RUSH: Cordova, Tennessee. Joe, thank you, sir. It\u2019s nice to have you on the EIB Network.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Thank you, Rush, and good morning from sunny Timberlake Drive. The observation I have — and it might be worthy of your comment — is when they were talking about this Porkulus bill and ‘shovel-ready projects.\u2019 well, the largest shovel-ready project in the country is the new fence trying to protect our borders between Mexico and the United States.<\/p>\n

RUSH: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. That\u2019s off the table now.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, of course it is.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Joe?<\/p>\n

CALLER: But it should be something they should work on.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah. Obama doesn\u2019t believe in that.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, of course not. But I think it\u2019s… (laughing) You know, what\u2019s interesting is if you go 800 miles north, there is going to be a $8 billion apparently fast-rail connection between Los Angeles, which is Assistant President Pelosi\u2019s state; to Las Vegas; which is Assistant President Reid\u2019s state, which I think is very interesting.<\/p>\n

RUSH: It\u2019s not just Los Angeles. The train is from Disneyland — <\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, that\u2019s right. It is Disneyland.<\/p>\n

RUSH: — to Las Vegas.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes.<\/p>\n

RUSH: But, see, this is another thing out there, Joe. The environmental impact study on this train is going to take five years before they even get the first shovel to break ground, the environmental impact study. Yeah, it is, Disneyland to Las Vegas.<\/p>\n

CALLER: All right.<\/p>\n

RUSH: It\u2019s from Orange County. Well, the only rich people left out there are Bel Air, Beverly Hills, and Orange County. They\u2019re the only people can be able to afford to go to Las Vegas.<\/p>\n

CALLER: (laughs) But I think it\u2019s really interesting they\u2019re not spending a penny for the protection of our border.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, now, Joe, why would you think they would?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, they should, but they are Democrats. They\u2019re afraid to lose the Latino vote, I guess.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah. That\u2019s a pretty good guess, Joe. (laughing) <\/p>\n

CALLER: (laughing)<\/p>\n

RUSH: Just like the infrastructure for national health care is in place in the Porkulus bill, it isn\u2019t going to be long before we go back to amnesty and it isn\u2019t going to be long before we start doing a number of… I\u2019ll bet you by this summer, Obama comes back for another stimulus package, after they do TARP 2 sometime in March. Mark my words. That\u2019s the way this is going to happen. Remember, FDR didn\u2019t spend enough soon enough.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
