I\u2019ve been listening to you for close to 30 years now and I &#8212; <\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Wait a minute. Wait, wait, wait. Wait a minute, now. Thirty years.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Thirty years. It\u2019s 2010. You had to have been listening to me in 1980 &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: &#8212; when I was working for the Kansas City Royals.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Well, I said &#8216;somewhere in that vicinity.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Well, okay. Close enough.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Okay.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Somebody from Boca Raton.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: I\u2019m very upset about you poking fun at the poor people in Rio Linda and now, what is it, Stuart, Florida?<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: No, Port St. Lucie.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Port St. Lucie, okay. <\/p>\n<p>RUSH: (laughing)<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: You remind me of my rich, wealthy millionaire ex-brother-in-law. I was in his hot tub one day and he said, &#8216;Ho-ho-ho, I wonder hour the poor people are doing,\u2019 and I think that &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Now, wait a second.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: I think that\u2019s pretty low.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Donald?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Yes?<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/01125110.Par.4584.ImageFile.jpg\" width=\"400\" height=\"339\" class=\"alignright\"\/>RUSH: I have never said, &#8216;I wonder how the poor people are doing?\u2019 I did ask, &#8216;What are we going to do about the Christians?\u2019 yesterday, but I have never said, &#8216;I wonder how the poor people are doing?\u2019 and that\u2019s not what I\u2019m doing when I talk about Rio Linda or Port St. Lucie. Donald, in Port St. Lucie they went in to get some Chicken McNuggets, they didn\u2019t have any, and they called 911 thinking they\u2019re going to get Obama. Now, that doesn\u2019t have anything to do with poor. That has to do with stupid.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Well, I don\u2019t think the people in Rio Linda are stupid, either.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Well, they know. The people in Rio Linda love me. You know what\u2019s happened on their property values since I started pointing out that Rio Linda even exists? Do you know the Rio Linda story?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Well, I\u2019ve been there. I\u2019ve gotten lost there, had to be helped out, and they helped out very well in getting to where I wanted to go.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: How in the world could you get lost in Rio Linda?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: It\u2019s only a little place. It\u2019s at the end of &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Well, I know, but it\u2019s not possible to get lost there.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Well, I was looking for someplace else, and they helped me find it.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: And how did you know you weren\u2019t someplace else where you were in Rio Linda?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Well, I asked people.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: It wasn\u2019t the cars jacked up on concrete blocks? It wasn\u2019t the washing machines on the front porches?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Not when I was there. I must have been in a better place.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Well, there are some nice places of Rio Linda but you have to look hard to find \u2019em. You gotta be going there to get there.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: It was just the fact that you try to make the whole town of Rio Linda be stupid people, and they\u2019re not really stupid.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Well, okay, maybe not all of them, but that\u2019s not the point. I\u2019m making a joke. (laughing)<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: There\u2019s stupid people right here in Boca Raton.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Oh, we know, these are people that needed psychological help after Kerry lost the election in \u201904.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Heh. What am I going to tell you?<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: You\u2019ve already told me. What are you doing in a hot tub with your ex-brother-in-law anyway?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Well, I was with my wife, of course, and he was a millionaire, multimillionaire.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: What\u2019s wrong with that?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Nothing wrong with that.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: All right.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: But they\u2019re poking fun at the poor people. I resent that.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: That\u2019s just classless.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Yes.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: That is no class. So he\u2019s an ex-brother-in-law. There\u2019s obviously a reason.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Well, yeah, my wife passed away two years ago.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: He passed away two years ago? I\u2019m sorry to hear that.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: And he passed away about seven years ago. I should say four years ago.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Oh, his wife two years ago, okay. Okay, well, the story of Rio Linda, very simply: When I moved to Sacramento, I had basically five days to familiarize myself with the community. I\u2019m surveying, and nobody\u2019s talking about politics. It\u2019s October of \u201984 and they\u2019re talking about carrot cake recipes for the coming holidays. Oh, this is a golden opportunity. So I started driving around the place, learning about it, and I found this place, Rio Linda, no number on the population sign. I said, &#8216;Nobody will admit living here,\u2019 and you go through the main drag, and literally there were cars on concrete blocks and dishwashers and so forth on the front porch, and, I said, &#8216;Whoa, what is this place?\u2019 and one of the first things I did was offer to move there if they would rename it Limbaugh, California, to elevate property values.
