Our esteemed president is in Guadalajara, Mexico. He\u2019s down there with the prime minister of Canada and the president of Mexico, Felipe <img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/01125110.Par.89380.ImageFile.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"250\" class=\"alignright\"\/>Calderon, and they\u2019re having a news conference to discuss the efforts made by all three nations to get our arms around global warming and climate change and stop it. A reporter said to President Obama, &#8216;President Obama, health care has been an issue of tremendous debate in your country and Canadians have looked on with fascination as our health care system has become a political football in your country. Are there any elements of the Canadian health care system that are worth emulating in the United States?\u2019 Now, listen to this.<\/p>\n<p>OBAMA: We are having a vigorous debate in the United States, and I think that\u2019s a healthy thing. I\u2019ve said that the &#8212; the Canadian model works for Canada, it would not work for the United States, in part simply because we\u2019ve evolved differently. I suspect that you Canadians will continue to get dragged in by, uh, those who oppose reform, even though I\u2019ve said nothing about Canadian health care reform. Uh, I don\u2019t find Canadians particularly scary, but, I guess, uhh&#8230; (pauses)<\/p>\n<p>REPORTERS: (silence)<\/p>\n<p>OBAMA: Some of the opponents of, uh, (nervous laugh) reform think that they make a good bogeyman. Uh, I think that\u2019s a mistake.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: I think what just happened here is that the president apologized to Canada for opponents of his health care slandering their health care. Is that what we just heard? We did just hear this, my friends. The president of the United States just apologized to Canada for you and all the rest of us who don\u2019t like his health care system \u2019cause it\u2019s too similar to Canada\u2019s.
