLER: (giggles)<\/p>\n

RUSH: Anyway, this is very sweet news and I\u2019m happy to hear it, Leslie. Thank you very much.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Okay, thank you, have a great day.<\/p>\n
