A federal judge –James Robertson, US District Court, DC — ordered the release of a Club Gitmo terrorist. Not a run-of-the-mill terrorist. According to the 9\/11 Commission, Mohamedou Ould Slahi, is a “significant Al-Qaeda operative.” He was involved in the 9\/11 attacks. He arranged for Hamburg, Germany terror cell members to train in Afghanistan.<\/p>\n

Judge Robertson\u2019s decision was sealed, but in the terrorist\u2019s 2008 habeas corpus petition, Mohamedou\u2019s lawyers claimed he was subjected to “harsh interrogation techniques” authorized by Donald Rumsfeld. (Thank goodness!) <\/p>\n

So what comes next? Well, in the past, Obama officials said that terrorists who are still a threat, but ordered released, could be held under a Bush-era act: the “Authorization of Use of Military Force.” But for all we know, Mohamedou\u2019s lawyers might now be working for Eric Holder at the Justice Department,which is “reviewing the decision.” Obama could appeal the ruling, too, or just release the guy to rejoin all his other released buddies fighting Americans again on the battlefields of the word.<\/p>\n

Now, imagine if this administration were efficient. Gitmo would\u2019ve been closed already, and this terrorist guywould be in some US city with a “get out of jail free” card. The very notion was ridiculed by the Obama team when critics raised it,but it\u2019s now been proven correct with this ruling.<\/p>\n

Something else this ought toprove. When it comes to national security, Obama, Eric Holder, and the liberals in charge are as dangerousas they are inept.<\/p>\n
