CALLER: Hi, Rush. Mega dittos from a state not in financial distress thanks to a conservative governor.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Thank you, sir.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Just wanted to point out real quick here, kind of quick hit before I get into the real jobs number, I think I may have figured out where Obama is getting this ‘saved\u2019 number when he talks about jobs.<\/p>\n

RUSH: It\u2019s made up.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, it may be because of how many employees are still employed at ACORN since he\u2019s been the president. Maybe that\u2019s where he\u2019s getting that. But, you know, just back to the real jobs number that came out today at 9.5% unemployment. I find it real interesting that over the last six months, the first half of this year we\u2019ve shed over 3.2 million jobs but ironically there is a private sector that has added 122,000 jobs and that\u2019s health care, the only private sector that\u2019s gained jobs. Is it possible, Rush, that Obama is going to make sure that the only sector that\u2019s going to grow the economy is government jobs? And so therefore that\u2019s why he\u2019s trying to socialize —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Regardless of the mechanics of it all, regardless of the mechanics, the one area that\u2019s really growing is government employment. But they\u2019re even threatened now with all these states in trouble, government employees are in trouble. But this is a systematic wrecking ball taken to American prosperity. There is a War on Prosperity. It\u2019s being led by Colonel Obama, and it specifically has as its aim to deplete the private sector. Now, if health care happens to be an exception to the rule, I would have to say that the market is dictating this in the private sector. Obama is not doing anything to cause jobs to be hired in the private sector, folks. Nothing. Zip, zero, nada. What Obama is causing to happen is jobs to be lost. <\/p>\n

RUSH: Dick, Maple Valley, Washington. Nice to have you with us. Hello.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hello, Rush. Twenty-year impact dittos.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Thank you, sir. Yes, the Washington Post is a pimp. I mean, if you want me to say it, I\u2019ll say it. I\u2019m sorry, Dick, go ahead. Inside baseball here.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Okay. Well, I found out yesterday one way the Obamas may be keeping score on jobs created or saved, my wife and I own a manufacturing company, and one of our customers received stimulus money. So they send us a form from the Department of Administrative Services, about 50 questions to go through and two of them were how many jobs were created or how many jobs were sustained. So I put zero because there really wasn\u2019t any, and sent it in. They called back and said, ‘Well, didn\u2019t anyone…\u2019<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, now, wait, I\u2019m confused. You didn\u2019t get the stimulus money, somebody else did. Why are you filling out the form?<\/p>\n

CALLER: They bought our product.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh. So stimulus money bought your product and then you had to report back to Washington?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Correct. Yeah. And so they said, ‘Well, how can it be zero, didn\u2019t someone process our order or make the product?\u2019 And I said, ‘Well, to me a job sustained is if I didn\u2019t have to lay-off or fire someone because you ordered something and that\u2019s not the case.\u2019 And he had a guide that the government provided that explains their logic on each line item, and they said, ‘No, sustained would mean that someone actually worked on the product and made it and so that counts as a job sustained.\u2019 And so I said, ‘So the person that answers the phone would be one, the person that boxed it up would be two,\u2019 and I said I can\u2019t do that.<\/p>\n

RUSH: What happens if a machine answers like if you call 211?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah. So I gave \u2019em one, but, you know, that\u2019s one too many, and, you know, I\u2019m sure that\u2019s what they\u2019re going to use —<\/p>\n
