Hello, sir.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Hello, El Rushbo, mmm, mmm, mmm.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Yeah, I love that.<\/p>\n<p>REPORTER: Listen, two days ago, and I only heard this once, ABC reported that President Obama did a midnight run to Dover airfield base. My first question to you is I\u2019ve never heard of any other president doing that, and why would he go out to view the dead coming back from Afghanistan? I mean this seems like some kind of, look at me, I\u2019m the president, you see how sorry I feel for our dead soldiers returning, but I\u2019m only going to send half of what General McChrystal originally requested because I really don\u2019t give a hoot. I mean, what kind of sick mind does this? To me, it\u2019s a publicity ploy that he was warned off of the last moment, you better not make too much light of this because you\u2019re going to look like a hypocrite, \u2019cause that\u2019s what he looks like.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: You asked what kind of sick mind &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: &#8212; Marxist mind, perhaps fascist mind, but you\u2019re right. Look, the White House is busy, they\u2019re playing defense. They\u2019re responding to things, and the criticism of his dithering in Afghanistan by Vice President Cheney and a number of others made him very sensitive. He doesn\u2019t care about it, you\u2019re exactly right. Obviously he now has a problem with his own strategy that he implemented in March and he doesn\u2019t know what to do about it because he really doesn\u2019t care about winning over there but he\u2019s commander-in-chief. If he\u2019s going to pull off the rest of his agenda he\u2019s gotta make as many people believe that he is as traditional a president as anybody else. So as a Democrat he already has the image as weak on defense, he already is on record as having sought defeat in Iraq, but now he\u2019s the president. So he goes to Dover at 12:45 a.m., he\u2019s there until 4:45 a.m. One family granted him permission to be there and for photos to be taken of the remains of their family member <img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/01125110.Par.89380.ImageFile.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"160\" class=\"alignright\"\/>being brought off the airplane, one family. The others did not. It was a pure photo-op to try to get the picture: Obama cares about troops, period, that\u2019s all it was. Now, Liz Cheney was asked about this yesterday on radio by John Gibson at Fox News radio. He said, &#8216;Seventeen of the 18 families of the fallen denied Obama his photo-op at Dover,\u2019 and here\u2019s what Liz Cheney said.<\/p>\n<p>LIZ CHENEY: I don\u2019t know why he went to Dover. I think that clearly it is very important for a commander-in-chief whenever he can, in whatever way possible, to pay tribute to our fallen soldiers, our fallen military, folks, but I think, you know, what President Bush used to do was to do it without cameras, and I don\u2019t understand sort of showing up with the White House press pool with photographers and asking family members if he can take pictures. I mean, that\u2019s really hard for me to get my head around. I think it\u2019s an honorable and important thing to pay tribute, there\u2019s no greater sacrifice people make to the nation. It was a surprising way for the president to choose to do it. I would also point out that the best way to pay tribute to those who have sacrificed is to win the war.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Amen. That\u2019s Liz Cheney yesterday on the syndicated Fox News radio John Gibson show. President Bush used to do it, did you know that? You didn\u2019t know it? She just told us something we didn\u2019t know. Bush used to do it but there were no cameras, he did it privately with the families. Look, folks, you gotta understand, leftists are propagandists, they live by photo-op and so forth.
