RUSH: Yesterday in Memphis they had an event celebrating (I think) the 14th anniversary of the Million Man March and Minister Farrakhan made a surprising appearance at the Memphis Cook Convention Center. He called prostate cancer a conspiracy to kill black men. Farrakhan, saying he would give more details in a speech today, called it, ‘No accident,\u2019 that the cancer is more prevalent in the black community. Farrakhan, a three-time survivor of prostate cancer, spoke during a health panel about the cancer as part of a three-day event to commemorate the Million Man March in 1995. Although Farrakhan didn\u2019t say who was behind the conspiracy, he did call out pharmaceutical companies for profiteering off of African-American sicknesses. ‘After you take a pill to fix this, you have to take a pill to fix that,\u2019 he said. ‘Who\u2019s getting rich off of us getting sick?” Well, we thought, you know, we, too, would participate. If they\u2019re gonna go back and have an event in Memphis to remember the Million Man March 14 years ago, we shall, too. We\u2019ll go back and remember the Million Man March. Let\u2019s review that day. This is audio from my television show. You\u2019ll hear laughter in the background. That\u2019s the studio audience.<\/p>\n

FARRAKHAN: This can pacify you and lull you to sleep in a dangerous time, making you to think that we live in a post-racial America when the opposite is true.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You know, I forgot to enter that bite, ‘my bad,\u2019 but that is true. That\u2019s what he said in addition to saying that there is a conspiracy out there that is resulting in prostate cancer occurring more in black men than in any other group. But, you know, this is one of the things that I predicted all the way back on February 22, 2000. In fact, grab that bite. Let\u2019s just go ahead… Well, we\u2019ve played it enough. I don\u2019t need to replay it. We\u2019ve overdone it. But you know back in February a number of times, 2008 — not this year, 2008 — you know, six months, nine months, whatever it was prior to the election, you know, people were calling here, ‘Rush, don\u2019t you think it would be a good thing if President Obama is elected because it would put racism behind us?\u2019 I said, ‘No, no, no, only going to get worse,\u2019 and the point of playing Minister Farrakhan here is to indicate that I was right. It\u2019s not a post-racial America. ‘This can pacify you, lull you to sleep in a dangerous time making you think we live in a post-racial America when the opposite is true.\u2019 So Minister Farrakhan is agreeing with me. Now, here\u2019s the Million Man March sound bite from October 16th of 1995.<\/p>\n

FARRAKHAN: In the background is the Jefferson and Lincoln Memorial. Each one of these monuments is 19 feet high. Abraham Lincoln, the 16th president; Thomas Jefferson, the third president. And 16 and three make 19 again! <\/p>\n

RUSH AUDIENCE: (laughter)<\/p>\n

FARRAKHAN: What is so deep about this number, 19? Why are we standing on the capitol steps today? That number 19, when you have a nine, you have a woman that is pregnant; and when you have a one standing by the nine, it means that there\u2019s something secret that has to be unfolded. Abraham Lincoln\u2019s statue: 19 feet high, 19 feet wide! Jefferson: 19 feet high, 16th and the third president, 19; standing on the steps of the Capitol in the light of the sun, offering life to a people who are dead!<\/p>\n

RUSH: So we, too, celebrate by remembering the Million Man March. That was back on October 16th, 1995, the Million Man March. Rarely has our population been graced with such eloquence and some clarity. It doesn\u2019t happen much, folks, and when it does happen it\u2019s well worth us all getting together and listening to it again so that you may benefit from this insight that we otherwise would not have the ability to perceive ourselves.
