But man, oh, man, there\u2019s some hot brewing stuff going on out there that, frankly, I\u2019m surprised — ha-ha — is not bigger news than it is. That\u2019s why I\u2019m here. That\u2019s why I am America\u2019s Real Anchorman to tell you what the big news really is, the big news the Drive-By Media, the Democrats in the media are ignoring.<\/p>\n
Now in the news all of a sudden, Barack Hussein O. And Barack Hussein O is in the news for what? (interruption) He\u2019s trashing Trump on corona. He\u2019s blaming Trump for coronavirus. He\u2019s blaming him for the virus. He\u2019s blaming him for the he reaction to the virus. He\u2019s blaming him for the chaotic set of circumstances in the lockdown.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Why is Barack Hussein O doing this? Because it has been revealed that Barack Obama collaborated with the FBI to invent the Russia collusion scandal. We knew this. I mean, grab sound bite number 1. This is February 14th, Valentine\u2019s Day 2017. Listen to this.<\/a><\/p>\n RUSH ARCHIVE: To show you just how lame the media is and how little they\u2019ve got, they\u2019re already asking what did Trump know and when did he know it, and that\u2019s not the question. The question is, what did Barack Obama know and when did he know it and what has he engineered here? This all happened with Flynn back in December. Trump had not even been inaugurated yet. And it\u2019s still mysterious to me what really happened. Even if, even if Flynn, as the incoming national security director, had called the Russian ambassador to talk, so what? That\u2019s not hard to imagine. That\u2019s not a big deal. It really isn\u2019t a big deal.<\/p>\n RUSH: Not at all. The national security adviser, incoming, during the transition would have been calling his counterparts in countries all over the world. It was not unusual. Anyway, my point here is that none of this Trump-Russia collusion stuff could have happened without Obama knowing about it. These people that perpetrated it — the FBI and the DOJ, the Comeys, the McCabes, the Clappers, the Brennans, none of them could have done it without Obama knowing about it, at bare minimum knowing about it, and at worse directing it.<\/p>\n And it turns out he was directing it. It\u2019s that famous Oval Office meeting on January 5th of 2017. I spent many minutes talking about that on Friday. After the program ended on Friday, I saw a post at The Federalist by Mollie Hemingway<\/a>. And she focused on that. And of course the Trump Tower meeting the next day, which the Oval Office meeting on January 5th was to set up. In other words, Obama led a meeting on January 5th, 2017, to plan how to sabotage Trump with the Russia collusion narrative and get it out there the next day in a Comey and Brennan meeting with Trump at Trump Tower.<\/p>\n So it is not a stretch. In fact, it\u2019s factual to say that Obama collaborated to invent the Russian collusion narrative. That\u2019s why Obama is taking all of his time and trying to focus on Trump and his supposedly horrible, chaotic response to the coronavirus. Obama knows he\u2019s got buddies. He knows he\u2019s got sycophants. He knows he\u2019s got butt kissers in the Drive-By Media. But he still needs to give them somewhere to go. So harping on Trump and Trump\u2019s supposed incompetence is Obama\u2019s way of deflecting.<\/p>\n To show you how discombobulated Obama is, grab audio sound bite number 2. The Obama alumni had a conference call last Friday. Now, the Obama alumni is 3,000 former Obama administration sycophants. Butt kissers. People that worked with Obama in his regime. And this is how Obama is characterizing the supposed travesty of the Department of Justice dropping the case, dropping the case against Flynn.<\/p>\n OBAMA: The news over the last 24 hours, I think, has been somewhat downplayed about the Justice Department dropping, uhh, charges against Michael Flynn and the fact there is no precedent that anybody can find for, uhh, someone who\u2019s been charged with perjury, uhh, just gettin\u2019 off scot-free. Uhh, that\u2019s the kind of stuff where you, you begin to, uhh, get worried that basic, not just institutional norms, but, uhh, our basic understanding of rule of law, uhh, is, is, uhh is, uhh, is, uhh, is at risk.<\/p>\n RUSH: This is the guy said to be smarter than everybody. That\u2019s the guy said to be smarter than anybody in the room. He speaks and nobody can compete. That sounded pretty disjointed. But worse than that, here\u2019s Obama saying there\u2019s no precedent that anybody can find for, uh, someone who\u2019s been charged with perjury just getting off scot-free. Well, what\u2019s the problem? Flynn was not charged with perjury. He did not face a single charge of perjury. Yeah, he supposedly lied to the FBI at a process crime, but he did not plead guilty to perjury.<\/p>\n “Oh, come on, Rush.” It\u2019s like Obama saying the 57 states. This guy was given a pass. He is assumed to be brilliant. He has intellectual-speak down pat. In fact, my good friend Dr. Thomas Sowell has a great characterization of Obama\u2019s political genius<\/a>. Writes Dr. Sowell: “Barack Obama\u2019s political genius is his ability to say things that will sound good to people who have not followed the issues in any detail — regardless of how obviously fraudulent what he says may be to those who have,” paid attention. In other words, Obama\u2019s political genius is fooling a bunch of idiots.<\/p>\n But he doesn\u2019t fool smart people — and there\u2019s another thing that I want to toss on the flame here, because I knew this was gonna happen. I didn\u2019t predict it. I stayed silent. I stood mute. But I knew this was gonna happen, and I was hoping it would, and I couldn\u2019t wait \u2019til it did. The Democrat Party and the media all think that the Obamas are universally loved and adored.<\/a><\/p>\n That they are the most respected and the most popular people in or out of politics in the country today. They think that whenever Obama comes along and endorses your candidacy, that you are a slam-dunk winner — and in the vast majority of Obama endorsements, it\u2019s actually the exact opposite, and you have to go no further than Hillary Clinton to prove it.<\/p>\n BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n RUSH: So I checked the email during the top-of-the-hour break, and there\u2019s a couple from people asking, “What do you mean Obama collaborated with the FBI on the collusion story?” Now, most people would get frustrated as all get-out, because we\u2019ve spent years explaining how that happened, and an intense period of time toward the end of last week.<\/p>\n But as long as there is confusion and as long as there are people to persuade, then I will take the time and go through it again — albeit briefly. Look, this is all predicated on the fact that Obama\u2019s now out… Well, it\u2019s not predicated on this, but it\u2019s a great indication that Obama\u2019s now ripping into Trump for his coronavirus response and creating a bunch of chaos and all this.<\/p>\n It\u2019s a deflection because of what we have learned with the release of documents in the Flynn case, and we… (sigh) There are some of us that have known this from the get-go. Other people knew it but were waiting for proof beyond something that I would say, or maybe even other people in the so-called conservative media.<\/p>\n Now we\u2019ve got it. We\u2019ve got evidence, factual evidence of transcripts of testimony of what happened in the January 7th White House Oval Office meeting with Obama and Clapper and Comey and all that. Now, before I get into this, there\u2019s something I have to share with you.<\/p>\n All day Friday when we were talking about this, the earth-shattering day where we learned that people like Clapper and Brennan and Sally Yates, whoever. It doesn\u2019t matter who was brought up to testify before Adam Schiff\u2019s basement committee, they were all saying they had never seen a shred of evidence that Trump or anybody in his campaign had colluded with the Russians to affect the outcome of the 2016 election.<\/p>\n Not a single person, under oath, said they saw evidence. In fact, every damned one of them said they had never seen evidence — and yet, those people were on CNN every night and every day and MSNBC every night and every day and being quoted in the New York Times and Washington Post every day that there was collusion.<\/p>\n That Trump was a Russian spy, that Putin knew “how to run an asset” (i.e., Trump), and I was livid. Remember I told you that I really don\u2019t have the emotional range to tell you how angry this made me, nor do I have the vocabulary? Actually, I do. It was just the way I chose to tell you how damned frustrated this makes me because they got away with this.<\/p>\n They won the House. They didn\u2019t get rid of Trump, but they won the House in the 2018 midterms. They thwarted and derailed much of the Trump agenda. They had statistically half of the people in this country believing that Trump was a Russian agent and therefore a traitor. And yet these people knew that none of this was true and they\u2019re on television lying about it.<\/p>\n The thing that was gnawing at me all day Friday — and it wasn\u2019t until somebody pointed out that Tucker Carlson observed this on his show (Thursday night, Friday night, I don\u2019t remember which), that there were Republicans hearing this testimony.<\/p>\n There were all kinds of Republicans — I could give you the names — on that committee and various committees who have known for two years that Clapper and Brennan and Comey have been lying through their teeth, and they never said a word about it. Now, I asked people about this, “Well, Rush, they can\u2019t. It\u2019s against the law to leak the contents of sworn testimony in an Intelligence Committee hearing.”<\/p>\n You think the Democrats wouldn\u2019t have found a way to get the news out? For crying out loud, this is… It was the one thing gnawing at me all day Friday — and remember, we had a sound bite from The Turtle where he\u2019s acting like he just learned this (impression), “And we\u2019re gonna get to the bottom of this story, and the — the truth always has a way of getting out.”<\/p>\n I\u2019m listening to this in incredulity. I\u2019m incredulous. Then you watch these people, all these Republicans go on TV Friday night to express their outrage what they just learned. They were sitting right there. They heard Clapper! They heard Brennan! They heard the lying testimony! They heard them say for two years, “We don\u2019t have a shred of evidence.”<\/p>\n And not a one of them… Well, I can\u2019t say that because there were Republicans during these two years who were going on television vigorously defending Trump. But there were others who were privy to the testimony who were not. There were Republicans who were suggesting in the midst of this that Trump go ahead and talk to Mueller!<\/p>\n “If you didn\u2019t do anything, you got nothin\u2019 to hide.” In the midst of watching Flynn be railroaded, there were Republicans urging Trump to go talk to Mueller. You know, and it just reinforced for me the reality that it isn\u2019t just a bunch of Democrats that hate Trump and don\u2019t want him anywhere near Washington because he\u2019s an outsider.<\/p>\n There are still plenty of Republicans. Devin Nunes. Do you remember this? Paul Ryan shelved Devin Nunes for nine months on an ethics complaint. The Democrats got mad that Nunes was overstepping his bounds trying to get to the bottom of this.<\/p>\n And Paul Ryan — he was speaker — to show good faith with Democrats, sidelined Nunes on an ethics complaint for nine months in the middle of all this. So it\u2019s the one thing that was gnawing at me the whole time I\u2019m explaining this and talking about it, and I couldn\u2019t put my finger on what it was that was bothering me \u2019til Tucker Carlson referenced it the other night.<\/p>\n I said, “Yep! Bingo!” I mean, imagine. Pick your favorite Republican who you know is on the committee, and they\u2019re listening to Clapper, and they\u2019re listening to Comey, and they\u2019re listening to Brennan. These people are all testifying that they\u2019ve never seen a shred of evidence that Trump colluded with Russia.<\/p>\n Sally Yates, Susan Rice, Samantha Power, Ben Rhodes, they\u2019re all in there — they\u2019re all testifying, all the Obama people — that they\u2019ve never seen a shred of evidence for it. The Republicans on the committee are hearing this day in and day out. Then they go home like the rest of us, they turn on TV, and watch these people lying through their teeth!<\/p>\n And they don\u2019t even make an attempt to subtly correct the record or to subtly… You know, maybe you can\u2019t leak testimony of people under oath in an Intelligence Committee hearing. I understand that. But you wouldn\u2019t have to. “I don\u2019t think these people are telling the truth. I think these people… I don\u2019t think there was any collusion.”<\/p>\n How hard could it have been? I just continue to be frustrated. This went on and is still going on. This is what people are having a hard time understanding. It is still going on. This effort to rid Washington, D.C., of Donald Trump is still going on. It\u2019s now taking place under the umbrella of the coronavirus circumstance with the lockdown and the shutdown and all that.<\/p>\n So if that\u2019s the case — and we know it is. If there were Republicans who knew full well (chuckling) for two years that these people were telling the truth under oath — that there was no collusion, no evidence of it, they\u2019d never seen it — then when it\u2019s time for the pedal to hit the metal, when the rubber hits the road, when it\u2019s time for these people who perpetrated this to pay the kind of price, will the Republicans be there trying to drop the hammer?<\/p>\n When Durham presents his investigation?<\/p>\n There are people who literally ought to be in jail!<\/p>\n There are people who literally need to be indicted. There are people who need to have everything taken away from them like Flynn and Manafort have had taken away from them, the people that ran this operation. There are American citizens including Robert Mueller, Andrew McCabe, James Comey, Peter Strzok Smirk, Lisa Page, Bill Priestap, I go through the list of people, who all participated in the willful destruction of lives of their fellow American citizens.<\/p>\n Now Roger Stone is out saying that the same thing that they did to Flynn happened to him, that they came along and they threatened and promised to ruin him unless he flipped on Trump. And K.T. McFarland, who was a national security adviser in the Trump administration, is saying the same thing, that the Mueller team came along and threatened her with the same kind of personal ruin unless she flipped.<\/p>\n And, by the way, there was nothing to flip on. Stone and K.T. McFarland were being asked to lie. They were being asked to recite. That\u2019s a judicial term for reciting what the prosecutors want you to say. In other words, they build your testimony and you say it in exchange for immunity, say. And both Roger Stone and K.T. McFarland are saying that Mueller\u2019s prosecutors came along and tried the same thing with them that they succeeded in doing with Flynn. They threatened financial, economic, and personal ruin.<\/p>\n So we\u2019ve got Comey, McCabe, Clapper, Brennan, Rosenstein. I mean, you take the whole cast of characters for the entire time this thing was going on, knew for a fact there was no collusion. There was no evidence. The whole thing was a manufactured coup. And they went so far as the attempt to literally ruin innocent Americans who hadn\u2019t done anything except support or be friendly with Donald Trump or work for him.<\/p>\n So the news is that Obama was involved in this from the get-go. Andy McCarthy has written about it. Let me use his words. “Obama officials and FBI collaborated to invent the ‘Russian collusion\u2019 narrative.”<\/a> And Obama is up to it in his eyeballs as well.<\/p>\n “The FBI coordinated very closely with the Obama White House on the investigation of Michael Flynn, while the Obama Justice Department was asleep at the switch. That is among the most revealing takeaways from Thursday\u2019s decision by Attorney General Bill Barr to pull the plug on the prosecution of Flynn, who fleetingly served as President Trump\u2019s first National Security Advisor,” for three weeks.<\/p>\n “Flynn had been seeking to withdraw his guilty plea to a false-statements charge brought in late 2017 by Special Counsel Robert Mueller. While working on the Trump transition team in December 2016, Flynn spoke with Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak, in conversations that” were being wiretapped because all Russian officials and foreign agents are wiretapped routinely by the FBI. So they heard the conversation that Flynn had with Kislyak.<\/p>\n “That these conversations took place has been known for over three years — ever since a still-unidentified government official leaked that classified information to the Washington Post. For almost as long, it has been known that the FBI became aware of the Flynn-Kislyak discussions very shortly after they happened. What was not known until this week was that then-acting attorney general Yates was out of the loop.”<\/p>\n She found out about all of this from President Obama and she was dumbfounded Obama knew every detail of this. This was at that now famous the White House meeting January 5th, 2017. “That was the day when the chiefs of key intelligence agencies briefed top Obama White House officials on their assessment of Russia\u2019s meddling in the campaign,” except that there wasn\u2019t. The whole thing was a meeting designed to entrap Trump and to get rid of Flynn. It wasn\u2019t for an assessment of Russia\u2019s meddling in the campaign because there hadn\u2019t been any. And these people all knew it even then.<\/p>\n She was the acting AG, and she didn\u2019t know what these conspirators were doing, but Obama did. And she was understandably perplexed. How did this get up to the level of the presidency?<\/p>\n “Yates had to figure things out by listening to the exchanges between President Obama and FBI director Comey. … According to an FBI report, which was appended (as Exhibit 4) to the Justice Department\u2019s motion to dismiss the Flynn case, Yates later said she was ‘so surprised by the information she was hearing that she was having a hard time processing it and listening to the conversation at the same time.'”<\/p>\n Meaning she was dumbfounded Obama was involved in this. At any rate, I\u2019ve gotta take a break here. But the cat\u2019s out of the bag now. I have suspected and you know that I have \u2019cause I shared with you that none of this could have happened without Obama signing off on it, without him being involved. This many people, the DOJ, the FBI, the intelligence community would not go rogue on the guy. Remember, they love Obama. They respect Obama. The walls are not closing in on Obama. We wish they were, but they\u2019re not. Who\u2019s gonna close the walls on the guy?<\/p>\n CALLER: You\u2019re right.<\/p>\n RUSH: That\u2019s right.<\/p>\n CALLER: Now that the evidence is coming out of his role in the coup, I think that the chances of Michelle Obama being on the ticket with Biden have increased because with her on the ticket the Democrats can claim that any investigation into Obama is only because Michelle is a political rival of Trump. You know, the Democrats impeached Trump for asking the Ukrainian president to look into Biden, and they will impeach Trump for looking into Obama, claiming, again, it\u2019s politically motivated.<\/p>\n RUSH: There isn\u2019t gonna be an investigation of Barack Obama. It will never happen. I don\u2019t care what they turn up, I don\u2019t care what Durham has, there will never be an investigation of Barack Obama. It just won\u2019t happen. We just don\u2019t do that to ex-presidents. Now, perhaps it will be done to Trump when he leaves. If heads roll on this, if McCabe or Strzok Smirk, Lisa Page, any number of these people, Comey, Clapper, Brennan, Obama will not. It\u2019s something that the United States has just never done. It\u2019s never gone after ex-presidents. Just doesn\u2019t happen.<\/p>\n Now, you might be shouting exceptions, “Well, Rush, they never let Nixon rest in peace.” Nah, but they got rid of him is the point. They forced Nixon to resign. It\u2019s not gonna happen to Obama. So any investigation of Obama that might be insulary towards protecting Michelle Obama isn\u2019t gonna happen. I don\u2019t mean to shut down your argument with such cold water, but I\u2019m not of the belief that Michelle Obama is the automatic vice presidential running… And I never have, by the way, believed that that\u2019s gonna happen.<\/p>\n BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n RUSH: Look, I know that I inspire people to get creative with their political strategy, predictions, thoughts, and so forth, and I don\u2019t mean to be throwing cold water. But there\u2019s no way that Barack Obama is gonna be prosecuted for anything having to do with this scandal no matter what is proven, folks, because, A — number one — is race. There\u2019s just nobody who\u2019s gonna do it.<\/p>\n Then you tap onto that he\u2019s an ex-president, and they\u2019re always afforded the respect out of office. It just isn\u2019t gonna happen. Now, that should not mean that others who were culpable here… There\u2019s a bunch of people here that knowingly lied, who engaged in an absolute, unconstitutional coup, were attempting to overturn the results of an election that was fair.<\/p>\n It was duly constituted.<\/p>\n There was no collusion whatsoever.<\/p>\n The Russians had nothing to do with the outcome of this election. There are people that tried to ruin other people.
