It was fabulous. This just proves &#8212; and I forget who wrote this today &#8212; that great, great families, by the time you get to the third generation all of the grandeur and all of the greatness is gone, and all you end up with is just shirt sleeve type embarrassment. (laughing) I mean not just the Kennedys, the Vanderbilts. I mean, look, Cornelius Vanderbilt built the railroads and one of his offspring or great-grandsons, Anderson Cooper, has 25,000 viewers a night on CNN. I mean these progressions inexorably take place. So we have that for you and some follow-up, some similar meltdowns by other Kennedys that we have chronicled over the years.BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Now to Patrick Kennedy streaming like a madman, angry at the media. This is on the floor of the House yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>P. KENNEDY: (screaming) There\u2019s one, two press people in this gallery. We\u2019re talking about Eric Massa, 24\/7 on the TV. We\u2019re talking about war and peace, $3 billion, a thousand lives, and no press? No press? You want to know why the American public has fit? They\u2019re fit because they\u2019re not seeing their Congress do the work that they sent to do. It\u2019s because the press, the press of the United States, is not covering the most significant issue of national importance and that\u2019s the laying of lives down in the nation for the service of our country. It\u2019s despicable!<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Uh, you want to know why the American people are fit? We\u2019re not fit. We\u2019re morbidly obese! I don\u2019t know what he\u2019s talking about. He might be fit to be tied. Patrick, you know, you really are a dunce. The press was helping you yesterday. If the press had shown up and televised this it woulda hurt your cause. Americans do not want to be defeated, they do not want to surrender. The press did you the biggest favor in the world. Well, not you personally. See what press coverage has gotten you, Patrick? Let\u2019s go back. This kind of runs in the family, October 20th, 1994, in Massachusetts Senator Ted Kennedy on the campaign trail with former President Bill Clinton.<\/p>\n<p>TED KENNEDY: Is this Clinton country? Garahham! (muttering) And after we all do what needs to be done for the next two and a half weeks, and we elect Mark Roosevelt as our governor, and you reelect &#8230; (cheers and applause) And you reelect old Kennedy in the United States Senate, we\u2019re going to start on the \u201996 campaign to elect Bill Clinton, and to reelect him on the muh mahmana mah man (muttering)!<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: So you see, we\u2019ve played this over the course of many months, years, and people take stabs and wild guesses at what the Senator (may he rest in peace) was saying, and he wasn\u2019t saying anything.
