RUSH: Now let\u2019s go back to me, February 16th, myself speaking here on my show.<\/p>\n

RUSH ARCHIVE: It isn\u2019t going to be long before we go back to amnesty, and it isn\u2019t going to be long before we start, you know, doing a number of — I\u2019ll bet you by this summer, Obama comes back for another stimulus package after they do TARP 2 sometime in March. Mark my words. That\u2019s the way this is going to happen. Remember, FDR ‘didn\u2019t spend enough soon enough.\u2019<\/p>\n

RUSH: That\u2019s what they said, FDR\u2019s mistake was he didn\u2019t spend enough soon enough. I predicted a comeback for Porkulus 2. Last night on CNN, Anderson Cooper 360, Anderson spoke with former Clinton advisor David ‘Rodham\u2019 Gergen about Obama and the economy — and Cooper said, David, ‘What do you think? Do you think he\u2019s going to ultimately have to ask for more?\u2019<\/p>\n

GERGEN: I think the son of stimulus is on its way. It\u2019s going to be here sooner than we think. My bet is we\u2019re going to see a second stimulus much sooner than we thought.<\/p>\n

RUSH: (long sigh) Now, I could gloat and I could go, ‘Nah-nah-nah-nah-nah,\u2019 but that would be beneath me, my friends, because I, of course, am a man of great humility. But you might also be saying, ‘Gosh, Rush, how do you know these things?\u2019 Friends, it\u2019s not hard. I would love to tell you that it takes a superior intellect and a tireless amount of work and true devotion to be able to be this prophetic and prescient, but it takes none of that. All it takes is an honest willingness to admit what you know about liberalism. All it requires is for you to understand what liberalism is. And the best way to understand what liberalism is, is to listen to liberals! And after you listen to liberals, then study what they\u2019ve done. There are two things above all else, and there are many. But there are two umbrellas under which all the other things happen: tax and spend, and cut defense. So you have three umbrellas: tax, spend, and cut defense. Everything else happens under those three umbrellas. It was a no-brainer there was going to be a second stimulus, and now David ‘Rodham\u2019 Gergen tells us it\u2019s so.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh, you gotta hear this. Brit Hume last night on the Fox News Channel Special Report with Bret Baier, Brit Hume was on there as a panelist, and this is what he had to say about David ‘Rodham\u2019 Gergen.<\/p>\n

HUME: CNN\u2019s David Gergen, the former Clintonite, long regarded as the absolute symbol of Washington conventional wisdom.<\/p>\n

RUSH: The absolute symbol of Washington conventional wisdom. What that means is there\u2019s not an original syllable that comes out of the mouth of David ‘Rodham\u2019 Gergen. That\u2019s one of the most artful cuts — I don\u2019t even know and I\u2019m not going to say that Mr. Hume was doing that, actually, because I\u2019m sure Gergen\u2019s a friend of his. But that\u2019s just one of those things, ‘he\u2019s the absolute symbol of conventional wisdom.\u2019 Conventional wisdom is groupthink. There\u2019s nothing admirable about conventional wisdom.
