{"id":315022,"date":"2019-07-10T18:00:00","date_gmt":"2019-07-10T22:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/admin.rushlimbaugh.com\/?p=315022"},"modified":"2019-07-11T16:20:15","modified_gmt":"2019-07-11T20:20:15","slug":"rush-24-7-morning-update-243","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/admin.rushlimbaugh.com\/daily\/2019\/07\/10\/rush-24-7-morning-update-243\/","title":{"rendered":"Rush 24\/7 Morning Update: All\u2019s Well"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>RUSH: The Daily Beast had a headline that announced \u201cSwalwell That Ends Well.\u201d California Democrat congressman Eric Swalwell calling off his presidential campaign after three rigorous months of no success.<\/p>\n<p>The Daily Beast must not like Swalwell very much; the headline continued: \u201cGood Riddance to Another White Guy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Then the leftist Daily Beast rolled out a slew of insults. Swalwell\u2019s campaign was dismissed as \u201cSeinfeld-esque\u201d &#8212;&nbsp; a presidential campaign about nothing. The article pointed out that in a recent CNN poll, Swalwell\u2019s poll numbers registered as an asterisk.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-241581\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/00-Rush-Morning-Update-2.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"199\" height=\"137\">But what Daily Beast writer Matt Lewis &#8212; who also happens to be \u201canother white guy\u201d &#8212; may not realize, is that Swalwell got exactly what he wanted from his three-month run. Whenever he is introduced at some political function, he\u2019ll be referred to as \u201cformer Democrat presidential candidate Eric Swawell.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And, unlike the other 20-some-odd Democrats who are never going to be president, Swalwell got out early. Without a lot of debt, without a lot of expense. And because he got almost no exposure, he got out before the inevitable major humiliation.<\/p>\n<p>So, from his point of view, it really did end well for Swalwell and his campaign about nothing! It was never attended to be about anything.
