I\u2019m really angry and I\u2019m nervous, and I\u2019m calling because hopefully you can tell me if I\u2019m right or if I\u2019m wrong.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>RUSH: Okay.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>CALLER: All this money that has been put into stimulus packages and all this talk about, you know, helping small businesses. I am retired from GM. I\u2019m a salaried person, not UAW, but I\u2019m retired from GM.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>RUSH: Oh, you\u2019re the enemy, then, yeah.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>CALLER: Yes.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>RUSH: Yeah.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>CALLER: Most definitely. But who is going to prop up our small businesses? Who\u2019s going to go out and buy from small businesses when practically all of our middle-income people\u2019s jobs have been taken away? Manufacturing has been shoved overseas.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>RUSH: Right. Who\u2019s going to go buy a house when they don\u2019t have a job?<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>CALLER: That\u2019s right.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>RUSH: Who\u2019s going to start a business or expand one if they don\u2019t have any customers?<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>CALLER: And I guess the other thing&#8230; I mean, it just seems like this vicious circle here. You know, I actually retired from GMAC. We were the financial arm for GM and now they\u2019ve sold off GMAC. They are now outsourcing our jobs at GMAC overseas.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>RUSH: Yeah.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>CALLER: And they\u2019re taking away decent-paying jobs, and you want to talk about the health care for this country? What do you think GM does? I mean, what of these poor people in this country and other countries that they\u2019ve moved these jobs to that they pay $5 a day to that they say with both these dealers\u2019 contracts, &#8216;Here\u2019s a contest. You book so many contracts and you\u2019re going to get a case of Coke.\u2019 This is the kind of stuff that\u2019s going on. They don\u2019t provide them health care insurance.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>RUSH: Who is &#8216;they\u2019?<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>CALLER: GM.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>RUSH: Who?<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>CALLER: GM.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/01125113.Par.89380.ImageFile.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"224\" class=\"alignright\"\/>RUSH: Oh, GM. GM. Yeah. Well, that\u2019s Obama, now.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>CALLER: And then why is it that these UAW members and that the UAW back these Democrats?<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>RUSH: Well, do you want&#8230;?<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>CALLER: They have created laws to force the manufacturing out of this country.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>RUSH: Do you want me&#8230;?<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>CALLER: Instead&#8230; Just in a minute. Instead of&#8230; You know, here I am working a little job couple days ago a week in Howell for a small business lady and I go to work and they\u2019re ripping up perfectly good roads and redoing it with stimulus money.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>RUSH: That\u2019s the first I\u2019ve heard of that.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>CALLER: Well, the signs were up (laughing) and, you know, I walked into work that day and I said, &#8216;I cannot believe this.\u2019 They\u2019re tearing up roads that are, you know, are not that bad, and here\u2019s the sign, you know, that this is all due to the stimulus money.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>RUSH: Well, do you want me to try to answer some of this?<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>CALLER: Yeah.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>RUSH: Okay.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>CALLER: I want you to really tell me I\u2019m wrong, that I\u2019m not on the right track.<\/line><BR\/> <\/line><BR\/>RUSH: Well, no. You\u2019re not wrong. You do have some cliches about things. Manufacturing has not totally left the country. But there ain\u2019t a whole lot of any activity going on in the private sector right now so you\u2019re essentially right. There\u2019s outsourcing going on all over the place and that\u2019s not going to stop. It simply isn\u2019t going to stop. It\u2019s the nature of things. You know, water seeks its own level and so do wages, labor costs, and so forth. In free markets, this is what happens. But the thing here that you have to understand all of this, the flaw in it &#8212; your discussion of the stimulus and they\u2019re tearing up roads to build new roads and so forth, what you have to basically understand here &#8212; is that the government is broke. It doesn\u2019t have a dollar. We\u2019re running a one-point whatever percent, $1.4 trillion deficit this year. We don\u2019t have any money, Judy. So there\u2019s nothing to &#8216;stimulate\u2019 with. There is no stimulus. You can\u2019t take money out of the private sector and then put it back in and say, &#8216;Ooh, we just stimulated the economy!\u2019 You can\u2019t take a jar of peanut butter out of your cabinet and put it back in and say, &#8216;Ooh, we just added peanut butter to the cabinet!\u2019 This all is a sham.<\/line><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>RUSH: Jody in Brighton, Michigan, it\u2019s great to have you on Open Line Friday.
