CALLER: Rush Limbaugh. Mmm, mmm, mmm. <\/p>\n

RUSH: (laughing)<\/p>\n

CALLER: You look great on TV, by the way, but I wanted to comment on what that boob Axelrod had to say. <\/p>\n

RUSH: Hey, before you do that, let\u2019s play what Axelrod said.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Okay.<\/p>\n

RUSH: People may have missed it because he was on CBS and nobody watches that show.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Of course.<\/p>\n

RUSH: So we\u2019ve got… Let\u2019s see. I\u2019ve got three or four of them here. Here\u2019s the first question. Bob Schieffer says, ‘Last week, casualties Afghanistan hit a new high. Obama went to Dover Air Force Base. This morning on Fox News, Limbaugh said it\u2019s a photo op. What is your reaction to what Limbaugh said?\u2019<\/p>\n

AXELROD: My reaction is that I think that the president of the United States went to Dover to represent the American people and pay his respect[s] to the families who had made, uh, so much of a sacrifice to those brave uhh, uhh, service people who made the ultimate sacrifice. It was the appropriate thing to do, and I think most Americans, uhh, appreciate that.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I don\u2019t think most Americans bought it as genuine and sincere.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I don\u2019t.<\/p>\n

RUSH: It was a photo op. What did you think it was?<\/p>\n

CALLER: A photo op. It was a perfect opportunity to fat face on camera again. If he spent as much time doing his job as he does trying to get his face on television.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Wait a minute, Suzanne.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah?<\/p>\n

RUSH: He\u2019s not fat. <\/p>\n

CALLER: (chuckles)<\/p>\n

RUSH: In fact, the Drudge Report has a picture of Obama coming out of a gym, and everybody\u2019s worried at how thin he\u2019s gotten, how skinny he\u2019s gotten. The White House says, ‘No, he\u2019s not chain smoking. This is a result of rigorous workout this morning.\u2019<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, it\u2019s stress and fear. That makes you lose weight every time.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, I\u2019ve never tried that way, stress and fear.<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, but see you\u2019re not an entertainer to them, you\u2019re a threat. That\u2019s the problem.<\/p>\n

RUSH: It\u2019s the entertainer comment? That\u2019s what bothers you?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, sure. Well, the fact that you\u2019re not an entertainer, although I find you highly entertaining, and Snerdley is one of my favorites. But you\u2019re an absolute threat. Everything you say is true. They have no way to rebuke or rebut what you say. So they all sit there and agree like you speak for the rest of us and it\u2019s like, ‘I think the American people would be happy…\u2019 Don\u2019t you open your mouth and talk for me. <\/p>\n

RUSH: (laughs)<\/p>\n

CALLER: That jackass, does he even know the name of the family he went to see?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Probably not.<\/p>\n

RUSH: No, I think he did because he had to get permission and only one family did it.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Exactly, and I wonder how much that cost. I\u2019m sure there was a donation made in order for that family to say, ‘Yeah, okay.\u2019<\/p>\n

RUSH: What are you referring to? Like what kind of a donation, Suzanne?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Monetary donation to the family or monetary donation to a charity that the son… ‘Oh, give it to the Marines or to the widows fund or to something but we\u2019ll make a nice little quiet, under the table donation.\u2019<\/p>\n

RUSH: Ah, no<\/p>\n

CALLER: Something.<\/p>\n

RUSH: No, no, no. <\/p>\n

CALLER: How much you wanna bet?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Suzanne, now you\u2019re going too far. He might have offered them an autographed picture of himself in the Oval Office.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Ew.<\/p>\n

RUSH: But I don\u2019t think they would actually run the risk of offering money.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, no, he might not have. That doesn\u2019t mean his people didn\u2019t.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, you may have a point. Look, hang on, there\u2019s some more Axelrod bites and you\u2019re on a roll here. I\u2019ll get your reaction to them. I gotta take a commercial time-out. Can you hang on?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Sure.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Fine and dandy.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Now, there has been a development in NY-23. Joe Biden is up there campaigning for the Democrat and has come out against me. ‘Former Vice President Joe Biden –‘ does this say former vice president? It does! This is from CNN. Former Vice President Joe Biden — what? Did they really call him the former? What do they know that we don\u2019t? Anyway, Biden is up there at a rally for Owens and he elicited boos from the crowd when he mentioned Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh, and Dick Armey. ”The idea that Rush Limbaugh would handpick [the] successor is kind of unusual,\u2019 Biden said of the popular conservative radio host who has heavily backed Hoffman over the national party\u2019s choice of Scozzafava. ‘I would have thought the last person I would bring up to the North Country is Dick Armey,\u2019 Biden continued, pointing to the former Texas congressman and current chairman of the conservative group FreedomWorks. ‘He\u2019s a decent guy, but he represents a view so alien it seems to me to the pragmatism to the North Country. Sarah Palin, a former governor — her views are real and consistent with Armey\u2019s and Limbaugh\u2019s and Dick Cheney\u2019s.\u2019 <\/p>\n

”This is a different ideology,\u2019 Biden continued. ‘This is different than anything I\u2019ve known in my 45 years of being familiar with this district. You know, they may not have any room for moderate views in the Republican Party upstate anymore, but let me assure you, we have room.” You can have them, Joe, you can have every damn Republican moderate there is. As an entertainer and the head of the Republican Party, Mr. Former Vice President, according to CNN, I\u2019m going to see to it that every moderate Republican ends up becoming a Democrat and just make it official. You\u2019re granting me all this — yeah, I\u2019ll kick \u2019em out of the party I\u2019ll kick \u2019em out of the inn, damn right no room at our inn. You know, how lucky am I, folks, how lucky am I to be attacked by Joe Biden. I mean former Vice President Joe Biden. That\u2019s about the most unfair fight I can think of. It\u2019s Christmas every day for me. Every morning is Christmas morning. That\u2019s how my life is. <\/p>\n

Joe Biden. I don\u2019t know if people write this stuff for him or if he thinks it up himself, but as for conservatism being absolutism, why don\u2019t you grow up and reacquaint yourself with our Constitution, Mr. Former Vice President? I\u2019ll bet he thinks the Founding Fathers were absolutists. I\u2019ll bet he thinks the American Revolution was unnecessary, that instead the columnists shoulda negotiated some deal with the king. You see, Joe, you seem to think that liberty and private property and capitalism are extremist views. You\u2019ve been in public office since you were in your mid-twenties, you\u2019ve never had to earn an honest living, you\u2019ve never participated in the market system, you don\u2019t understand what makes this nation work, and that\u2019s why you pose a great threat.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I\u2019m going to tell you who the real entertainers are, folks, the real entertainers are the people at the White House. Here you\u2019ve got Axelrod going on TV, and what does he do? He speaks for Obama, he says what Obama means to say, what Obama meant to say, what he thinks, what he wants to do. I mean Axelrod appears to be the puppeteer and Obama appears to be the puppet. You know, we\u2019re watching a marionette show. These are the entertainers, except nobody\u2019s laughing. We\u2019re all crying.<\/p>\n

RUSH: We now have audio of Former Vice President Biden, at least as he was referred to by CNN. He\u2019s up at a rally in Watertown, New York, NY-23, for Bill Owens. By the way, I got a question. They keep calling Dede Scozzafava a moderate Republican. What is it going to take, what is it gonna take for any of these networks to define a candidate as liberal? Are there any liberal Republicans, or are they all moderates and centrists when they trash conservatives and conservatism? For crying out loud, she has endorsed the liberal Democrat. And she was more liberal than the Democrat. There was nothing moderate about Dede Scozzafava. I think when the media looks at Republicans, they automatically, if a Republican is pro-choice, i.e., for abortion, that\u2019s what makes them moderates. Anything else is ignored. Whatever else they do, they can be for tax cuts, oh, but if they are pro-abortion the media loves them and calls them moderates and it\u2019s just infuriating. Dede Scozzafava is as left-wing radical as Obama and his crowd. Moderate Republican. Anyway, here is Biden. He\u2019s on a cheap microphone, it figures, in this rally up there for Owens. We have two sound bites.<\/p>\n

BIDEN: The views that he\u2019s embracing, or at least the views of the people who have embraced him and made him the poster boy for. In fact, imagine him being able to, if he were to win this election, take issue with any position Rush Limbaugh took, or take issue — I\u2019m being serious about this. I\u2019m being deadly honest about it.<\/p>\n

RUSH: What is he saying? Does anybody have any idea what he\u2019s saying? Let me read it here. ‘The views that he\u2019s embracing –‘ he\u2019s talking about Hoffman here ‘– or at least the views of the people who have embraced him and made him the poster boy for. In fact, imagine him being able to, if he were to win this election, take issue with any position Rush Limbaugh took.\u2019 Does that mean disagree with me? When you take issue with somebody, you usually disagree with them. Is that what he means? Or is he trying to say he\u2019s a sycophant of Limbaugh, he\u2019s going to give us what Limbaugh believes? I think that\u2019s what he meant to say but it just didn\u2019t come out right. Or take issue. I\u2019m being serious about — that means he lost his train of thought. He had no idea what he was saying, we had no idea what he was saying. And when that happens to Biden, he always goes with the, ‘I\u2019m serious about this, I\u2019m being deadly serious and honest about it,\u2019 \u2019cause he\u2019s lost his train of thought, has no idea what he\u2019s talking about, just had to get my name out there because he thinks my name will rally pro-Democrat turnout. And he wasn\u2019t finished.<\/p>\n

BIDEN: I like her, I really do. Not a joke, this is not — this is not a cheap shot. The fact of the matter is, Sarah Palin thinks the answer to energy was drill, baby, drill. No. It\u2019s a lot more complicated, Sarah, than drill, baby, drill. What chance do we have? Well, look. Let me quote — let me make this point. I know what these guys are against. I know what Bill\u2019s opponents are against. I know what Rush Limbaugh is against. I know what Dick Armey is against. I know what all these folks are against. I\u2019m not being a wise guy. But I don\u2019t know what they\u2019re for.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Ah, Joe, you know it\u2019s amazing how devoid of any substance these people are. They know exactly what we\u2019re for and they oppose it to the hilt. We are for liberty and freedom, a colorblind society, we are for economic growth, we are for tax cuts, smaller government. He knows exactly what we\u2019re for. And our agenda is based on optimism and good cheer and having a positive, loving attitude about American exceptionalism and all the people who live and work here and make this country work. These people, like Biden and his party, look down on the American people with contempt. They are not happy in their personal lives, they look out over the American landscape and they see nothing but suffering, they see nothing but soup lines, they see nothing but people being malcontents. They don\u2019t see anything uplifting. They\u2019ve created this disaster that is now the United States economy. <\/p>\n

They are stealing from it and incorporating their theft into the private sector. Pelosi\u2019s health care bill is just a giant theft of the private sector via taxation and control. Doesn\u2019t know what we are for? They damn well do know what we are for and they are scared to death of it. Because what we are for, and if we succeed, if we are ever victorious, then it means more and more people are going to be freed from the yoke of control of the Democrat Party, because we are for individual liberty, entrepreneurism, and freedom. We want people to realize their dreams, we want people to have dreams, we want people to exercise their ambition and use whatever talent and effort they want to become who and what they want to be. We don\u2019t want to put anybody down. We don\u2019t want to conclude anybody is incapable of anything. It\u2019s just the exact opposite. The differences could not be more stark. What we are against is precisely what is happening now under the guise of an agenda to rebuild the United States economy. <\/p>\n

RUSH: All right, to the phones, as promised. To Ames, Iowa. Troy, you\u2019re up. I\u2019m glad you waited. Appreciate your patience.<\/p>\n

CALLER: No worries, Rush. Glad, to be on. I\u2019ve tried multiple times to be on the network, and this is definitely my first time on.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I appreciate that.<\/p>\n

CALLER: My question for you is this. I believe that the Democrat Party does really well attacking — not attacking, but influencing my age-group using these entertainers, and I was wondering what the Republican Party can do to start influencing these young voters to get out there and vote Republican?<\/p>\n

<\/a>RUSH: Well, that\u2019s a good question. The Democrat Party, liberalism owns the entertainment culture in this country. I mean you can look at most movies, listen to most songs, particularly in the hip-hop arena, turn on the video music channels and so forth, Saturday Night Live, doesn\u2019t matter, conservatism, Republicans are routinely impugned, laughed at, made fun of, and it even happens in schools, and I would consider schools to be part of the pop culture because clearly people in school are not being educated like you and I were. So what the Republicans can do about it is an interesting thing. It\u2019s a good question. It\u2019s it\u2019s like trying to get hold of education and turn that around, getting hold of the pop culture is going to be something that\u2019s key. What, Snerdley, what? Hmm? Hm-hm. Well, Mr. Snerdley asked a question: How come so many youth listen to me? Because I\u2019m cool. ‘Cause I\u2019m hip. Because it\u2019s a good show. And because they love learning, they love learning. So, we\u2019re doing okay on the youth front on this program. The Republican Party, you know, they\u2019re too busy trying to make sure they save candidates like Dede Scozzafava and so forth. Before the Republican Party can get their arms around the pop culture, they\u2019re going to have to figure out who they are. Appreciate the call, Troy. <\/p>\n

CALLER: Thank you, Rush, for taking my call. Rush, I donated to Joe Wilson. Newt Gingrich sends me e-mails wanting me to donate to the Republican Party. No, thank you, Newt Gingrich, because Newt Gingrich I\u2019m so disappointed in you. You\u2019re not for gay rights, you\u2019re not for higher taxes, you\u2019re not for anything the lady in the 23rd District is for, and yet you came out and supported her. Am I right in disowning Mr. Newt Gingrich, sir?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, that\u2019s a decision for you to make and I think a lot of people are upset. I think Newt got caught flat-footed. He was trying to be a loyal party soldier here, probably didn\u2019t know much about Scozzafava and believed the local party organization up in the district. Because if it was an informed decision it doesn\u2019t make any sense. If it was an informed decision to endorse, it doesn\u2019t — because this woman is the antithesis of what Newt Gingrich stands for, believes in.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Rush, I\u2019m a little bit disappointed in one of the right-wing talk show hosts who has a TV show has never said anything bad about Newt Gingrich on this. I know they\u2019re personal friends, but still, don\u2019t be a phony about it. It\u2019s not good.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, it\u2019s one of the dangers of getting close to people that you comment on. It\u2019s why I don\u2019t go to Washington. I don\u2019t hitch my wagon to politicians. Look, they\u2019ve come and gone in the 21st years, I\u2019m still here. <\/p>\n

CALLER: First time I ever got through, I want to thank you for taking my call again.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I\u2019m worried about the influence that ACORN could have on elections and will the Democrats turn them loose on the elections that are going on tomorrow. The problem with the Republican Party is they gotta get rid of these clubhouse Republicans, these people that believe that they\u2019re better than the people below them, they gotta get after these candidates, maybe have a background check on who here putting up for office.<\/p>\n

RUSH: No, no, no. They know who they\u2019re putting up. Look, they\u2019re putting up people like them. This is why I said the Republican Party needs to be as Ronald Reagan said, retaken. This is no time for third-party movements, it really isn\u2019t. But you mentioned the election fraud. I\u2019ll tell you what, tomorrow is going to be a dry run for Democrat mischief and malfeasance, getting ready for 2010 and 2012. ACORN, SEIU, the New Black Panthers, they get their equivalent of the Super Bowl Tuesday.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Now, Biden, back to old Joe, Joe Biden doesn\u2019t know what I\u2019m for. I want to read something and Obama says he\u2019ll listen to ideas. How many millions of ideas have I thrown out on this radio program? I wrote a Wall Street Journal op-ed on a bipartisan stimulus plan. He\u2019s not listening to anybody else\u2019s ideas. ‘Somebody got a better idea, I\u2019ll listen.\u2019 He\u2019s not listening to anything. He listens only to himself and Rahm Emanuel and Axelrod. But I wrote a piece October 17th, 2005, during the Harriet Miers fiasco when George W. Bush had nominated her for the US Supreme Court and those of us conservatives, ‘No, no, no, this is too important.\u2019 At the time the media, the Democrats, were saying that there was a conservative crack-up going on, we were falling apart, conservatives were not unified because of the Harriet Miers mess. <\/p>\n

So I wrote a piece in the Wall Street Journal and I just want to read the first paragraph to you: ‘I love being a conservative. We conservatives are proud of our philosophy. Unlike our liberal friends, who are constantly looking for new words to conceal their true beliefs and are in a perpetual state of reinvention, we conservatives are unapologetic about our ideals. We are confident in our principles and energetic about openly advancing them. We believe in individual liberty, limited government, capitalism, the rule of law, faith, a color-blind society and national security. We support school choice, enterprise zones, tax cuts, welfare reform, faith-based initiatives, political speech, homeowner rights and the war on terrorism. And at our core we embrace and celebrate the most magnificent governing document ever ratified by any nation–the US Constitution. Along with the Declaration of Independence, which recognizes our God-given natural right to be free, it is the foundation on which our government is built and has enabled us to flourish as a people.\u2019<\/p>\n

Secretary, vice president, former Vice President Biden says he doesn\u2019t know what we\u2019re for. He knows exactly what we\u2019re for. Scares him to death. I\u2019m not going to read the whole piece to you. We\u2019ll put it back up at RushLimbaugh.com. <\/p>\n

CALLER: I just want to say I\u2019m honored. I was a member of your audience back in your New York TV show in 1993. Loved your show then, still love you now. Two things serious, and then one good news. The serious. I woke up the other morning to that picture op of the caskets returning home and Obama saluting them.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yep.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Why didn\u2019t anyone in the media come out — with Bush it was how many casualties, number by number, day by day. The blood of those soldiers are on his hands for not sending troops for over 60 days. I\u2019m not a war person, but he didn\u2019t give them any help and the blood is on his hands and the media should come out to say so.<\/p>\n

RUSH: It\u2019s not going to happen. I understand your anger, but it\u2019s not going to happen.<\/p>\n

CALLER: My other thing is, good news, and your name gets all around, as far as someone calling in about the Republicans for the youth, what can they do, my son is a junior in high school and his advanced history teacher, his first day, said, ‘I make Rush Limbaugh look like a bleeding heart liberal.\u2019<\/p>\n

RUSH: (laughing) I love it. I love it when people say that to me, that means we\u2019re making progress out there.<\/p>\n

CALLER: So that means there are teachers out there that are teaching the right thing and guarding our children. Rush I love you so much and Wednesday is my 20th wedding anniversary, my husband Tom, and I tell him all the time that you\u2019re the only man that I would leave him for.<\/p>\n

RUSH: (laughing) How did he feel about that?<\/p>\n

CALLER: He\u2019s like, ‘How wonderful Christine, thanks a lot.\u2019<\/p>\n

RUSH: (laughing) <\/p>\n

CALLER: Although he does say — \u2019cause I say I watch Fox News and, he goes, ‘I heard everything from Rush,\u2019 because sometimes I can\u2019t hear you, and he goes, ‘He told me everything, we had our meeting on the mountain, he gets all the information from you.\u2019 Keep up the good work, Rush. I love you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Weekly Standard is reporting on its blog that this rally where Biden spoke, the place was only 65% full. Watertown is a town with a population of 30,000 people. The Biden event for Owens up there was open to the public. Nobody needed a ticket to get in. Two hundred and fifty people showed up, 50 of them with the media. So 200 non-media showed up for the Biden rally, which was only about 65% full. I don\u2019t think there\u2019s a whole lot of momentum up there, the vice president is sure not pulling \u2019em out and rallying the troops up there. Sixty-five percent full, 250 people, and 50 of them are the media? Here\u2019s Alan in Rockland, New York, great to have you on the EIB Network, sir. Hello.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Rush, it\u2019s a pleasure to speak with you and I just want to tell you: I am absolutely honored to be speaking with the bravest nonmilitary man in the United States.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Gee, thank you. Thank you very much.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Rush, I\u2019m trying to be brave myself, and I want to ask an important question. When is the media going to ask this question? Is Rahm Emanuel running our country, or is it President Obama? ‘Cause he\u2019s always out playing golf. He\u2019s always out at a concert or at a rally with the troops being in harm\u2019s way. Rahm Emanuel, who has been working with Freddie Mac, we\u2019re not allowed to see the board meeting minutes. I mean, he mails dead fish to opponents. When will we find out who this guy is, Rahm Emanuel, and is he running our country — and why is he so close to the president, Rush? Someone who is absolutely unstable. I mean, if you mail dead fish to somebody you\u2019d never become a cop or a teacher or a fireman. What\u2019s going on here? Why can\u2019t we find out the board meetings?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Let me explain something to you. I don\u2019t know how… (sigh) I\u2019m not frustrated. I\u2019m not mad. Please don\u2019t take this personally. But I don\u2019t know how many times I\u2019m going to have to say, ‘If you are going to wait for the media to treat them like they treat us, you are forever… You\u2019re going to die dissatisfied. ‘Cause it\u2019s never going to happen.\u2019 Why won\u2019t the media tell us about Rahm Emanuel and if it\u2019s really running the country? They don\u2019t care. In fact, if they know that he\u2019s running the country they\u2019re in on the secret. They\u2019re not going to blow it for these guys. But there\u2019s another aspect to your question that I want to address, too. Don\u2019t believe for a moment that Obama does not have his sleeves rolled up and is in charge of all of this. These people are a team. It\u2019s Chicago. This is Chicago thug politics. Mayor Daley… If anybody\u2019s running this show, it is Mayor Daley. You got Rahm Emanuel; you\u2019ve got Axelrod. They\u2019re all out of Chicago. You have Obama out of Chicago. This is Chicago machine politics brought to the national level. And they all think the same way. They all have the same agenda. It\u2019s not that Obama is an empty suit and these guys are out there as Karl Rove was said to be, the genius behind George W. Bush. He\u2019s in on it. He\u2019s in on it. He has said as much. Read what he has written. Listen to what he has said in previous media appearances over the course of his life. This is exactly what he intended to do if he ever got elected, and he\u2019s brought along people who agree with him and are along for the ride helping him get where he wants to go.<\/p>\n
