RUSH: From The Politico: ‘Study: Women Lawmakers Best Men.\u2019 And guess who it\u2019s written by? A chick, Erika Lovley. It\u2019s written by a woman named Erika Lovley. ‘Are women more effective lawmakers than men? That\u2019s the preliminary conclusion of a study conducted by researchers at Stanford University and the University of Chicago, who say that on average, women in Congress introduce more bills, attract more co-sponsors and bring home more money for their districts than their male counterparts do.\u2019 That\u2019s the measure of success? They do more bills? More bills equal less freedom. They attract more cosponsors? We all know what\u2019s going on there. Come on, folks, let\u2019s be adults about this. They attract more cosponsors? Ha. They bring home more money for their districts than their male counterparts do? <\/p>\n

‘The study, which examined the performance of House members between 1984 and 2004, found that women delivered roughly 9 percent more discretionary spending for their districts than men.\u2019 Well, duh! Duh! Anybody want to argue that? Look, I know I\u2019m getting knee-deep in it here, but anybody want to argue with the spending potential of women? And this is being labeled as a measure of success. This is why women legislators are better than men? By the way, the men are no slouches when it comes to spending up there. They\u2019re all spending money that they never have, they never have earned, it\u2019s all ours, and then what they don\u2019t have they print. And this is how we\u2019re judging the effectiveness? In the meantime they come up with this list of inane, childish little things that you can and can\u2019t say on the floor of the House of Representatives about other members and about the president. Here\u2019s an example. ‘Representative Judy Biggert\u2019s first two-year term, Illinois\u2019s 13th District received $382 million in federal funds, $70 million more than it received during the final term of her predecessor, Rep. Harris Fawell.\u2019 ‘Study: Women Lawmakers Best Men.\u2019 Yeah, we\u2019re upside down here, the way we measure success, the way we measure what\u2019s a good job.
