I had an interview Friday afternoon (<a xhtml:id=\"\/content\/home\/daily\/site_020310\/content\/01125120\" href=\"\/\/\/content\/home\/daily\/site_020310\/content\/01125120.html\">transcript, video<\/a>) with Gretchen Carlson out in Las Vegas. First question: &#8216;So, for those who are critics of you in judging the Miss America Pageant saying that you haven\u2019t been a supporter of women in the past, what do you say?\u2019<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/video.foxnews.com\/v\/3999901\/rush-limbaugh-on-fox--friends\/?playlist_id=87249\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/01125109.Par.89380.ImageFile_579144ae7834a.jpg\" width=\"349\" height=\"207\" class=\"alignright\"\/><\/a>RUSH ARCHIVE: I\u2019m a huge supporter of women! What I\u2019m not is a supporter of liberalism. Feminism is what I oppose and feminism has led women astray. I love women. I don\u2019t know where this gets started. I love the women\u2019s movement &#8212; especially when walking behind it. This idea that I don\u2019t like women is absurd! And this is Miss America, and if there\u2019s a Mr. America out there, it\u2019s me.<\/p>\n<p>CARLSON: (laughs)<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: So this is a perfect fit.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Now, this next is the bomb. This is the one that the State-Run Media is headlining all over the place: &#8216;Limbaugh Thanks God Obama is Failing!\u2019 Her question: &#8216;[W]hile you were out here in Vegas, there was a big State of the Union speech by President Obama.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>RUSH ARCHIVE: State of Obama speech.<\/p>\n<p>CARLSON: (laughs) Is that what you\u2019re calling it?<\/p>\n<p>RUSH ARCHIVE: State of Obama.<\/p>\n<p>CARLSON: So I assume you had a chance to see it even though you\u2019ve been working nonstop.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH ARCHIVE: Well, yeah. I gave up after 50 minutes. I heard it all before. There was nothing new in it. The only difference was the tone. I went back and listened to some of his soaring rhetorical speeches during the campaign. This was defensive, petulant, immature, childish, sarcastic. He\u2019s clearly angry that he\u2019s been rejected &#8212; that his wonderfully brilliant ideas (health care and cap and trade) have been rejected. I saw a guy, a young, inexperienced guy just mad. I think, Gretchen &#8212; I really do &#8212; I think this is the first time in his life that there\u2019s not a professor around to turn his C into an A or to write the law review article for him that he can\u2019t write. He\u2019s totally exposed. There\u2019s nobody to make it better. I think he\u2019s been covered for all of his life. The fact that his agenda has totally failed this year is the best thing that could have happened to this country. I thank God every day that this is going down the tubes, that that Massachusetts election happened. Not that God had anything to do with it. That\u2019s just the person I thank.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: And that &#8212; those last four lines; but all of that, that whole bite &#8212; you know, they\u2019re acting like volcanoes today. TheHill.com started running stories about it last night. &#8216;The fact that his agenda has totally failed this year is the best thing could have happened to the country.\u2019 Hey, I\u2019m just being consistent. I said a year ago I wanted him to fail for this exact reason. He\u2019s not failing at everything. He is succeeding very much at destroying the private sector and enlarging government. But not for long. <\/p>\n<p>BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Here\u2019s the third little short bite from the interview with Gretchen Carlson on Fox &amp;amp; Friends today. Part two, by the way, is tomorrow &#8212; unless they edited it into one. When she told her they were going to do two parts, I think she said 15 or 20 minutes. How long was today\u2019s segment, Snerdley? (interruption) Ten minutes? It seemed like ten minutes? Well, that couldn\u2019t have been all of it, so I don\u2019t know. We\u2019ll find out. As a powerful, influential member of the media I know people over there, and I can find out what they plan on doing tomorrow. <\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s the final third little bite.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH ARCHIVE: [The Scott Brown election] is just the tip of the iceberg. That\u2019s just an indication of what\u2019s coming in November. I mean, I don\u2019t think&#8230; I think the Democrats are rocked back on their heels more than they\u2019re letting on. They\u2019re shocked. This is &#8216;the Kennedy seat\u2019! If there is ever an entitlement in politics, it\u2019s (makes air quotes) &#8216;the Kennedy seat,\u2019 and it\u2019s gone, and it wasn\u2019t even close.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Yeah, and there are more losses coming. A bunch of people looking at this.
