RUSH: Tyler, Texas, as we go back to the phones. This is Susan. It\u2019s nice to have you with us. Hello.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hi, Rush. I\u2019m so excited to get to talk to you. When I first discovered you on the radio, the first words I heard from you were about women on the front lines in the military, and I heard you say, ‘Why would a woman trade the best of what it is to be a woman for the worst of what it is to be a man?\u2019 And I said, ‘Who is this guy? He\u2019s fantastic.\u2019 So I have a question for you, and I only trust you to be able to answer this question.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, you\u2019ve called the right place.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I think I have. The question I have, Rush, is this. With ACORN and this Porkulus stimulus bill getting $4 billion — with a ‘B,\u2019 $4 billion — what effect is that going to have on our future elections? Even with all the conservatives standing up at the tea parties, will we have a chance with $4 billion in ACORN?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yes, and I\u2019m glad you asked about this. Election fraud has been a staple of our country since there were elections. I mean people are people, and there are always people who are going to try to cheat. The Democrats have had ACORN and other community organizer groups engaged in fraudulent voter registration for many, many years. It\u2019s not optimal and of course it\u2019s immoral that such groups should be receiving federal money in the guise of stimulus, but the way it was done, they were called neighborhood rebuilding groups or some such thing, but it\u2019s community organizers like ACORN. But when you get right down to it, Susan, all these people at the tea parties, if somebody doesn\u2019t surface they want to vote for, it\u2019s going to be 2008 all over again.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Exactly.<\/p>\n

RUSH: If the Republican Party nominates somebody similar to McCain in 2012, it\u2019s going to be — we can overcome all of this with the right candidate. We won two landslides in the eighties and Ronald Reagan did not have anywhere near a conservative media backing then. He didn\u2019t have anywhere near the allied support that Republicans do today. The difference is, Reagan didn\u2019t need it, these people do, and they eschew it. So it really boils down to who it is that the Republican Party, conservative movement presents as a candidate.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Exactly. Well, I\u2019ve just been so concerned because it seems to me the only purpose is to steal elections.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You should be concerned. Oh, it\u2019s far more than that. They do far more than try to steal elections. They intimidate business; they work hand in hand with militant union leaders. They\u2019re socialists.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Exactly.<\/p>\n

RUSH: They\u2019re doing everything they can to limit individual freedom and liberty.<\/p>\n

CALLER: They do.<\/p>\n

RUSH: And fraudulently registering voters to win elections is just one spoke of their wheel to attempt to achieve what it is they want. They know just like every other leftist group, Susan. they can\u2019t win in a fair fight arena of ideas.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Exactly. Well, thank you so much, Rush. I only can trust you with talking about this, because no one else will.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yes, you can, Susan. Thank you very much. Glad you called. <\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: To Phil in Tampa, you\u2019re next on the Rush Limbaugh program. Hello, sir.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hi. Rush, I\u2019ve been listening to you forever. And the thing that I really enjoy about your show is how you always stay positive. I\u2019m finding it very difficult to stay positive. And to make a long story short it\u2019s because of what\u2019s happening at work. Here in Tampa I work for an engineering company, and when all of our so-called leaders were voting on this Porkulus bill, we were getting e-mails, maybe not daily, but weekly about how we should support it and call our congressman and our senator and, you know, they\u2019re not spending enough, they need to spend more. And I said, ‘This might be great for the company, if you get this money, but what about the country?\u2019 And everybody that was sitting around that table looked at me like I was from another planet. I realized that I\u2019m not alone, I listen to the radio, I hear your callers, but I felt alone that day, at least with the people I work with, anyway.<\/p>\n

RUSH: A lot of people do who have to interact with liberals every day, because when you interact with average, ordinary, everyday liberals or Democrats, it\u2019s hard not to think, ‘My God, the country is finished. Over.\u2019 These people haven\u2019t the slightest concern for anything that you have a concern for. They\u2019re selfish or it\u2019s all emotional or something like that. I can relate. If I had to deal with them at work all day, every day like you, it would take an effort to stay optimistic, \u2019cause I imagine those e-mails that you were sent were very effective with those people.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, very much so. I can\u2019t speak for everybody, but I was probably one of the only ones that was against it.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, here\u2019s the problem. See, these people all think Obama is the country. They all think Obama is good for the country, they all think Bush was horrible, they think Obama only cares about improving the country. This is a result of the demagogic campaign and the cult-like hold that Obama has on these people. So when you say to them, ‘Well, it may be good for the company but what about the country?\u2019 they think they\u2019ve already got good for the country buttoned up by electing Obama. So you got a wide gulf there that you have literally no contact with them on. You have nothing in common with them on that.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Obviously not. The funny thing is, after the Porkulus went through and this money I guess is not coming fast enough, the company ended up laying off about 6% of the workforce anyway.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, exactly, because the company was never gonna get the stimulus money.<\/p>\n

CALLER: That\u2019s what I thought.<\/p>\n

RUSH: State governments get the stimulus. Have these coworkers of yours take a look what\u2019s happening at Caterpillar. Obama singled them out. He lied to the country. He said the Caterpillar CEO said that he would start hiring people back the moment that there was a responsible stimulus plan signed. And Obama says, ‘He\u2019s talking about my plan.\u2019 Well, Caterpillar just announced yesterday, more layoffs around the country and worldwide, and the stimulus bill was about shovel-ready jobs. It was about rebuilding roads and bridges and schools and buildings and all this wonderful sounding pap.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Exactly.<\/p>\n

RUSH: But the problem you\u2019re up against, your people, your coworkers, they see the facts, it\u2019s happening in their own business, but Obama doesn\u2019t know it\u2019s working this way, or Obama still intends to help us, blah, blah, blah. It\u2019s a deep attachment that these people have.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, it seems to me it was very scary, because, you know, you listen to the radio and every once in a while you get somebody on there ultra-left, and, you know, they disagree with you, but I didn\u2019t think there was that many, in my own life, I didn\u2019t realize there were so many of them. And it\u2019s scary. To me it\u2019s scary. It\u2019s the first time I\u2019ve ever really been scared about it.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, this is not comforting, but you\u2019re not alone in that, either. You\u2019re not alone in being scared. I have friends who have kids in school here. I don\u2019t know how these parents put up with it. If I had a kid in school and my kid was coming home telling me the stories of what happened, I would not be able to sit back and not do anything about it because of being afraid to anger the teacher and harming my kid\u2019s grade. I\u2019d be storming the school with all kinds of protests and demands that this stuff cease and so forth. I think it\u2019s pervasive out there, there\u2019s no question. But hang in. There\u2019s not much else you can do anyway and I can tell by talking to you, you don\u2019t want to give up, you don\u2019t want to cave in. Just be confident that you\u2019re right and that eventually they\u2019re going to see the light at some point, some of them will. They all won\u2019t. But the history of the country is such that we\u2019ve overcome a lot. <\/p>\n

This is a new chapter in things we have to overcome. We\u2019ve never had a president that thinks so little of his country. And we\u2019ve never had a president that\u2019s so eager to apologize for it around the world. We\u2019ve never had a president that is so eager to not defend, stand up and praise his own country. The dangerous thing there is that he\u2019s bringing all these cult-like followers along with him in that belief with the notion that America is unjust, immoral, unfair, and that just sets the stage for massive federal involvement in everybody\u2019s lives akin to what\u2019s going on with the global warming hoax. But be confident and take solace in the fact that you have millions of other Americans out there right in line with you who also aren\u2019t caving in or giving up. Their children and grandchildren, the future matter too much to them. <\/p>\n

RUSH: Yes.<\/p>\n

CALLER: And we very much enjoyed it. I have something on my mind that has, for the past several months, it\u2019s really kind of troubled me. With the Democrats and the way that things are going, and the leftist liberals — excuse me, if you will, if that\u2019s even permissible to say — wreaking havoc on the likes of middle class America and maybe, you know, lower class, middle class America, my question is, ‘What are they wanting?\u2019 It can\u2019t be money, because most of the people that are wreaking the havoc on are not necessarily elite —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay, you\u2019re basically asking, ‘What\u2019s in it for liberals to –‘<\/p>\n

CALLER: What are they in it for? I have a theory.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay, let me answer it because I don\u2019t have much time here, and not that I don\u2019t want to hear your theory, but I want to answer your question within the limited amount of time I\u2019ve got \u2019cause you said the key. It\u2019s not about money, because they are getting screwed with money, too. It\u2019s about revenge. When you get right down to it, liberals are angrier now than they were before the election, or as angry. People can\u2019t understand, they\u2019re still as mad, they\u2019re still as filled with hatred for us, their domestic enemy is as they were before the election. This is about revenge, this is about getting even. This is about cutting other people down to size. But you start trying to understand intellectually what\u2019s in it for them to support this kind of stuff, and you\u2019re going to have a tough time because it\u2019s all emotion. They really think the poor are gonna get richer, they think that the country is going to become fairer and all these nebulous things that government cannot accomplish. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
