RUSH: Oh, goody.<\/p>\nRUSH: See, here we go. Governor Cuomo: “Sometimes you need an emergency to force change.” What change? Sometimes you need…? So, now we\u2019re looking at this as a positive! Now some people are looking at this as a positive. Grab audio sound bite number 22. Here\u2019s Governor Cuomo assuring the media that cases are still going up.<\/p>\n
CUOMO: We\u2019re studying the charts. We\u2019re trying to study the data, follow the data. The data is uneven. It bounces. Numbers often bounce in any model. There are variables in this model. You see the basic line is still up.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Oh, goody.<\/p>\n
CUOMO: What the statisticians will tell you is you basically draw the straight line that the columns indicate, and you see that we\u2019re still going up —<\/p>\n
RUSH: Goody.<\/p>\n
CUOMO: — which is what we see on the overall trajectory, that we\u2019re still going up.<\/p>\n
RUSH: So, Governor Cuomo has reassured the media we\u2019re still going up — we\u2019re still getting an increasing number of cases — which is good for the get-Trump movement. Now it\u2019s good because “sometimes you need an emergency to force change.” It\u2019s kind of like Rahm Emanuel. “You don\u2019t want to let a good crisis go to waste.”<\/p>\n
BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n
RUSH: Governor Cuomo, here\u2019s what he\u2019s talking about when he said that sometimes you need an emergency to force change, he\u2019s talking about ending the private hospital system. Here\u2019s the audio sound bite.<\/p>\n
CUOMO: The conversation I had with these hospital leaders yesterday in that room, if it was not for the coronavirus, I would have never made it out of that room. I mean, what I was saying was so antithetical to the foundation of the business of health care in this state, which, by the way, is a multibillion-dollar business.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Really?<\/p>\n
CUOMO: It\u2019s rife with common sense, but sometimes you need the emergency to force change that would be very, very difficult otherwise.<\/p>\n
RUSH: They want to get rid of the private hospital system in New York, have the state, I guess, take it over. And so they\u2019re gonna use the coronavirus as an opportunity to do this.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I\u2019m going to tell you something else that I think out there, using some common slang, I\u2019m going to tell you, I think it\u2019s gonna speed up the return to normalcy, and that is when health care professionals are finally protected from the people that have the disease when they come in to see them in the hospital, doctor\u2019s office, or whatever. It is clear is that we don\u2019t yet have enough protection for all of the people the health care industry is dealing with with coronavirus patients. Now, that\u2019s spotty. In some states it\u2019s okay, not a problem. In other states there are shortages, shortages of gowns, masks. I\u2019m not talking about ventilators. I\u2019m talking about the things that would protect the doctors and nurses.<\/p>\n
And once that\u2019s in place, if we could get that up and running where everybody in the health professional treatment world can be guaranteed of being protected against the disease, then it\u2019s gonna free things up as well. But as long as the health care professionals, doctors and nurses, are susceptible to getting the disease and therefore being useless, well, that\u2019s gonna be a hamstring on any effort at a return to normalcy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
