Scott Screams at Doctor"},"content":{"rendered":"<section>\n<p>RUSH: In Atlanta last week town hall meeting constituent urologist Dr. Brian Hill asked Representative David Scott of Georgia, &#8216;Why are you voting for a health plan that\u2019s shown not to work in Massachusetts, and why are you going to institute that in a statewide, nationwide manner?\u2019<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/hotair.com\/archives\/2009\/08\/07\/video-democrat-screams-at-constituent-for-asking-tough-question-on-health-care\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/01125115.Par.89380.ImageFile.jpg\" width=\"318\" height=\"186\" class=\"alignright\"\/><\/a>SCOTT: I haven\u2019t voted on any bill.<\/p>\n<p>DR. HILL: Are you planning on voting on that bill?<\/p>\n<p>SCOTT: I don\u2019t know.<\/p>\n<p>DR. HILL: That\u2019s an easy-out response. <\/p>\n<p>CROWD: (groans) <\/p>\n<p>DR. HILL: Do you support a government-run option? How about that?<\/p>\n<p>SCOTT: Yes, I do. And I\u2019m listening to MY constituents, okay? These are people who live in the 13th Congressional District, who vote in this district. That\u2019s who I\u2019ve got to respond to, okay? <\/p>\n<p>DR. HILL: That\u2019s me.<\/p>\n<p>SCOTT: (screaming) This is not a health care event! You\u2019ve made the choice to come here! Not a single one of you had the decency to call my office and set up for a meeting, okay? Then do that. Do that! But don\u2019t, don\u2019t come and take advantage of what these individuals have done! You want a meeting with me on health care, I\u2019ll give it to you!<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: All right, so that\u2019s the congressman, David Scott, screaming at a doctor in a town hall meeting. It turns out the doctor\u2019s not a Republican. He\u2019s an independent. He\u2019s concerned, and he was treated like dirt by his congressman.<\/p>\n<p>DR. HILL: I did not go to a meeting to create any problems. I went to the meeting to literally ask a question that I thought was very, very important for my patients. I\u2019ve asked, &#8216;Is he going to be having health care forums? Is he going to have an area where we can actually address his thoughts and express our ideas and our thoughts as well?\u2019 and I was told no, and that\u2019s why I said to myself, &#8216;I then need to go to an area where a where we we\u2019ve got access to him. We depend on our congressmen to really do what\u2019s right for us and I just really don\u2019t see that happening.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: It\u2019s happening all over the country. People are not taking it. When a congressman starts yelling at you for being impunity and a snob and being disrespectful that\u2019s when you say, &#8216;Why don\u2019t you just get on your jet and fly home then fly back to Washington? We don\u2019t need you here.\u2019 By the way, Nancy Pelosi and Steny Hoyer have an op-ed in USA Today today.
