RUSH: So listen up. The Drive-By Media, AP, reporting that I referred to Sonia Sotomayor as a ‘reverse racist\u2019 and Obama as a ‘reverse racist,\u2019 which I did. I stand by it. I have an audio sound bite from Sonia Sotomayor and a quote from a speech that she made in a separate occasion to illustrate the point. Here\u2019s the sound bite.SOTOMAYOR: All of the legal defense funds out there, they\u2019re looking for people with Court of Appeals experience because it is — Court of Appeals is where policy is made. And I know, and I know this is on tape, and I should never say that because we don\u2019t make law, I know. (laughing)RUSH: Wink, wink, wink.\"\"SOTOMAYOR: Okay, I know. I know. I\u2019m not promoting it and I\u2019m not advocating it. I\u2019m — you know. (laughing)RUSH: They\u2019re saying that we take this comment out of context. But she\u2019s on a panel. You ought to see the video. She\u2019s on a panel and, by the way, Supreme Court is an appeals court. Never forget. I\u2019ve heard some people say, ‘Well, she was talking about the appellate.\u2019 The Supreme Court is an appeals court. It\u2019s the last stop on a big frontier. And ‘Court of Appeals is where policy is made.\u2019 Right there she is saying she\u2019s the antithesis of a judge. Judges do not make policy. The elected leaders of the people make policy. Okay. So she\u2019s the antithesis of a judge, they\u2019re reporting I said that? She is. The left can say it\u2019s been taken out of context all they want, but it\u2019s not.In a another example of her radical judicial philosophy, Sonia Sotomayor stated in a 2002 speech at Berkeley that she believes it\u2019s appropriate for a judge to consider, quote, their experiences as women and people of color. Reverse racism, she\u2019s a minority, only she can understand the horrible trials and tribulations minorities have gone through, and the courts are the places where their grievances are redressed, and they\u2019re not. The court is where the law is dealt with. In the same speech, Sonia Sotomayor went on to say, quote, ‘I would hope that a wise Latina woman, with the richness of her experience, would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn\u2019t lived that life.\u2019 If that\u2019s not a racist statement, I don\u2019t know what is. ‘Reverse racist\u2019 or whatever. Let me read it to you another way. Chief Justice John Roberts, in another speech, said, I would hope that a wise white man, with the richness of his experience, would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a Latina female who hasn\u2019t lived the rich white man\u2019s life. Do you think there would be any dispute that John Roberts had made a racist statement?<\/p>\n

\"\"Now, you might be saying, ‘She\u2019s entitled, Rush, because she\u2019s a minority, and minorities do not have the power to implement whatever racism they have.\u2019 That was Jesse Jackson\u2019s old argument that black people cannot be racist because they don\u2019t have the power to go along with it. Excuse me, she\u2019s on the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, and she has used this power in deciding cases, and she has been rebuked by fellow judges on the Second Circuit. So you\u2019re gonna hear evil Limbaugh called Obama and Sotomayor ‘reverse racists.\u2019 We\u2019ve got the transcript up, everything I said about Sotomayor and Obama. The second half hour was devoted to my reaction to Colin Powell and Tom Ridge. Both transcripts are now up at RushLimbaugh.com for the Drive-By Media to more accurately misquote. Let the misquoting begin. If anybody is ever taken out of context in any of this, it\u2019s me. But I don\u2019t follow that up with (crying). And, of course, nobody has ever reported the compelling story that I have that brought me to my heights. Just the exact opposite. I\u2019m portrayed as somebody born with a silver spoon in his mouth. So it is what it is. Racism is what it is. Reverse racism is what it is. And Sotomayor qualifies by virtue of her own words. Can\u2019t deny \u2019em.<\/p>\n

So what I called about, all the racism talk and everything, it seems to me that so far in Obama\u2019s presidency more than pushing a socialist agenda, which to me is just leveling of the playing field, not dependent on race, age, gender, or anything, that it\u2019s — their racist policies, he\u2019s waging a class war. Socioeconomically, minorities have always been —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Exactly. That\u2019s why I said he shows up with a chip on his shoulder. This is an angry guy.<\/p>\n

And he\u2019s making every — you know, I try not to get too angry, but I do, you know, and I get mad, and, you know, it\u2019s just so much more insidious than just socialism that he\u2019s tried — it\u2019s kind of like he\u2019s saying, okay, whitey, I\u2019m going to pay you back now.<\/p>\n
