Because Doris Day, who is a friend of mine, lives in Carmel Valley.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: I go to her place every Tuesday and Friday night with my standard poodle Bocelli.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Yeah, she\u2019s practically got a zoo there. I know.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/01125116.Par.89380.ImageFile.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"235\" class=\"alignright\"\/>CALLER: Yeah, she\u2019s a wonderful lady. Well, I\u2019m a first-time caller, Rush. I\u2019m so excited to be on your program. I wanted to tell you that Karl Rove is coming to the Monterey Conference Center along with a fellow by the name of David Plouffe, who is a Barry man. <\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Wait, wait, wait, David who? What\u2019s the last name?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: I don\u2019t know if I\u2019m pronouncing it right. David P-loof. He was former &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Oh, it\u2019s &#8216;fluff\u2019. Yeah, David Plouffe, one of Obama\u2019s campaign guys.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Okay. So anyway, they have a conference going, and the topic is, &#8216;Can the partisan divide ever end?\u2019 and what I want to say is, in the papers &#8212; and I want to name names. This CNN correspondent, Frank Sesno, he goes, &#8216;We trust our (garbled) readers will refrain from throwing shoes or pies at the worthy Mr. Rove.\u2019 Now, now, you know, if we\u2019re going to end some sort of divide like they\u2019re saying, what a ridiculous comment to make.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: I think Mr. Sesno was trying to be funny, but this is typical of liberal humor. The premise, you know, the belief here is that Karl Rove is going to be targeted. They just think, &#8216;Rove? Oh, my God, Rove\u2019s coming out!\u2019 So he said, &#8216;We trust people won\u2019t throw pies or shoes at Karl Rove.\u2019 It\u2019s just&#8230; I don\u2019t know. It doesn\u2019t have a whole lot of class to it. But I just think these guys are trying to be funny. I think that\u2019s an example of their sense of humor. They\u2019re not funny, but don\u2019t worry. Even if somebody throws a pie or a shoe at Karl Rove, he\u2019ll dive in the audience after \u2019em. Karl Rove doesn\u2019t take this from anybody. He\u2019ll be fine. Everything\u2019s cool. Look&#8230; (sigh) It\u2019s just what it is. I\u2019m glad that you saw that. That\u2019s who they are. Now, Snerdley thinks that Sesno is sending out a signal to throw shoes and pies at Rove, and that could be. Maybe they want that picture. Maybe they want that kind of thing to happen. If they want that kind of thing to happen, do this in Santa Cruz.
