CALLER: Hello, Maha Rushie, it\u2019s an honor to speak with you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Thank you.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Rush, we\u2019ve heard you many times mention that you refuse to participate in the recession, and we all know that one of the main reasons why the economy is not rebounding is because consumers aren\u2019t spending.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Right.<\/p>\n

CALLER: But I put forth with your unfettered spending that you are actually enabling Obama and his policies.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes. What if —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh, no.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes.<\/p>\n

RUSH: How can this possibly be? What do you mean my unfettered spending?<\/p>\n

CALLER: You can — (laughing) — Rush, we all know you\u2019re very wealthy, right? You can spend unfettered, I mean you don\u2019t have any limits to what you can spend.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I certainly do.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, Rush, come on, you don\u2019t. But my point is what if 50 to 60 million of the people that voted against him and that oppose his radical policies refuse to participate in the economy? You know, they have basically stopped spending because they don\u2019t know what is coming down the pike, what kind of taxes are coming down the pike. Would that be considered unpatriotic? Would that be considered wishing for the economy to fail if we said, you know what, I\u2019m not going to enable your policies, I\u2019m not going to —<\/p>\n

RUSH: No. I think your long-term objective is to kill the policy so that the economy rebounds, right?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Exactly.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah. You\u2019re not trying to kill the economy, he is.<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, but if people are not spending, that is hurting the economy. That\u2019s the main reason —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Look, there\u2019s a whole bunch of millions of people that can\u2019t spend much because all they\u2019ve got is unemployment compensation.<\/p>\n

CALLER: That\u2019s true.<\/p>\n

RUSH: A lot of this is already happening. There is no economic activity to speak of. There certainly is no growth, precisely for all the reasons that you mention plus the unemployment.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right. But people like me, I can spend. I don\u2019t really want to. I\u2019m caught between a rock and a hard place. My husband is part-owner of a business, and they need the economy to rebound, and they need people to be spending.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yes.<\/p>\n

CALLER: But I\u2019m of the notion that that would enable Obama\u2019s policies and his radical agenda if I start spending. I mean I\u2019ve cut down basically on all of my spending, I mean I still do a little bit like for my children and stuff like with dance and music and that kind of thing.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I hear you. I\u2019ve cut back on my own.<\/p>\n

CALLER: (laughing) Rush.<\/p>\n

RUSH: In a lot of ways.<\/p>\n

CALLER: But you don\u2019t need to. And you are a —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Where do you come off? Where do you get this ‘I don\u2019t need to\u2019? What makes you think that I have no limits on what I can spend?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, because you make a lot of money, you make millions every year. But if you want to you can spend whatever you want to spend, you can go wherever you want to go any time you want to do it. You can redecorate your house every year if you wanted to.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, but for example, if I wanted to say buy a Boeing 757, I couldn\u2019t.<\/p>\n

CALLER: But you can buy a — what kind of plane do you have?<\/p>\n

RUSH: That\u2019s nobody\u2019s business. We all have limits, is the point. George Soros, Bill Gates, and Warren Buffett, they don\u2019t, and Obama doesn\u2019t have limits with his budget.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right, true, right. He\u2019s spending our money.<\/p>\n

RUSH: But, look, I\u2019ve told pilots to throttle back to 500 miles an hour to save jet fuel \u2019cause the price is skyrocketing on jet fuel. So look, I\u2019m doing my part.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Okay, okay, maybe I misspoke a little bit there. But still your spending is, you know, it doesn\u2019t compare to like my spending, you know, what I would be doing. But that\u2019s the point, though. I mean if we participate in his economy, we enable him. But, on the other hand, do we destroy the economy by not participating?<\/p>\n

RUSH: No, he\u2019s destroying the economy. People spending are saving it. People that are still engaged in commerce are saving it and people that are trying to rebound and so forth are trying to save it. We are being governed against. The president and his party are governing and legislating against the people of this country. People are just holding on out here. This situation is tear-jerking. It is horrible out there, what is happening to people, because when you realize that this is being done on purpose, I think about this for a long time and my blood boils.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
