<\/p>\nRUSH: Well, now, looky here. We\u2019re gonna go to the audio sound bites. This is Andrew Cuomo. This is in Rochester, New York, today. He held a press conference to talk about the coronavirus pandemic. Tell me where you have heard this before.<\/p>\n

CUOMO: People are all talking about reopening, which we should be talking about. This is not a sustainable situation, close down everything, close down the economy, lock yourself in the home. You can do it for a short period of time, but you can\u2019t do it forever.<\/p>\n
RUSH: He\u2019s six weeks late to this. Who is it that\u2019s been saying this is not sustainable since this all began? That would be me. And it\u2019s been Governor Cuomo who has been suggesting that, “Oh, no, we\u2019re nowhere near being able to ease. Oh, no, it\u2019s still too bad out there.” Now all of a sudden the lockdown is not sustainable.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Here\u2019s Patty. Patty in New Berlin, Illinois — is it New Berlin or New Berlin? How is it pronounced in Illinois?<\/p>\n
CALLER: New Berlin.<\/p>\n
RUSH: New Berlin. Okay, great. I thought so. Great to have you with us.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Hi, Rush. I\u2019m from Central Illinois, as you know, and I want to wish you the best.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Thank you very much.<\/p>\n
CALLER: But I wanted to tell you that for the first time I am proud of a reporter in Illinois who confronted our J.B. Pritzker governor and asked him if it was true that his wife was out of town at a ranch down in Florida and did he deem that essential travel? And he laid into that reporter. But it was great. And then a few days later Tucker had it on his show.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Oh, really?<\/p>\n
CALLER: He did.<\/p>\n
RUSH: So governor J.B. Pritzker\u2019s wife —<\/p>\n
CALLER: Yes.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Engaged in travel to some sort of a health spa or something in Florida, is that right?<\/p>\n
CALLER: A horse ranch, I heard.<\/p>\n
RUSH: A horse ranch. So J.B. Pritzker\u2019s wife goes to a horse ranch in Florida, and he\u2019s —<\/p>\n
CALLER: And it\u2019s none of your business, he said.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh, he went to Wellington, he went to the polo club, oh, okay. Ah, I should have known, if you\u2019re gonna bring horses and — Wellington. Oh, okay. So Mrs. J.B. Pritzker is in Wellington, and so what? What\u2019s the problem with that? Why can\u2019t his wife come to Florida?<\/p>\n
CALLER: Well, we\u2019re only supposed to have essential travel here. And the reporter asked him, did he deem that essential travel?<\/p>\n
RUSH: Get his wife out of town? Hell, yes, it\u2019s essential.<\/p>\n
CALLER: What my family does is none of your business, he said.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Exactly right.<\/p>\n
CALLER: And where they are.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Exactly right. J.B. Pritzker. You know, that\u2019s the Hyatt hotels family.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Right.<\/p>\n
RUSH: They\u2019re not gonna take any grief from some low ball totem pole reporter?<\/p>\n
CALLER: Yeah. But isn\u2019t that great to finally have somebody confront a Democrat.<\/p>\n
RUSH: I understand. It was good a reporter actually asked a Democrat a tough question. It\u2019s so rare that a generates a phone call to the EIB Network. “Hey, Rush, a reporter here actually asked J.B. Pritzker a legitimate question.” Anyway, I\u2019m glad you called, Patty. Thanks very much. (interruption) What\u2019s gonna be remembered from that exchange? What do you mean? (interruption) If you\u2019re J.B. Pritzker, I said, getting your wife out of town\u2019s essential. If you\u2019re J.B. Pritzker, absolutely it\u2019s essential, that\u2019s how essential travel would be defined.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Thank you, Rush. I listen to you all the time, and I appreciate what you say.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Well, I really appreciate that. Can\u2019t ask for more than that.<\/p>\n
CALLER: The truth is more important than anything else. Yeah, I just… After Cortez\u2019s comment telling people to refuse to work, it just got me so upset. (chuckling) I\u2019m 70 years old, and I still want to work. Right now, I\u2019m per diem — and of course, the full time take more than they want. But now I\u2019m trying to get travel assignment so I can do more work, \u2019cause I like what I do, and that\u2019s the way I grew up.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Mmm-hmm.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Everybody in my family is 60 and over and we all work. That\u2019s what we were taught. You work for a living. And there\u2019s nothing wrong with it. I mean, it\u2019s, you know, the American thing to work for a living.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Right.<\/p>\n
CALLER: And what she\u2019s teaching is what welfare did a long time ago, what they should have done a long time —<\/p>\n
RUSH: You\u2019re talking about this Democrat governor, right?<\/p>\n
CALLER: Ugh-ewwww! (laughing) And Cortez is one of those… What do they call those, the four…? (sigh) Oh, I can\u2019t think of the name, I get so upset. Yeah, and our governor isn\u2019t any better. She\u2019s a twin of Pelosi.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Yeah.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Same ideals, the wrong ideals, not the American dream, not what we were taught to live free.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Well, now, this is a major thing that you have. You get to a certain demographic, and it\u2019s just the way of the world. You work. You make your way in the world. You work, you earn, you provide for yourself. You hope to do better so you earn more so you provide more.<\/p>\n
That is a value system that may not be common, may not be commonly passed down with certain demographic and cultural sections or segments of the country now. The Democrat Party would prefer people be dependent on them than be self-sufficient out there, and that\u2019s what we\u2019re up against here.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
