CALLER: Nice to talk to you, Rush.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Thank you.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I\u2019ve been sitting here with my husband and listening about this ACORN for over a week now, and we\u2019re absolutely flabbergasted why nobody has played the clip of Obama straight out endorsing it. When he passed the stimulus package —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Wait, people have.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I haven\u2019t heard it anywhere. When he passed the stimulus package he jumped in and made fantastic statements about what a wonderful organization it was and how as the American people we needed to get together, back the organization, and fund it.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh, well, now, that\u2019s a different one than I have. I have him from the campaign saying ACORN is going to be deeply involved in his transition, shaping the agenda of his presidency.<\/p>\n

CALLER: And after he was elected, he passed a stimulus package, and in that speech, he absolutely endorsed them fully, what a wonderful, fantastic organization and we the American people need to get behind them, and I mean just all over himself. My husband and I stood there with our jaws hitting the ground that he even mentioned their name.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I\u2019ll check it. It doesn\u2019t leap out from my memory. Do you remember it, Dawn? We\u2019ll find it. If it\u2019s out there, then it is there to be found. I\u2019m sure you\u2019ll find, Sharon, this next one is incredible. George Stephanopoulos interviewing Obama, and he said, ‘Congress said they should cut off all funding for ACORN. Are you for that?\u2019<\/p>\n

OBAMA: You know, it\u2019s — frankly it\u2019s not really something I\u2019ve followed closely. I didn\u2019t even know that ACORN was getting, uh, uh, a whole lot of federal money.<\/p>\n

STEPHANOPOULOS: But the Senate and the House have voted to cut it off.<\/p>\n

OBAMA: Yeah, what I know is what I saw on that video was certainly inappropriate, and deserves to be —<\/p>\n

STEPHANOPOULOS: So you\u2019re not committing to cut off the federal funding?<\/p>\n

OBAMA: George, this is not the biggest issue facing the country. It\u2019s not something I\u2019m paying a lot of attention to.<\/p>\n

RUSH: BS. I just don\u2019t believe that. It\u2019s not something I\u2019m paying a lot of attention to. It\u2019s not the biggest issue facing the country. That\u2019s what the media is saying, ‘Ah, Van Jones, ACORN, that doesn\u2019t rank, it\u2019s not that big a deal.\u2019 So of course he knows that ACORN has been defunded. Of course he knows what ACORN is doing. He is ACORN. Barack Obama is ACORN. Here, let\u2019s go back to the sound bite I referenced. December 1st, 2007, in Des Moines at the Heartland Democrat Forum, Obama took questions from the moderator of Radio One and TV One, Catherine Hughes, and she said, ‘If elected president, would you, in your first 100 days, meet with a delegation of representatives from the various community organizations, the Campaign for Community Values, could they count on you in your first 100 days to sit down with them?\u2019<\/p>\n

OBAMA: Let me say before I even get inaugurated, during the transition we\u2019re going to be calling all of you in to help us shape the agenda. We\u2019re going to be having meetings all across the country with community organizations so that you have input into the agenda for the next presidency of the United States of America.<\/p>\n

RUSH: There you have it. So there is Obama himself telling ACORN and the community people, ‘You\u2019re going to be shaping the agenda.\u2019 The idea he doesn\u2019t know what\u2019s going on with them or what they\u2019re doing or the House voted to defund them even though it\u2019s a trick, I mean that is a bold-faced, out-and-out lie. Can you imagine if Bush had gone on a series of Sunday shows and answered that question and said that over and over again, ‘Oh, okay, you didn\u2019t know? Oh, fine, not a big deal, okay, fine, Mr. President.\u2019 You know, asking Obama about ACORN and what they\u2019re doing and him saying, ‘I really don\u2019t know,\u2019 is like asking Bush about Iraq and Bush saying, ‘I\u2019m not really following what\u2019s happening in Iraq.\u2019 It\u2019s pretty much like that. Obama is ACORN. I don\u2019t know, George, not that important to me, haven\u2019t been following, I don\u2019t really care about ACORN. <\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: Bernadette in East Akron, Ohio. Welcome to the EIB Network. Hello.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hi, Rush. It\u2019s a thrill to talk to you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I can imagine. Thank you.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah. And I want tell you, Rush is one of my all-time favorite names.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well. (laughing) Thank you, Bernadette.<\/p>\n

CALLER: If I had another baby I\u2019d name him Rush. I called to tell you about how my husband and I unwittingly took part in an ACORN project earlier this year.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Are you certain you want to admit this to a national radio audience?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I didn\u2019t know it until afterwards.<\/p>\n

RUSH: That\u2019s what they all say, you\u2019re just calling here, you want some absolution.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah, I guess so.<\/p>\n

RUSH: All right, tell us the story.<\/p>\n

CALLER: We hosted a student teacher from France for two months who was doing an experience in the Akron schools. And a bunch of students — <\/p>\n

RUSH: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. A student teacher doing an experience?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah. Yeah. Going into an Akron school and teaching for two months in his field.<\/p>\n

RUSH: What was the title of the course, Surrender 101?<\/p>\n

CALLER: No. We had two teachers at my school. One was teaching physics and the other phys ed. And we had the one that taught phys ed. And he was a lovely guy, we liked him and we liked the experience, but when it was all over we got the evaluation form and found out that it was an ACORN project. And I was shocked, because I thought ACORN was doing things for poor people.<\/p>\n

RUSH: What do you think people in the public school systems are? We gotta import gym teachers from France?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, actually this one was at a Catholic school.<\/p>\n

RUSH: ACORN had its mitts in a Catholic school?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Whoa.<\/p>\n

CALLER: He didn\u2019t know it was ACORN; I didn\u2019t know it was ACORN. But we sent a bunch of teachers over to France, too, and it\u2019s all under the auspices of ACORN. I was shocked.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I know, they\u2019re insidious, they\u2019re everywhere. They are like a virus.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes.<\/p>\n

RUSH: They\u2019re like cockroaches, I\u2019m telling you. We could destroy the country and ACORN would still be around somehow.<\/p>\n

CALLER: And I wonder how they got this program under ACORN. It\u2019s not for poor people.<\/p>\n

RUSH: No. No, ACORN is not for poor people. That\u2019s just a cover, that\u2019s so nobody will oppose it. ACORN is for chaos.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, my. Now I\u2019m wondering if we\u2019re going to — this program has been in for a couple years. This is the first time —<\/p>\n

RUSH: I\u2019ll betcha that gym teacher was actually a pimp.<\/p>\n

CALLER: (laughing.)<\/p>\n

RUSH: And the gym teacher stuff was just a cover.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, the girls were in love with him.<\/p>\n

RUSH: See? See?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah. <\/p>\n

RUSH: I mean seriously, I\u2019m all for exchange programs, I mean yip yip yip yahoo.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I know.<\/p>\n

RUSH: But a gym teacher?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Uh-huh.<\/p>\n

RUSH: From France?<\/p>\n

CALLER: There were three of those that came over. Most of them were science or, gosh, I don\u2019t know —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay.<\/p>\n

CALLER: — what else they taught.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Maybe they can teach us how to spell ‘pasteurize.\u2019 Good deal.<\/p>\n

CALLER: But I\u2019m wondering whether I should take part in this another year?<\/p>\n

RUSH: That\u2019s up to you.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I need your permission.<\/p>\n

RUSH: If ACORN is involved I\u2019d stay away from it.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Ohhhh.<\/p>\n

RUSH: There\u2019s something going on other than what appears to be going on.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I have to find out. I have to find out and investigate more.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Good luck. <\/p>\n

CALLER: I\u2019ll call and let you know.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Do that. I appreciate that, Bernadette.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, it\u2019s so nice to talk to you. <\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, thank you, thanks very much.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Hm-hm.<\/p>\n

CALLER: A couple weeks ago in the Wall Street Journal, Bill McGurn reported that Gibbs, Mr. Obama\u2019s spokesperson, said before the Washington press corps that Mr. Obama would be more than happy to serve only one term if he could get his health care reform passed. And I have not heard any reporting on this at all. I think if the American people heard this, it would be just the icing on the cake.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Wait a second. I think I remember playing the sound bite that Gibbs said that.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Is that right? <\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, and the way he said it he didn\u2019t really mean it, it was just a way in which they were trying to say how serious Obama is about this.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah. Yeah. You\u2019re probably right. But like I say, the way that Bill McGurn reported it in the Journal —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah?<\/p>\n

CALLER: — was very, very clear.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, he could be right, I may be imagining hearing it. I think I\u2019ve heard Gibbs say everything.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I\u2019m sure you have. I know I have. So anyway I wanted to get it out there, again, I appreciate you taking the call because I haven\u2019t heard anybody report it and maybe I missed it on your show.<\/p>\n

RUSH: People, ‘Ooh, wow, only one term,\u2019 what are we supposed to do, let him have it so we get rid of him? What was your take on it?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, again my take, I have only read it in the Journal in this one article, and it just shocked me that it has not gotten out and that nobody is understanding that Obama\u2019s zealotry is that radical.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I think they do. I think Obama is losing support, the independents are going, I think they do. Look, the polling data is all in our favor on this. That doesn\u2019t mean anything right now. They gotta keep it up, they\u2019re going to try and ramrod it. Boehner, by the way, John Boehner said health care is dead, dead in the House.
