CALLER: Rush, awesome to talk to you today.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Thank you, sir.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hey, I\u2019ve got a series of quick examples that could kind of make a nice little package as to why liberalism, statism, Marxism, is going to fail, and it all starts out with — if you have a minute.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, go right ahead. Zip through it for me.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Okay. Just a few years ago I decided to improve my knowledge of my trade and moved to England to study, and when I went there I learned some things. Number one, I learned that during the first century AD, it was warm enough in England that the Romans had vineyards to produce wine. And only in the last 30 years have they been able to start growing grapes again in England to produce wine.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, that\u2019s true, the Romans wouldn\u2019t go anywhere you couldn\u2019t grow wine grapes.<\/p>\n

<\/a>CALLER: Absolutely they wouldn\u2019t. That was a staple for them. Number two, when we were there my wife was pregnant, and we experienced a bit of their national health care system. And instead of having a child there for free, we came home and without insurance I paid out of pocket to have our child here in the States because of how much better it is here. And then lastly, we decided, when our first son was born, we decided to name him Rush — <\/p>\n

RUSH: Whoa.<\/p>\n

CALLER: — after you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Whoa!<\/p>\n

CALLER: We\u2019ve taken it on ourselves to teach all of our children — we have three and one on the way — we\u2019re teaching them all conservative principles. Now, the reason why I say this is a neat little package for why liberalism and statism is going to fail is because, number one, any brief review of history can teach you the flaws and the falsehoods in liberal ideology.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, not to douse cold water on you, that\u2019s true, but the public education system is not teaching those things.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes.<\/p>\n

RUSH: People have to be exposed to them outside the public school system.<\/p>\n

CALLER: That\u2019s true, Rush. But then that comes to my last point, which I\u2019ll make now instead of at the end, is that parents who teach their children correct principles, constitutional values and the way to govern themselves are also those who don\u2019t abort their children.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, obviously. I mean you can\u2019t teach an aborted child anything.<\/p>\n

CALLER: That\u2019s right. So, you know, by just a series of tests, looking at how — you know, and anybody who\u2019s experienced liberalism at its peak, you know, such as a national health care plan, doesn\u2019t want any part of it. People don\u2019t want it. They don\u2019t enjoy it. It\u2019s not a good system, it\u2019s not beneficial.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, that\u2019s true, when they find out — and that\u2019s what\u2019s happening here. There is an awakening going on, there\u2019s no question about that, there\u2019s no question you\u2019re right about that. Look, I\u2019m glad you called, Nick, thanks very much. I\u2019m honored you named a child after me, not a dog. Most people name their dogs after me, but this guy named a human being after me! I mean that is an honor.
