RUSH: You know, people have sent me questions: “You never did get to the Donald Trump-Paul Ryan contretemps.” That\u2019s right. Right. You know why? Because it isn\u2019t a priority with me. I\u2019m sorry. I was gonna get into it, but in the grand scheme of things, it\u2019s just another one of these (panting), “Gotta care about! Gotta care about it! Gotta write about it!” I\u2019m gonna tell you everything you need to know about it. Basically what it is, is Ryan won\u2019t endorse Trump yet. Trump comes back and says… Well, I forget what Trump said, but it was a typical Trump response. I\u2019ll just tell you this. This is all you need to know.<\/p>\n


\nIf Trump, in order to get Ryan\u2019s support, moves toward the Republican agenda, it is not good for Trump. That would be an error. It would maybe even be an unforced error. Trump is where he is precisely because he\u2019s not perceived as being part of that. So if anybody\u2019s gonna move here, it\u2019s… I mean, Trump\u2019s the nominee. Figuratively yet. He hasn\u2019t got it locked down. But that\u2019s my thought on it, that if there\u2019s compromise here, it better be not Trump moving to Ryan.
