RUSH: To the audio sound bites. Ben Bernanke. They\u2019re after him. Some people want to take away some of his powers. He was at the Economic Club in Washington yesterday, he spoke, and the president of the club, David Rubenstein said, ‘Do you expect the Fed will get all the money back that it has injected into the system in terms of loans to corporations?\u2019<\/p>\n

BERNANKE: Yes, I do. I think we\u2019re in very good shape. I think, in fact, certainly the actions we took were not from the perspective of profit maximization by any means. But, in fact, I do believe we\u2019re going to get back all of the money, and, indeed, we are going to be showing for the taxpayer a fairly significant extra income.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Not for long, because Obama just announced today he\u2019s going to spend it on infrastructure: roads, bridges, and schools, which, there\u2019s still $600 billion in the stimulus package that was earmarked for that that has not been spent on that. This is great. Dick Durbin, yesterday on Dr. Nancy on PMSNBC. Dr. Nancy Snyderman said, ‘Senator, when President Obama came by to see you on Sunday, did you hear from him what you wanted to hear?\u2019<\/p>\n

DURBIN: The president having served in the Senate knows what it means when we give up a weekend and stay in session. It\u2019s a sacrifice that we make, and do it rarely, only on the most important circumstances, and this is one of them. And the president more than anything stepped back and reminded us all why we do this for a living, why we\u2019ve decided on public service and why we make these sacrifices.<\/p>\n

RUSH: What a crock! You want sympathy from us, you guys are up there destroying the United States private sector, you want sympathy? How hard you\u2019re working, oh, it\u2019s such a calling, public service. It\u2019s called get rich quick via theft. Good grief. These people, they really do consider themselves royalty. Obama didn\u2019t go up there and thank them for working on weekends. He went up there and said, (imitating Obama) ‘Reid, you go out and you tell the Republicans they\u2019re acting no different than people did when they tried to maintain slavery, that\u2019s what you tell \u2019em.\u2019 Reid says, (imitating Reid) ‘This war is lost. Okay. I\u2019ll do it.\u2019 And he goes out there and does it. We don\u2019t know that Harry Reid knows this Zeese guy, either, nor do we know if Obama knows him. We don\u2019t know if he\u2019s gotten into a state dinner or crashed a White House function. Barbara Boxer on the Senate floor yesterday.<\/p>\n

BOXER: The men who have brought us this don\u2019t single out a procedure that\u2019s used by a man or a drug that is used by a man that involves his reproductive health care and say they have to get a special rider. There\u2019s nothing in this amendment that says if a man someday wants to buy Viagra, for example, that his pharmaceutical coverage cannot cover it, that he has to buy a rider. I wouldn\u2019t support that. And they shouldn\u2019t support going after a woman using her own private funds for her reproductive health care.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, there\u2019s a big difference here. Nobody dies when Viagra is prescribed. Nobody dies when Viagra is used. But every time an abortion takes place somebody dies. And, by the way, what is this private funds for reproductive health care crap? Abortion funding will be in whatever health care bill. Their big vote on it supposedly is gonna happen today. They\u2019re not going to vote on it if they don\u2019t have the votes to make it pass; they\u2019re not going to vote on it if they don\u2019t get that. It will be fascinating to watch. Comparing Viagra to abortion in Obamacare, to say Viagra is the male equivalent of a woman\u2019s right to choose? I played golf with a guy, a very old guy — I didn\u2019t play golf, I went out and had lunch with some people Saturday, this guy, he has to take a half of a Viagra a day just to keep from urinating on his shoes.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Barbara Mikulski in Washington, DC, senator from Maryland, on the Senate floor said this. It\u2019s audio sound bite number eight.<\/line> <\/line>MIKULSKI: Eight states consider domestic violence a preexisting condition, and you can\u2019t get insurance. One woman who had a medically mandated C-section was told she couldn\u2019t get insurance again unless she had a sterilization, coerced sterilization, in the United States of America. I thought that\u2019s what they did in Nazi Germany or in the old communist China.<\/line> <\/line>RUSH: Uh, ‘old communist China?\u2019 They still do that, essentially, in the ChiCom community. So she\u2019s comparing health insurers here to Nazis. Well, now, she did that, right? She put it out there. Did we all agree? Now, I, El Rushbo, am going to respond. Just as when Pelosi called us all Nazis during the tea parties, I responded, but they conveniently forgot that Pelosi started it. So here\u2019s Mikulski and she has just said what the insurance companies are doing is what Nazis did. Now she\u2019s talking about the Holocaust, right? I\u2019m not going to talk about the Holocaust. But Ms. Mikulski, the Nazis did exactly what you are doing in health care. They sought to nationalize it, put themselves in charge of it because they could regulate every citizen\u2019s life, and isn\u2019t that what you and your Democrat colleagues are doing in not just the Senate, but the House as well? So if you want to start making comparisons to the national socialists, be careful where it may lead others.<\/line><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
