CALLER: Hey dittos, Rush.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Hi.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I love your show.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Thank you, sir.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I called because I saw CNN the other day and in the —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Wait a minute whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. That\u2019s a total waste of time. I am stunned to hear somebody in this audience, other than for research purposes, was watching CNN.<\/p>\n

CALLER: It was to see Eric Cantor.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh, you wanted to see Eric Cantor.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, he was on the show.<\/p>\n

RUSH: All right, now I understand it. That makes more sense, thankfully.<\/p>\n

CALLER: He was debating Steny Hoyer and Wolf Blitzer was the moderator. They reached the point where they showed the 52 or 53 Blue Dog Democrats and asked Eric Cantor what he thought and he said, ‘Well, obviously we now have bipartisan support against the bill.\u2019 Which was just glossed over by Steny Hoyer and Wolf Blitzer, and I think we now have an opportunity to use bipartisanship to our advantage.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, yeah, the bipartisanship and so forth, you think it\u2019s a magic word for people, you think if they hear bipartisan they\u2019ll be more inclined to join whatever the bipartisanship is about, in this case opposition to this health care plan?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I think their ears will perk up and they\u2019ll start to see that bipartisanship might work both ways rather than simply railing on the conservatives to have to acquiesce to everything.<\/p>\n

RUSH: We talked about this in the previous hour. The Democrats are actively seeking a villain. They cannot get anything done without a villain. Smokers, now the obese, it\u2019s always been Republicans, Bush. They need a villain, somebody who is going to do destroy your kids\u2019 school lunch program or destroy your Social Security, and right now there aren\u2019t any Republican villains because the Democrats don\u2019t need a single Republican vote in the House or the Senate to pass anything they want. The villains here are the Blue Dog Democrats. You can call this opposition bipartisan but, folks, I\u2019m going to tell you something, and all last week I said, ‘Don\u2019t get giddy; don\u2019t start getting even celebratory.\u2019 We\u2019re dealing here with Rahm Emanuel and private conversations, private meetings, and at the end of the day, a Blue Dog Democrat is what? A Democrat. They\u2019re gonna come to some agreement here, and the agreement might even be somewhat palatable, compared to what we do know about this bill now. <\/p>\n

These people are going to fight for this. If this vote doesn\u2019t happen before August 7th, it will happen when they come back. If it doesn\u2019t happen this year, it will happen next year. Rahm Emanuel, ‘Crisis is an opportunity,\u2019 and they are creating crisis every day in the job market; they\u2019re creating crisis in the financial markets; they\u2019re creating crisis in the housing markets, all this crisis. It\u2019s people clamoring for somebody, government to come in and fix it, to stop it, to make it better. That\u2019s the opportunity, government taking over and doing everything, or as much as it can. So they\u2019re going to come for this. The Blue Dog Democrats are gonna eventually, somehow, some way, be brought around. They\u2019re holding out right now but there\u2019s a way they can be bought. They\u2019re Democrats at the end of the day. Now, if this can be put off into next year it\u2019s going to be tougher because that\u2019s an election year, 2010. The Blue Dogs are going to have to go home and campaign. Nobody, I mean on a national basis, all of the polling is against this plan, the House plan. The Senate\u2019s plan\u2019s just as bad, just hasn\u2019t been as much said about it, but it\u2019s just as bad. <\/p>\n

The Blue Dogs\u2019 constituents and most constituents, most voters are opposed to this. That\u2019s why they\u2019re struggling to get this vote done now before the recess \u2019cause they know when these members of Congress go home they\u2019re going to catch hell from voters at town meetings, and if the vote\u2019s already happened, fine. If the vote hasn\u2019t happened, this is going to make it even harder for them to get but they\u2019re not ever going to give this up. Obamacare is ball game. Obamacare is the end of the United States as we know it. It\u2019s not just the end of health care as you know it. With government-run health care, every aspect of our lives will be regulated as it relates to the cost of health care. People at a certain age and with certain diseases will be deemed not worth the investment, and as Obama said, give them some pain pills and let \u2019em loop out \u2019til they die, and they don\u2019t even know it\u2019s happened. It will be rationed. You\u2019re not going to be able to choose your doctor, probably after a while will not be able to hold onto your private insurance or your current insurance, which is all by design. <\/p>\n

But they\u2019re going to be able to regulate, call you a risk based on do you smoke, do you not smoke, how far do you drive to work, do you wear polyester, it\u2019s more flammable. It could get ridiculous but that\u2019s who these people are and that\u2019s the kind of control they want. That\u2019s why they\u2019re not going to give it up, especially this bunch. This bunch looks at this as the greatest opportunity because they know the Republicans can\u2019t stop anything. It is really wrong to focus on the Republicans in any of this because they can\u2019t stop it. They can\u2019t come close to stopping it. This is all the Democrats. That\u2019s why the Republicans should get out of the way and not even show up, especially in this health bill. Don\u2019t even show up, go out to make speeches, be on TV, but don\u2019t even show up. Let this be a total, 100% Democrat Party show so that everybody understands just who is behind this debacle. <\/p>\n

Now, the Blue Dogs are upsetting a lot of the radical leftists in the House, chief among them that great orator, Maxine Waters. She was on MSNBC Live this morning with the anchor Carlos Watson, their Barack Obama look alike, and their audience could probably be fooled into believing it is Obama doing the morning show on MSNBC. Watson said to Maxine Waters, ‘Are the president and Rahm Emanuel treading too lightly here? Are they not bringing out the big stick against some of those Blue Dog Democrats saying, ‘Look, you guys have to get on board, we have to go forward, make sure everybody has better health care, is covered, hopefully better quality and outcomes?\u2019<\/p>\n

WATERS: That may be difficult for Rahm Emanuel because, don\u2019t forget, he recruited most of them. As when he was over in the Congress in the leadership, Rahm Emanuel recruited more conservative members and based on some of the information that I\u2019m getting they told him that they could vote the way they wanted to vote, that they would not interfere with what they considered their philosophy about some of these things, so now the chickens have come home to roost.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Ooh, she\u2019s stealing lines from Reverend Wright. America\u2019s chickenssss have come home to roost. Maxine Waters now plagiarizing the ever popular Reverend Wright. Now, what this is about, Rahm Emanuel, it was his idea to go get these conservative Democrats in various districts that were seats held by Republicans in order give themselves the majority, and the theory was, ‘Okay, we\u2019ll get \u2019em in here and then we\u2019ll get their minds right. We\u2019ll withhold campaign money, we\u2019ll withhold committee assignments, we\u2019ll get \u2019em,\u2019 and that hasn\u2019t worked, and so Maxine is kind of saying to Rahm Emanuel, ‘Hey, we got a problem here and it\u2019s all your fault because you\u2019re the reason these pretenders are in here.\u2019 Now, Nancy Pelosi yesterday, Capitol Hill, a press conference, said this to the State-Run Media that was in attendance.<\/p>\n

PELOSI (sped up): I have said that I wanted a bill to pass before we left for the August recess. In fact, I honored a request of the President to make that commitment. But I\u2019ve also said that our members need the time that they need to not only get the bill written, but to have plenty of time to review it. We\u2019re on schedule either to do it now or to do it whenever.<\/p>\n

RUSH: This is Democrats in disarray. Rahm Emanuel did not say he wants it whenever, Nancy. He said he wants it this week. He wants it now. If you\u2019re just tuning in, by the way, we are speeding up Obama, Pelosi, Barney Frank and other Democrats to illustrate the hurry that they are in to get this done.
