I go back to the days at Sacramento, so it\u2019s a pleasure to talk to you.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Thank you very much, sir.<\/p>\n<p><BR\/>CALLER: I haven\u2019t heard a whole lot of people talking about since the Great Society, which spent trillions of dollars trying to level the playing field, the rich have gotten richer, the poor have gotten more numerous and poorer, and we\u2019re trying to do the same thing all over again! Rich people get rich because they don\u2019t roll over and play dead for the government. They\u2019re smarter than the government.<\/line><BR\/><a href=\"http:\/\/www.daylife.com\/photo\/036E4oBdJp9Ka\/Michelle_Obama\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/01125117.Par.89380.ImageFile.jpg\" width=\"324\" height=\"211\" class=\"alignright\"\/><\/a>RUSH: Yeah. The actual number that we\u2019ve transferred is $11 trillion. The war on poverty is the longest war in American history. You may not have heard too many people talk about this. I mentioned it in my great CPAC speech on Saturday and again earlier this week, but the war on poverty actually started &#8212; has its roots in &#8212; the thirties. It was in the \u201960s, \u201965, that Lyndon Johnson actually gave it a name. This is the longest war in American history. It cannot be won. We lose it each and every day. Eleven trillion dollars since the sixties has been transferred from the producers, redistributed from the producers to the non-producers. In fact, there\u2019s a great picture out there Michelle (My Belle) Obama once again sleeveless. (sigh) <\/line><\/p>\n<p>What was it, TIME Magazine or Newsweek did a story this week &#8212; maybe the New York Times &#8212; on how you, too, can have highly toned arms like Michelle Obama. After the State of the Union show, a bunch of stories how you, too, can have highly toned arms and get rid of whatever they call these flab things under there. Wings, whatever. There\u2019s a picture of Michelle Obama at a homeless shelter in Washington. She\u2019s on the other side of the glass, you know, where the server would be serving McNuggets at McDonald\u2019s, and she\u2019s serving food to the homeless, and the homeless and the poor are showing up taking pictures of her with their cell phones! Yeah, I just saw the picture. We\u2019ll put it up at RushLimbaugh.com.
