<\/p>\nRUSH: By the way, Shelley Luther. The governor of Texas, Greg Abbott, has eliminated jail time as punishment for violating stay-at-home orders. The Texas Supreme Court has ordered her released from prison. She was in jail for a week for refusing to apologize to this left-wing, radical activist judge.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
And the governor came along and said, “That\u2019s crazy. I\u2019m gonna let her out.” But he never did. He never followed through on letting her out. So the Texas Supreme Court, finally, has ordered her release, and now the governor has issued a new order today eliminating jail time as punishment for violating stay-at-home orders.<\/p>\n
And, by the way, the judge was not relying on any kind of a law to put this woman in jail. It was simply one of his judicial fiat orders. There was no law voted on by Texas elected officials that says you can jail people that violate stay-at-home orders.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Mr. Limbaugh, how are you?<\/p>\n
RUSH: I\u2019m doing good. I\u2019m doing good. Thank you.<\/p>\n
CALLER: I\u2019ve been wanting to talk about this judge that\u2019s presiding over the Shelley Luther case here in Dallas.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Judge Moye.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Moye. Yeah, a couple years ago, back in 2016 he pulled a pistol out at a lady on one of the freeways here in Dallas and nothing ever became of it. It kind of just got swept under the rug.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Why did he pull a pistol out on a lady on a freeway in Dallas?<\/p>\n
CALLER: Well, he was presiding over another high profile case, kind of like what\u2019s happening now, and he was scared initially and one of the sheriffs here told him, “Oh, you should carry a firearm with you in case something happens.” But, you know, if you pull a weapon out on somebody here in Texas, you do get put in jail and they do find out why you threatened somebody with a firearm.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Really? You pull a firearm out in Texas and they put you in jail?<\/p>\n
CALLER: Yes. It happened to me personally.<\/p>\n
RUSH: I thought you get a medal in Texas.<\/p>\n

CALLER: No. No, no. Probably in other parts of Texas, but here in Dallas, you know, it\u2019s run by a bunch of —<\/p>\n
RUSH: Well, that\u2019s true. That\u2019s absolutely right. You have a point there.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Did this judge by any chance have a carry permit or not?<\/p>\n
CALLER: In Texas you\u2019re not required to have one from your house to your car. It\u2019s called castle law.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Oh, yeah.<\/p>\n
CALLER: You\u2019re not required to have one.<\/p>\n
RUSH: That\u2019s what I meant. Okay. That\u2019s what I meant.<\/p>\n
CALLER: But still brandishing it in a threatening manner still would involve the police and paperwork and so forth, but nothing ever became of it because obviously he\u2019s a Democrat judge and —<\/p>\n
RUSH: Of course, obviously. You know what? He could probably pull out that pistol in court and threaten the salon owner and nothing would happen to him.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
