RUSH: Here is Mark in Houston. Glad you called, sir, you\u2019re next on the EIB Network. Hello.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Mega dittos from the current president and CEO of my own minority. Rush, I\u2019d just like to say that socialism is big business. It\u2019s bigger than Big Oil; it\u2019s bigger than Big Tomato, and Big Union. It\u2019s not about equality for individuals or the kumbaya liberals. It\u2019s really some very, very powerful people that I believe are investing billions of dollars into anti-capitalist protests, into funding elections —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Explain to people how socialism is big business.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Because somebody is going to end up with this pile of money, and I would have to follow the money and say that it\u2019s the people that are investing the big billions of dollars into this movement so they can benefit from it, not to help out the little guy. That\u2019s the facade.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, of course, and it works, it works. The little guy always thinks that he\u2019s owed something. But Mark in Houston here has a point, you know, the old adage, follow the money if you want the answer to anything. Socialism, big business? Take a look at the trillions of dollars the government is handing to certain people and certain businesses. They don\u2019t even have to earn it. They just decided they\u2019re going to give it away. Some of it might be called loans. Regardless, maybe it\u2019s big business, but it\u2019s hideous. Socialism does not provide for the general welfare, and it does not create entrepreneurial activity, freedom, liberty, or happiness.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Ah, I feel like I hit the lottery, I\u2019ve been trying for two weeks to get through.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Thank you, sir, very much. <\/p>\n

CALLER: Perseverance. America, you have to persevere, you have to be patient. Just because your web page doesn\u2019t load as fast as you want it, the economy isn\u2019t going to be as fast as the web page. What really irks me is with corporate America, people saying, ‘Rush, can I get my job back? Are you going to be able to get my job back from something that\u2019s been outsourced and the corporations are going all over, out of the country.\u2019 Why don\u2019t these people invest in America, invest in corporate America, become stockholders. The CEOs and the boards of directors pay lip service to their shareholders. Invest in America and invest in yourself by investing in corporate America. Wouldn\u2019t that help?<\/p>\n

RUSH: It might. No question about it. But the whole thing about outsourcing, even President Obama slipped up. I love this, \u2019cause the teleprompter, that teleprompter sometimes sneaks things in there that are not in Obama\u2019s best interests to say, but the teleprompter nevertheless makes him say them. Obama got a call during his virtual town meeting about outsourcing jobs, he said, ‘Look, those jobs aren\u2019t coming back.\u2019 There\u2019s a reason they aren\u2019t coming back. They\u2019re outsourced for a reason, an economic reason, and they\u2019re not coming back. If you\u2019re sitting out waiting for a job that\u2019s now being done by a slumdog in India, and you\u2019re waiting for that job to be canceled, for the slumdog to be thrown out of work, and you to get the job, it ain\u2019t going to happen. It\u2019s not the way economics works. Even Obama\u2019s teleprompter got him to admit that. Now, as for slow loading web pages, I haven\u2019t had that problem in I don\u2019t know how long. I use Safari Beta 4 with a T3. I mean it\u2019s just there. If your web page is loading slow, and it bothers you that much, go get a T3, or band a bunch of cable modems together or what have you. There\u2019s no reason to sit up there and tolerate a slow-loading web page.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
