CALLER: Rush, I love your show. Thank you so much for taking my call.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You bet.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I really appreciate you. You know, I\u2019ve been on hold for two hours but it\u2019s been worth it because if my wife is on schedule she\u2019s listening to us right now.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, excellent!<\/p>\n

<\/a>CALLER: I wanted to tell you we are fired up about this protest tomorrow. My wife is actually… We don\u2019t have to a lot of money. I\u2019m a truck driver. I\u2019m actually in Bristol, Connecticut, now right down the road from ESPN. But we don\u2019t really have a lot of money because I took a huge pay cut this year. We\u2019re going to take 180 bucks, take our kids out of our school. And my wife and my daughter, Katrina and Miranda, are going to DC and they\u2019re going to get in our congressman\u2019s face and we\u2019re going to say, ‘Just say no.\u2019 We\u2019re tired of this. They work for us, not the other way around.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I know but they don\u2019t look at it that way. It\u2019s long past them look at it like that. And why would they when they can vote themselves raises? <\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah, that\u2019s true.<\/p>\n

RUSH: If they worked for us… I mean, I\u2019ve never had a say-so on whether they get a raise.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, no, they never asked me because I sure as heck wouldn\u2019t vote for it, but that\u2019s not the point. I mean, we\u2019ve already got a conservative in line to take his seat. Our congressmen is Tim Ryan, 17th of Ohio. This guy is going down. He actually voted for the cap and trade, even though he was on the radio a couple days later saying, ‘Well, all my constituents said they don\u2019t want me to vote for it but I voted for it anyway.\u2019 You just told your bosses you didn\u2019t want to listen to them! He\u2019s toast, guy.<\/p>\n

RUSH: That\u2019s happening on the Democratic Party side of this. But your call is illustrative that this is effervescent. There is a bubbling up out there.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, Rush, it\u2019s like fire in me.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I was asked about Sarah Palin a moment ago. I think… You know, Sarah Palin is an average, normal person. You can see her at anybody\u2019s house having dinner. And the more people attack her, the more they are attacking middle class, average, ordinary, everyday people. I think there\u2019s a line that\u2019s already been crossed with her. You watch her book sales. You watch.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Mmm-hmm.<\/p>\n

RUSH: The people are going to be stunned over this. They\u2019re trying to harm her book sales, they\u2019re trying to assure she is perceived as a joke — and she keeps out there plugging and I don\u2019t know if she\u2019s going to be at this thing tomorrow. I haven\u2019t heard.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I\u2019ll tell you what: You know who else better to watch is Michele Bachmann. She\u2019s going to be well into the next speakership.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You know, that\u2019s another one: Marsha Blackburn in Tennessee. Now, I find this… I\u2019m very proud. I want everybody to listen to me. I am very, very proud here that three of the most vocal, principled, action-oriented, not-standing-down-but-standing-up-to-all-of-this onslaught in our party are women. Sarah Palin, Michele Bachmann (who is helping to organize this thing tomorrow), Marsha Blackburn, and there are others. We\u2019ve had to go through this mindless criticism that we are anti-female, anti-this, anti-that — and, of course, nothing could be further from the truth. It\u2019s great and I\u2019m proud that that\u2019s the case in our party. Thanks very much for the call out there, Bob. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
