RUSH: This wacko professor from the University of Alabama at Huntsville, Amy Bishop. She fired at ten people and hit five or six people or hit three, whatever it was. Because she was denied tenure last April, she just lost it. It was said that this woman was a rabid, fringe-kook liberal who was so into <\/a>Obama that she was off-putting to people. In 1986 she shot her brother, and the DA at the time, current Congressman Bill Delahunt from Massachusetts, decided not to prosecute. Now they\u2019re reviving that and saying he could have charged her. This was not an accident. There could have been some charges but he didn\u2019t charge her. Delahunt, by the way, also now threatening not to run — and in a situation like it is when a Democrat from Massachusetts says, ‘I\u2019m not running,\u2019 I think they mean, ‘I\u2019m not running.\u2019 <\/p>\n

Now we learn ‘In March of 2002\u2019 this wacko professor, Amy ‘Bishop, walked into an [IHOP] in Peabody, Massachusetts,\u2019 this is from the Boston Globe — ‘with her family, asked for a booster seat for one of her children, and learned the last seat had gone to another mother. Bishop, according to a police report, strode over to the other woman, demanded the seat and launched into a profanity-laced rant. When the woman would not give the seat up, Bishop punched her in the head, all the while yelling ‘I am Dr. Amy Bishop!” I\u2019m a professor! I\u2019m a professor! ‘I am Dr. Amy Bishop!\u2019 For this, she ‘received probation and prosecutors recommended that she be sent to anger management classes,\u2019 although this was assault! ‘[I]t is unclear from court documents whether a judge ever sent her [to anger management classes]. The woman, identified in court documents as Michelle Gjika, declined to comment, saying only ‘It\u2019s not something I want to relive.”<\/p>\n

Is it not clear now the only place that would hire this nutcase is a university? The only place that would hire her! It\u2019s stunning to me she did not get tenure. But what I want to know is this. Because each time some kook goes on a shooting rampage out there, the first thing the Drive-Bys do is trying to find out the radio talk show listening habits of the kook — and they turn over every rock. They go through every bit of evidence they can find, desperate to prove that the kook shooter listens to Rush Limbaugh. So far they haven\u2019t been able to find anything. What I want to know is: Where are those same phony Drive-Bys suggesting that this might be Obama\u2019s responsibility, like they\u2019ve been dying to do to me for 20-plus years? Because this woman was so into Obama that she was ‘off-putting.\u2019 Now, we obviously can\u2019t blame Obama for trashing this woman at the IHOP. <\/p>\n

And, by the way, what is a professor doing at an IHOP? Doesn\u2019t she know that professors and elitists wouldn\u2019t dare go into an IHOP or a Denny\u2019s or a McDonald\u2019s or a Burger King or a KFC or a Subway? What the hell is she doing in an IHOP? What\u2019s that great restaurant they took me up there to, H.R.? (interruption) Locke-Ober? Shouldn\u2019t she be in that place? Locke-Ober, that\u2019s where she should be. What\u2019s she doing in a freaking IHOP? (interruption) Well, I know that\u2019s where the common people eat. The ordinary people who end up doing extraordinary things, they go to IHOP, they go to Mickey D\u2019s, they go to Subway, they go to KFC, they go to Pizza Hut. But professors don\u2019t! Somebody tell me the last time anybody saw Skip Gates in an IHOP. Somebody tell me the last time they saw Skip Gates in a Denny\u2019s having the Grand Slam breakfast. This woman went into IHOP, she had a Grand Slam breakfast on the head of another patron.<\/p>\n

And she\u2019s in the tank for Obama! Why does nobody…? Well, I guess somebody just has. Somebody pretty important just has. That would be I, speaking in the nominative.
