RUSH: Start at number six, Mister Broadcast Engineer. This morning in Virginia, at George Mason University, President Obama speaking about the implementation of the new GI bill. Here\u2019s a portion of what he said.<\/p>\n

OBAMA (sped up): We\u2019ve lived through an age when many people and institutions acted irresponsibly, when service often took a backseat, when hard choices were put aside for some other time. The men and women who have served since 9\/11 tell us a different story. While so many were reaching for the quick buck, they were heading out on patrol.<\/line><\/line>RUSH: Barack Obama, once again, criticizing his own country. America has been irresponsible! We\u2019ve lived through the age when many people in the institutions acted irresponsibly. They went for profit! He\u2019s getting \u2019em now. He\u2019s getting even with them now. Let\u2019s go back in time to March of 2007 at the Service Employees International Union health care forum, President Obama.<\/line><\/p>\n

OBAMA MARCH 2007 (normal speed): My commitment is to make sure that we\u2019ve got universal health care for all Americans by the end of my first term as president. I would hope that we can set up a system that allows those who can go through their employer to access a federal system or a state pool of some sort, but I don\u2019t think we\u2019re going to be able to eliminate employer coverage immediately. There\u2019s going to be potentially some transition process. I can envision a decade out or 15 years out or 20 years out.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Now, this is 2007. He\u2019s just explained how his plan will eliminate private insurance through your employer and that that\u2019s his objective. He\u2019s out lying about this when he says, ‘If you like your coverage now, you\u2019ll be able to keep it. No problem! We just think there should be another entity competing so that that insurance company won\u2019t rip you off.\u2019 Well, there won\u2019t be any competition because the government doesn\u2019t have to make a profit in their insurance program. Universal health care. ‘My commitment is make sure we\u2019ve got universal health care for all Americans by the end of my first term.\u2019 That\u2019s why the hurry. Let\u2019s go back to 2003. This is an AFL-CIO conference while Obama campaigns for the Senate.<\/p>\n

OBAMA 2003 (normal speed): I happen to be a proponent of single-payer, universal health care plan. (applause) Single-payer health care plan, universal health care plan. That\u2019s what I\u2019d like to see.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Running for the Senate in 2003: single payer universal health care coverage. Well, now, he\u2019s president of the United States, and he has a piece of legislation in the House of Representatives that will guarantee him just that, and they\u2019re working on one in the Senate. But let\u2019s come back. Let\u2019s go to June 15th of this year. As president, Obama went to the AMA (the American Medical Association) and lied to them. He told us what his plan is in 2007, 2003. You just heard it. Universal, single-payer health care. Get rid of employer insurance. It may take 15 years to do it but I want to get it done. This is what he told the AMA back in June.<\/p>\n

OBAMA (normal speed): The public option is not your enemy; it is your friend, I believe. L-l-let me — Let me also, uh, address a illegitimate concern that\u2019s being put forward by those who are claiming that a public option is somehow a Trojan horse for a single-payer system.<\/p>\n

RUSH: It most certainly is a Trojan horse for the single-payer system. Now, here\u2019s your question. This is your dilemma. Do you want to believe Obama? In which case you\u2019re sunk, you\u2019re screwed. Which Obama do you believe? Do you believe the two Obamas from 2003, 2007, where he talks to his supporters, his voters, union people: can\u2019t wait for a single-payer system — he wants to get rid of employer health plans, universal coverage — or do you want to believe Obama as president in trouble back at the AMA saying, ‘No, no, no! The public option is not a Trojan horse.\u2019 Which Obama do you want to believe? ‘Cause if you believe Obama, you\u2019re sunk. How do you choose which Obama to believe? <\/p>\n

Here\u2019s what you do: Believe me. I\u2019m not lying to you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Lee in Villa Rica, California. Nice to have you. Is that how you pronounce that Villa Rica, California?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Villa Rica.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Ah, I got it. That\u2019s why I\u2019m a highly trained broadcast specialist. I know how to pronounce things I\u2019ve never seen before. How are you?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Fiiiine.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Good. <\/p>\n

CALLER: (silence)<\/p>\n

RUSH: We\u2019re on the air. <\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh!<\/p>\n

RUSH: It\u2019s a big show biz break. Yeah.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, hello, Rush. Ahem. I\u2019m very concerned that with all the attention being given to the health care fiasco in the last few weeks, that the other bills that are going to be just as harmful are totally beneath the radar right now. The cap and tax and the union votes and I\u2019m afraid we\u2019re going to wake up some morning and find in the dead of night that they passed both things because people seem to have kind of forgotten about them for a while.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You are very shrewd, Lee. In fact, on Friday, on this very program, it might have been Thursday last week, we reported something that hadn\u2019t been anywhere else, TheHill.com reported that Harry Reid was in fact working on sneaking card check into their health care bill. Cap and trade, that will come later, but you\u2019re right. They\u2019re going to do all kinds of parliamentary tricks to get this done if they can\u2019t do it on legitimate votes, things like reconciliation or piecemeal. But they know they\u2019ve gotta force it down our throats.<\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: Grass Lake, Michigan, this is Ann. It\u2019s great to have you on the program. Hi.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you Mr. Rush for taking precious time out of your day to answer my question! Oh, my God! I\u2019m so indebted to you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, thank you very much. <\/p>\n

CALLER: (laughing)<\/p>\n

RUSH: I hope this ends up being worth it.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, but seriously, Rush. I have been e-mailing Carl Levin; Debbie Stab-Me-Now; Mark Schauer, our congressman; talking about the health care and telling them I didn\u2019t feel that their families were any more important or precious to them than mine is to me and asked them if they would have the same health care that we would have. I never get an answer, never get a response, just a form letter. That\u2019s all I ever got from them is a form letter.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Are you surprised?<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, I\u2019m not surprised. In fact Mark Schauer, who is our congressman here in Jackson, Michigan — <\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah?<\/p>\n

CALLER: — the Citizen Patriot put a full-page ad thanking him for voting ‘yes\u2019 on cap and trade and saying that it has created jobs in Michigan. I took that full age ad, with a marker: ‘15.5% unemployment in Michigan. Mr. Schauer, I would like to meet with you personally, but I doubt you have the nerve to speak to anyone who disagrees with you,\u2019 and sent it to him in the mail and haven\u2019t heard a thing.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You know, this is kind of getting offensive. They talk about all these jobs they\u2019re ‘creating,\u2019 and they\u2019re losing 500,000 a month.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I know. It\u2019s terrible. Michigan, of course, I think is the worse in the country.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah and who\u2019s been running that for a little while?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah. Yeah.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, Stab-Me-Now, Levin, Granholm, and the rest of them, and it\u2019s so tiring, Rush. You know, you call them. I called them so many times. You can\u2019t get through them on the phone. And if you e-mail them, you get a form letter back. They just skate all around any concerns that you have telling you that they\u2019re doing all they can.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Let me tell you something, Ann. What you\u2019re experiencing here is proof positive they know you want no part of this, they don\u2019t care. They know. They can read the polls. They can measure the response coming into their offices. They know you don\u2019t want it. They know a majority of people have no desire for this. That doesn\u2019t matter. Therefore we must ask ourselves: Why are they doing it? Why are they so hell-bent on all of this that nobody wants? Cap and trade is based on a hoax: manmade global warming. The card check is based on destroying small business and bringing unions back to life as a sop to them because of their big support for Obama. Single-payer, universal health care is about government controlling virtually every aspect of your behavior. <\/line><\/line>They\u2019re going to have access to your digitized medical records. They\u2019re going to have access to your computer. This is frightening what is being contemplated here. I saw the other day Hugo Chavez — did you see this, Snerdley? Hugo Chavez just shut down 34 radio stations, and I\u2019m thinking, ‘Obama is looking at that and saying, ‘Damn! Someday, someday,” and Raul Castro in Cuba is saying, ‘Obama? Yeah, the United States is ‘less aggressive\u2019 under Obama, but I was elected to improve and perfect the socialist system.\u2019 What did I say about Cuba last week? They\u2019ve cut off everything. The country is falling apart even worse than it was. It doesn\u2019t work. So the question you need to ask yourself, folks, is: If they know you don\u2019t want any of this, why are they doing it? It\u2019s a very, very, very important question.<\/line><\/p>\n

As we played for you the sound bites earlier from 2003 and 2007, Obama, as a candidate, telling two different union audiences that his intention is to go single-payer, universal health care and to eliminate employer-provided insurance, health care benefits. And then we have Obama from this summer saying, ‘No, no, no! If you like your plan, you can keep it.\u2019 The question you have to ask yourself is: Which Obama are you gonna believe? It\u2019s up to you. But you can\u2019t just say rebuke are you gonna believe Obama, because there are a bunch of different Obamas that you gotta choose from to believe. The answer is you don\u2019t believe Obama, you believe me, because I am not lying to you. <\/p>\n

You believe and trust your own instincts, too. Your own instincts are telling you loud and clear that all of this is no good and it\u2019s not for anybody\u2019s benefit outside of Washington, DC, or a state capital or two. Your instincts. Listen to your instincts. I mentioned earlier in the program there\u2019s a poster (you can see it at Drudge) that somebody that does not like Obama has created in Los Angeles. They\u2019re posters of Obama made up as the Joker, Heath Ledger\u2019s Joker in the latest Batman movie with the word ‘socialism\u2019 underneath it. It\u2019s becoming cool… It\u2019s not quite there yet, but it\u2019s becoming cool to make fun of Obama. Some of the late-night shows are now starting to make fun of Obama. <\/p>\n

It\u2019s becoming cool to not like Obama — and when that starts happening, when it starts becoming cool to stop trusting Obama and so forth, that\u2019s the tipping point. But he doesn\u2019t care. Well, that\u2019s the wrong thing to say. He wants to be universally loved. He always has been his whole life. I don\u2019t think he reacts well to criticism and so forth. But whatever you want regarding his health care, the more you don\u2019t want it the more it\u2019s going to be rammed down your throat. The more you don\u2019t want it, the more insistent they\u2019re going to try to make you take it. ‘Cause the bottom line is, it isn\u2019t about you. So you\u2019ve got Obama all over the ballpark saying every possible thing about the health care plan. If you want to believe Obama, you\u2019ve got a problem: Which one? <\/p>\n

Robert, State College, Pennsylvania, you\u2019re next on the Rush Limbaugh program. Hi.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hello, Rush. We appreciate you, and it\u2019s an honor to talk with you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Thank you, sir, very much.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, sir. I\u2019m a senior citizen. I\u2019m 82-plus years, and I have a clear mind, and I\u2019d like to live at least another 18 years for my family and to see my grandkids grow up and hopefully to even meet my great-grandkids.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, I hate to be, uh… I hate to throw cold water on your desire to live 18 more years, but we better defeat Obama health care if you want that to happen.<\/p>\n

CALLER: That\u2019s what I hope we can do, and I thought of that and the rationing and all of that — health care rationing — and I thought, ‘Is there any other group of people out there who don\u2019t have long to live, and maybe have two, three, four years to live,\u2019 and I thought of people who are HIV-positive and\/or have AIDS. They have only a short time to live. And I thought, ‘Now, are they being told the same thing about health care rationing that we\u2019re being told — and if not, why not?\u2019 Are we being treated differently or are they being treated differently than we are?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, we don\u2019t know yet how the plan would deal with HIV patients, as opposed to how to deal with the elderly. We have a good idea how it\u2019s going to deal with the elderly. <\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, sir.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Obama has said so. Obama has said, ‘Take the pain pill.\u2019<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Now, how to deal with HIV, I can only hazard a guess that because of liberal ‘compassion\u2019 and so forth that there will be some special consideration for certain groups who are loyal supporters of Obama and of Democrats. But I betcha ten-to-one that even despite that, there are going to be a whole lot of Obama supporters shocked to hell to find out they aren\u2019t going to be treated for what they\u2019ve got. This plan can\u2019t possibly treat everyone. For crying out loud, folks, we cannot manage a $1 billion program that just trades in an automobile for a new one!<\/p>\n

RUSH: There was one more thing I was going to say to our last caller, our 82 year old who desires to live 18 more years. It\u2019s a good thing he told me and not Obama. Can you imagine going up in a town hall meeting, ‘I want to live 18 more years. What are my chances with the health care plan?\u2019 ‘Oh, take a pain pill,\u2019 is the answer. I told you, I know what the name of the government insurance company is going to be: All Statist. ‘You\u2019re in good hands with All Statist — as long as you are under 60, in perfect health, and agree to shut up when your taxes go up,\u2019 and if you don\u2019t like All Statist insurance you can go to Statist Farm. Statist Farm is a dual purpose company. It\u2019s an insurance company and it\u2019s actually a pasture where you get put out, once you exceed the age where the administration thinks that it\u2019s worth investing in your health to keep you alive. So you\u2019ll get two choices. You\u2019re in good hands with All Statist, or, ‘Like a Big Brother, Statist Farm will be there.\u2019<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
