We have the audio of John Conyers. It\u2019s last Friday at the National Press Club. Now, folks, I\u2019m going to be honest with you. I didn\u2019t know until doing show prep today that Conyers had said this on Friday. And I only saw it because I checked out the Cybercast News Service. I didn\u2019t see it in any State-Run Media. Did you? Did you guys hear about this over the weekend? It was a shock to everybody, right? Here\u2019s what he said again. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/01125109.Par.89380.ImageFile_579144bedbd9b.jpg\" width=\"250\" height=\"183\" class=\"alignright\"\/>CONYERS: I love these members that get up and say, &#8216;Read the bill!\u2019 What good is reading the bill if it\u2019s a thousand pages and you don\u2019t have two days and two lawyers to find out what it means after you\u2019ve read the bill?<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: That\u2019s in a luncheon speech at the National Press Club in Washington last Friday. &#8216;What good does it do to read the bill if you don\u2019t have a couple lawyers to find out what it means after you read it?\u2019 This guy is chairman of the House Judiciary Committee. So&#8230; Sometimes it\u2019s just best to get out of their way and just let them go ahead and make fools of themselves. Oh, I\u2019m sorry! Mr. Moyers, by the way, I\u2019m sorry for &#8216;creating a riot in the public mind &#8216;here by publicizing what Congressman Conyers said. I guess this is what Mr. Moyers would accuse me of doing, right? &#8216;Creating a riot in the public mind\u2019? I should not have played this, nor should I have read the story what Mr. Conyers said, right? (interruption) Well, because, you know, I\u2019m fanning the flames according to the White House press secretary. (interruption) What do you mean people&#8230;? Liberals used to tell us people have a right to know, but apparently not this. I\u2019ll bet you this is &#8216;fanning the flames,\u2019 Gibbs says; and Moyers said I\u2019m &#8216;creating a riot in the public mind.\u2019 They didn\u2019t report this.
