RUSH: I\u2019m telling you: It just irritates the heck out of them when they see Trump laughing and smiling, having a good time, stopping and talking to the press, taunting the press, having fun with \u2019em. You want to talk about being dispirited? You know we never see them get dispirited. We never have it reported that they get dispirited. But I\u2019m telling you, they do every day. Every day they wake up and Trump is still in the Oval Office.<\/p>\n

\"\"They are depressed. They are dispirited. They are angry. Half of them are feeling like failures every day! After everything they\u2019ve done to get rid of the guy and he\u2019s still there? I guarantee you, they\u2019re miserable. If you\u2019re happy when other people are miserable, then you ought to be happy, because trust me: The Democrats do not know what to do with themselves right now. They are at uncharted territory. They have never failed this long with this many different efforts and techniques to get rid of somebody. So here\u2019s Trump at The Villages up near Orlando. He\u2019s lighting it upside down there. THE PRESIDENT: Two-point-five million people have been lifted out of poverty. That means more Americans that now have — and that\u2019s what\u2019s it\u2019s all about. They have a great way of life. They have affordable health care options, and millions of seniors are enjoying better, healthier, and more prosperous retirements.<\/p>\n

CROWD: (applause)<\/p>\n

THE PRESIDENT: I should be retiring with you!<\/p>\n

CROWD: (applause)<\/p>\n

THE PRESIDENT: I should be in this audience clapping.<\/p>\n

THE PRESIDENT: But I didn\u2019t trust anybody to be standing here because I know what you have.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You hear that?<\/p>\n

CROWD: (chanting) Four more years!<\/p>\n

RUSH: They\u2019re out there chanting, “Four more years! Four more years!” You hear that?<\/p>\n

\"\"RUSH: He\u2019s lighting it up at The Villages. “I should be retiring with you! I should be in this audience clapping. But I didn\u2019t trust anybody to be standing here,” meaning, “I didn\u2019t trust anybody to do what needs to be done besides me.” That\u2019s when they started going crazy. Now, The Villages, those are people who have been around awhile. They should know a fraud and a phony when they see one. If they were gonna buy the notion that Trump\u2019s what the left says, they wouldn\u2019t have shown up here.<\/p>\n

But, I mean, they could barely contain their excitement when he showed up.<\/p>\n

RUSH: We got time to squeeze Pence in here. This is this afternoon Phoenix on the campaign trail.<\/p>\n

PENCE: One of the main reasons we were elected in Washington, D.C., is to drain the swamp. I think the American people have a right to know if the vice president of the United States — or his family — profited from his position as vice president during the last administration. That\u2019s about looking backwards and understanding what really happened. I mean, the fact that my predecessor had a son who was paid $50,000 a month to be on a Ukrainian board, at the time that Vice President Biden was leading the Obama administration\u2019s efforts in Ukraine? The American people have a right to know whether or not the vice president of United States or his family profited from his position.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Exactly, and the president is duty-bound to follow up corruption by American officials in a foreign country, be it Ukraine or China. Pence on fire there. That\u2019s good.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hi, Rush, love ya. My question is this. Will any of the Democrat primary candidates see an opportunity to use the Ukraine issue against Biden in the upcoming debate?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yes.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I hope so.<\/p>\n

RUSH: The way they\u2019re gonna do it is they\u2019ll apologize. They\u2019ll say they can\u2019t avoid it, that it\u2019s out there, and it has to be addressed. It\u2019s gonna fall on Elizabeth Warren. You know, if you look at the poll data now, Elizabeth Warren has inched ahead of Plugs by just a little bit in enough polls to make it look like she might be the leader. This will come up. A moderator will ask about it, or somebody like Tulsi Gabbard or Kamala Harris will bring it up. Somebody will.<\/p>\n

It will then be up to Elizabeth Warren to start rubbing her hands together and say, “It\u2019s so unfortunate. It\u2019s so sad. But this is what happened when you have a rotgut guy like Trump. We\u2019ve gotta have people above and beyond reproach.” That\u2019s how they\u2019ll do it. They\u2019ll make it look like somebody else is attacking Plugs, that they\u2019re not doing it, but they\u2019ll obviously use it as an excuse to make the case for themselves. It\u2019s actually a good question. It\u2019s already started. They\u2019ve already been hitting Plugs for a while.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
