CALLER: May I first say that, Rush, you and Charles Krauthammer are the princes of conservative opinion. I need no one else but you two. You\u2019re terrific.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Thank you. Thank you very much. I know Charles will be happy to be included in my orb.<\/p>\n

CALLER: (laughing) As he should be. Listen, the only time I\u2019ve ever seen Obama have laser-like focus was during the health care summit when he was staring at John McCain with his death ray eyes trying to put an end to him. It was hilarious. But, listen, I have something to say about this health care business.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Quickly.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I don\u2019t call it Obamacare, I call it the Obama con job. It\u2019s nothing but a Ponzi scheme. This is the biggest ‘screw you\u2019 to the middle class that is out there.<\/p>\n

RUSH: It is. It\u2019s almost like Madoff.<\/p>\n

CALLER: It\u2019s worse than Madoff. You talk about taxation being a Ponzi scheme. If they get their hands on the money, the revenue stream that will come in from every man, woman, and child in this country on a monthly basis, once they go to this single payer thing going for them, once they get their hands on that money, that revenue stream, it will never stop. We\u2019ve got to pray to God this thing does not go through.<\/p>\n

RUSH: That\u2019s exactly right. We\u2019re talking about two-and-a-half trillion dollars that they control, which is largely what this is about.<\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: Now, we talked yesterday, ladies and gentlemen, about the largest health insurance company (if you will) in the country is the United States government, and the single most powerful insurance company executive is Barack Obama. He runs the S-CHIP program, he runs Medicare, he runs Medicaid, and the VA. And we went through the progression yesterday: Nobody gets everything they want in those programs. Just because the governments get behind it, they don\u2019t get everything they want, and they constantly complain, and they deny coverage. The number one insurance company that denies claims in this country is Medicare. Medicare denies far more claims than any private insurance company does. <\/p>\n

Yet here\u2019s Obama with all these great reforms that are just going to compound the problems that we already have in government-run insurance. I want to ask you if you would put up with this in the private sector. Essentially if Obama\u2019s bill passes, we get the paygo. We pay now. The taxes and all the other fees and everything will happen immediately as soon as the bill is signed. But the so-called benefits don\u2019t kick in for four years, and this is so that they could get a ten-year score from the CBO of something under a trillion dollars. Now, let me ask you a question. Can you imagine what Obama would say if, say, Blue Cross\/Blue Shield was out there selling policies that you had to pay for every month for four years but you didn\u2019t get any insurance for four years? You had to pay into it, but you couldn\u2019t file a claim for anything no matter what happens for four years, because that\u2019s what they\u2019re proposing. This is Obama\u2019s paygo. It\u2019s a stunt. And it\u2019s a nightmare. <\/p>\n

If you hate your insurance company, you\u2019ve gotta understand that the biggest and the worst is the United States government — Medicare, Medicaid, S-CHIP, VA — and Barack Obama runs it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
