RUSH: Marian in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, you\u2019re next on the Rush Limbaugh program. Hi.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hi, Rush. I\u2019m glad to finally speak to you. I just want to mention, I just returned from China, and it\u2019s an amazing place. I mean, nothing like what I expected.<\/p>\n

RUSH: What did you see?<\/p>\n

CALLER: We were in Beijing. We went throughout the country.<\/p>\n

RUSH: How was the food? I have to ask, how was the food?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Not good.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well.<\/p>\n

CALLER: The hotels, we stayed in two four-, five-star hotels. I don\u2019t know if I can mention the names.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Sure.<\/p>\n

CALLER: They were Westins in Beijing and Shanghai. The food was excellent. It was buffet style. And we were on a tour. We had a Peking dinner night at a theater, which I was really looking forward to because I\u2019ve had Peking duck in New York.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Is that what you had, Peking duck?<\/p>\n

CALLER: It was awful. It was almost inedible, and I don\u2019t know if it was like the tour thing or whatever, that was what they served.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I had Peking duck in the Tsim Sha Tsui area of Hong Kong, and I\u2019d never seen it before. Now wait a minute. It wasn\u2019t Peking duck. What I had was duck in a mud brick thing. The waiter came and chopped the mud away from it. The mud served as the oven that it was cooked in. I forget what it was called, but it wasn\u2019t bad. But I gotta tell you something. When I was in Hong Kong — and this was back in the eighties — I rejoiced when I finally found a McDonald\u2019s. I couldn\u2019t even find fried rice the way we have it here. There\u2019s no such thing over there.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Anyway, you probably saw a whole lot of economic activity over there, right? You saw a lot of economic growth, that\u2019s what surprised you?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Amazing. Well, first of all, most of our group got sick from the pollution. That was probably the biggest negative. I mean, the pollution was horrendous. My throat was sore and —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah.<\/p>\n

CALLER: — I was congested and I did come home with a cold.<\/p>\n

RUSH: The ChiComs are also disappointed about that, because Obama came over there and he\u2019s talking about lowering the sea levels and everything, and what the ChiComs wanted to do is get rid of the smog. And he\u2019s been unable to do it so he\u2019s a flop. They\u2019re not even allowing any cameras to follow him around for local Chinese television. People don\u2019t even know Obama is there.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
