RUSH: To Woodstock, California. Or is that Georgia? Georgia. We start with Georgia and Cynthia. Hi, Cynthia. Welcome to the EIB Network.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hello. It is such an honor to talk to you today. I am a huge fan, and I thank you for taking my call.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You bet.<\/p>\n

CALLER: We found out this morning that my husband became a statistic of Obama. He got laid off from his job, and we\u2019re devastated. You know, we didn\u2019t vote for Obama, we don\u2019t like Obama, and here this is the change we\u2019re getting? And when\u2019s it going to change? When are things going to turn around? When are these jobs that he promised coming be back? It\u2019s terrible. I mean, what has this man done for our country in the past five, six months? Nothing.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Wreck it.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah, and we\u2019re just… I\u2019m tired of him. Didn\u2019t like him before, don\u2019t like him now.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, I hear you. I\u2019m as frustrated, if not more so than you are, and I have not been laid off.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Although they are gunning for me.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, aren\u2019t they, though!<\/p>\n

RUSH: But let me answer your question. You asked me a question, and I am an honest host.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Mmm-hmm.<\/p>\n

RUSH: And I can only tell you what the Obama administration said in answer to a question similar to yours — and Larry Summers went out, he\u2019s one of the economic advisors to Obama and said the stimulus worked. <\/p>\n

CALLER: Mmm-hmm.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You know, it\u2019s working just like we thought. But this is going to be a jobless recovery. <\/p>\n

CALLER: (sighs)<\/p>\n

RUSH: So things aren\u2019t going to change job-wise. They\u2019re going to get worse. Obama himself admits that unemployment will exceed 10%.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Mmm-hmm.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Your husband is part of the statistic that will lead it higher than 9.5, which it was at the last reporting period.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right.<\/p>\n

RUSH: However, having said that, I don\u2019t know what your husband does for a living.<\/p>\n

CALLER: He does computer forensics.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Computer forensics.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Mmm-hmm.<\/p>\n

RUSH: All right. There is still time. Obama has not destroyed the private sector. He\u2019s en route. He\u2019s on the way. <\/p>\n

CALLER: Mmm-hmm.<\/p>\n

RUSH: But he hasn\u2019t eliminated opportunity yet. There are any number of things that people still need service-wise in this economy. The point is, your husband may… There are plenty of great jobs in computer business in India, especially for computer forensics. They\u2019re just getting up to speed. Your husband could own a job in India, but I doubt that you want to move there.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Exactly.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Correct. So, you\u2019re left here with facing… Do you work?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I work part time because we have child with special needs, and so I have to work part time so I can take him to his therapies and be there for him. So it\u2019s put us in a bind. I mean, my husband is the breadwinner. And, you know, we\u2019re concerned.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, you\u2019ll be comforted to know that there are unemployment compensation benefits — <\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, yes!<\/p>\n

RUSH: — that will be extended to you.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Mmm-hmm.<\/p>\n

RUSH: That will, you know, cover about 25%.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah. (chuckles)<\/p>\n

RUSH: But, you know… (sigh) I say this to people throughout the 20-plus years I\u2019ve been hosting this program, because people have lost their jobs every year. It happens. People lose jobs, lose careers, change jobs, change careers, and so forth. There\u2019s still opportunity. I don\u2019t know how big a place Woodstock, Georgia, is —<\/p>\n

CALLER: We\u2019re right outside of Atlanta.<\/p>\n

RUSH: All right. You still live in the United States of America, and there are still jobs out there to be had. There are people getting jobs. It\u2019s just the fact that more people are losing them than are getting them.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right.<\/p>\n

RUSH: This is still a country where you can create your own job.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Mmm-hmm.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Now he was doing computer forensics for a company, right?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right, workers\u2019 compensation. Mmm-hmm.<\/p>\n

RUSH: There\u2019s nothing stopping him from hanging his own shingle.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right.<\/p>\n

RUSH: He can do this. This is the United States of America.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Mmm-hmm.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I\u2019m not trying to be falsely optimistic here or hopeful, but this guy hasn\u2019t succeeded in beating everybody down yet.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yet. Mmm-hmm.<\/p>\n

RUSH: And so I understand your frustration. I relate to it, and I\u2019m as angry as you are. I\u2019m an American!<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I detest what I see this administration doing. I detest it. There is no need for this.<\/p>\n

CALLER: We can\u2019t believe this is America. It blows our mind when we wake up every morning and we watch the news, we\u2019re like, ‘This is America? This isn\u2019t the America that we grew up in.\u2019 I mean, it just blows our mind.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, it certainly won\u2019t be if this guy succeeds.<\/p>\n

CALLER: That\u2019s right. We\u2019re behind you where we don\u2019t want him to succeed.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, we want him to fail.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes.<\/p>\n

RUSH: And problem is he is failing.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes.<\/p>\n

RUSH: With his own plan, which we knew would fail. I wanted him to fail implementing the plan, but regardless. Well, good luck.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Thank you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Chin up.<\/p>\n

CALLER: We will.<\/p>\n

RUSH: There is opportunity out there. Your husband is in computer forensics. He\u2019s a bright guy. He\u2019ll find something, I am confident.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Thank you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You bet.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Appreciate it.<\/p>\n

He ended partisanship, except he didn\u2019t. He ended racial politics, except he\u2019s promoting it. He\u2019s ‘saved\u2019 millions of jobs, but he has not yet stopped the seas from rising, as he promised. That\u2019s still a work in progress. That\u2019s about it.
