<\/p>\nRUSH: We haven\u2019t gotten to the polling data yet because there\u2019s nothing to it rather than just an interesting snapshot. Although, it is fascinating. The bottom has fallen out for Mayor Pete with African-Americans. Now, in one poll — and I don\u2019t have both of them in front of me — Joe Biden has seen the bottom fall out. In another poll he hasn\u2019t. In another poll Bite Me is holding on. There\u2019s a couple of hit pieces today on Kamala Harris and how she went low. (impression) \u201cShe went really unfair, Joe\u2019s a good guy, everybody loves Joe, he\u2019s a great guy, doesn\u2019t mean anybody any harm. She took a calculated low blow hit, and it\u2019s backfiring on her.\u201d A couple people are starting to write about this. Other people think that she was great and needs to pile it on. David “Rodham” Gergen\u2019s out there saying that Joe Biden needs to do a race speech now like Obama did.<\/p>\n

This is such a crock. You know, you listen to these conventional wisdom insiders. So somebody has… You know, Kamala Harris comes out, makes this allegation about Biden being a racist even though he\u2019s probably not. Now he\u2019s gotta go do a race speech! And make no mistake, Gergen is representing the media, not some think tank when he does this. So now Biden\u2019s gotta go do a race speech like Obama because all of a sudden… Joe Biden\u2019s 77 years old. Nobody has ever called him a racist. And if it sounds like I\u2019m defending Biden here, I\u2019m not, I\u2019m really not. I\u2019m making another point.<\/p>\n
Nobody has ever called Biden a racist, not seriously. He wouldn\u2019t have been on the ticket with Obama if anybody ever thought that he was a racist. It only pops up because Biden puts his foot in the mouth trying to demonstrate how he can work with everybody, he mentions these two segregationists; so here comes Kamala Harris with her hit piece in the debate. And now people that have known Joe Biden for all of his, what, 55 adult years in Washington, now claim he has to go do a race speech, when nobody\u2019s ever thought he was a racist.<\/p>\n
Now, Obama had to go do one because his preacher was out there saying God blank America, screw America, the chickens are coming home to roost. Obama\u2019s preacher hated America, and Obama wouldn\u2019t denounce the preacher. And then Obama went out and denounced his own white grandmother as a typical white person, saying she didn\u2019t like black people. So he had some explaining to do. Biden doesn\u2019t have any explaining to do. He\u2019s not faced lifetime charges of racism. (impression) \u201cHere comes David \u2018Rodham\u2019 Gergen, he needs to go out and do a race speech.\u201d For who? Depending on which poll you look at, Plugs hasn\u2019t been hurt by any of this yet.<\/p>\n
Now, there is… I wish I could remember the name of the poll. And it doesn\u2019t matter right now, because they\u2019re six of one, half dozen of the other, but there are two polls on Biden. Both of them are credible. One says that he\u2019s still hanging out and people say they don\u2019t know how, and the other says he\u2019s taking a big hit here. And he is down in this poll. Mayor Pete raised $24 million in one quarter. Everybody\u2019s going, (impression) \u201cWow, Mayor Pete.\u201d Then the news came out that Trump raised 105 million. (impression) “Oh, no. What happened to Mayor Pete?” Then Mayor Pete had the big problem in South Bend, and now people in South Bend are demanding that Mayor Pete resign the presidential race.<\/p>\n

You know why? They\u2019re saying (impression) \u201cMayor Pete, if you can\u2019t even handle this little town of South Bend, what the hell are you doing running for president? Mayor Pete, we got a little microcosm going, you\u2019re running for president, you got all these grand solutions to everything, but you can\u2019t even stop race problems in your own town and you\u2019re a Democrat.\u201d They want Mayor Pete to resign.<\/p>\n
I\u2019ve got a couple hit pieces on Kamala Harris out there for being too opportunistic and going after Biden when she previously said that she never would. It\u2019s just Democrats being democrats. Mayor Pete, by the way, has made the pilgrimage to the Reverend Jackson. He says more black people ought to become cops. (impression) \u201cI wouldn\u2019t have the problem in South Bend if there were more black cops. There\u2019s not much I can do.\u201d So he goes and tells the Reverend Jackson, (impression) \u201cWe need more black cops.\u201d Reverend Jackson says, (impression) \u201cWell, it\u2019s hard to do that when our game here is that the cops are shooting black people. We can\u2019t have a bunch of black cops that blow up that narrative.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mayor Pete says, (impression) \u201cWell, we can\u2019t get rid of the narrative then. If we\u2019re gonna have a lot of black people become cops then I\u2019m kind of stuck.\u201d So Mayor Pete goes to the Reverend Jackson to kiss the ring, asking for some backup and maybe a bailout because of what\u2019s happening in South Bend, firing the black police chief, people in South Bend commanding Mayor Pete resign the presidential candidacy or resign the mayoral… One of the two. Mayor Pete\u2019s looking at $24 million in donations. I can\u2019t quit this. I got a great thing going here. Reverend Jackson says, (impression) “Well, you got a problem, Mayor Pete.\u201d Mayor Pete says, (impression) \u201cYeah, I can solve the problem if more blacks become cops. Reverend Jackson says, (impression) \u201cWe can\u2019t do that \u2018cause then we destroy our whole narrative that white cops are shooting black cops. We can\u2019t do that.\u201d<\/p>\n
Watching these Democrats in action, folks, on the one hand, it\u2019s comical as it can be and it\u2019s fun. On the other hand, it is deadly serious consequences.
