How you doing?<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Just fine, sir. Thank you.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Yesterday at the end of your show a man called up and he as much as said that he thought Michael Jackson was a child molester, and you tried to defend Michael Jackson. It\u2019s my belief, sir &#8212; and with all due respect you are due a lot of respect, but with all due respect &#8212; it\u2019s not a conservative position to take, to try to defend Michael Jackson.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Well, I wasn\u2019t taking a political position or an ideological position. Nor was I defending Michael Jackson. I\u2019m glad you called on this, Cameron, I appreciate your nice comments, because I got a lot of e-mail about this last night from Web subscribers calling me a &#8216;pervert\u2019 and a number of other things for &#8216;defending this child molester.\u2019 Let me take a little time here because it was at the end of the program. I didn\u2019t have a lot of time. We had a caller yesterday who&#8230; What was his original point? What was it he wanted to talk about? What was the original purpose? I forget what, but he said to me in&#8230; (interruption) Oh, that\u2019s right. He was upset that the media was doing nothing but covering Michael Jackson and ignoring other serious issues. And then he said &#8212; and nobody will convince me that Michael Jackson is not a child molester.<\/p>\n<p>And I said, &#8216;Wait a second. You\u2019re no different than the media,\u2019 and I commented on the media yesterday, the media has been in total, almost total speculation mode since Michael Jackson died. We don\u2019t know what the autopsy results are. We don\u2019t know what the drug situation was. We don\u2019t know any of this. This is a media disgrace. They don\u2019t know anything. This is not defending Michael Jackson, but I\u2019m going to tell you something, folks. This happens to me every day, being lied about, misrepresented, miscast by the media. It has happened every day for 19-1\/2 years, ever since they first heard about me. I have a different sensitivity to this. Now, Michael Jackson &#8212; and I can relate to this. Michael Jackson was charged with child abuse. <\/p>\n<p>He was tried, and he was found not guilty. I don\u2019t know whether he abused kids or not. I know he paid off a kid once, a family. But I don\u2019t know. All I\u2019m telling you is the State of California did not make its case in that trial! It was a lousy case. The woman, the mother was a lousy witness, and so was her son. Now, somebody sent me an e-mail, &#8216;Oh, they found OJ not guilty, too, and I guess you believe him.\u2019 They\u2019re two entirely different things. You had jury nullification in the OJ case. This was a different circumstance altogether. My only point here is that we have a media out of control, and if they\u2019re willing to totally speculate and lie and report things they do not know about anybody, you need to be suspicious about what they say about everybody they report on and every event they report on. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>RUSH: Cameron in Martinsburg, Pennsylvania, I\u2019m glad you called, sir.
