Last week I reminded everybody<\/a> the media had figured out Biden cannot keep up and the process of taking him out had begun.<\/p>\nRUSH ARCHIVE: I think the compulsion that the Democrats have to get rid of Trump overrides everything right now. And every assessment they\u2019re making is, \u201cCan this succeed in getting rid of Trump?\u201d So they look at Biden, \u201cCan Biden beat Trump?\u201d I think more and more of them are concluding “no.” And yet Biden is the frontrunner by a big stretch.<\/p>\n
So what are they gonna do? They don\u2019t want to sit around and wait for Biden to implode. That might take too long. They want to hasten it. I believe they\u2019re trying to hasten Biden\u2019s exit from the stage, is my personal opinion. ‘Cause I think they have concluded properly that he can\u2019t win! He can\u2019t keep up with Trump in a campaign. It\u2019d be Hillary all over again.<\/p>\n
RUSH: And that is really true. So now with those two sound bites establishing that I have long ago predicted what was gonna happen, let\u2019s go to CNN ripping Biden after the debate last night.<\/p>\n

NIA-MALIKA HENDERSON: (b-roll noise) You had Biden actually arguing for state\u2019s rights, which is a terrible argument to be making. You know, sort of threw in the towel.<\/p>\n
GLORIA BORGER: I can\u2019t figure out what Joe Biden\u2019s strategy was during this debate. Shouldn\u2019t he have been prepared?<\/p>\n
TERRY MCAULIFFE: Joe Biden should have been prepared for that question. I don\u2019t know why, when he was answering the question, he stopped and said, \u201cI ran out of time.\u201d<\/p>\n
DAVID AXELROD: At times the Vice President seemed somewhat confused to me in handling some of the questions. He actually seemed a bit defensive.<\/p>\n
VAN JONES: Tonight, we had a breakdown, Biden. He had the most to lose, and I think he lost it.<\/p>\n
RUSH: I know these people. I know these people like the back of my hand. I know these people like every square inch of my glorious naked body. I know exactly how they\u2019re gonna do what they do. I know exactly what they\u2019re thinking before they do. Skip number 4. We move now to the Reverend Jackson. I must confess, I saw the Reverend Jackson live this morning, and I could not understand a word he was saying. I was thankful there were closed-captions up there.<\/p>\n
So you\u2019ll probably be able to understand him, but I couldn\u2019t. He was on with Poppy Harlow, who was so respectful. (imitating Poppy) “Thank you, Reverend, for joining us. You\u2019re so great, Reverend. You\u2019ve been through so much, Reverend. You\u2019ve shaken down so many corporations for us, Reverend. Oh, my gosh, we\u2019re so grateful that you\u2019re here, Reverend, oh, my God. What did we do to deserve you, Reverend. Oh, my God. Can\u2019t believe I\u2019m talking to Reverend Jackson.” That kind of treatment.<\/p>\n
She said, “Reverend Jackson, what\u2019s your reaction when you watched that exchange between Biden and Kamala Harris and what you heard Senator Harris say about busing, ‘that little girl was me,\u2019 what did you think of that?”<\/p>\n
JACKSON: The issue, it was about busing was for racial balance. It was not the bus, that was us. Most children are bused every day, then and now. Rural children are bused. Suburban children are bused. Busing for racial balance became a hot political issue. Louise Day Hicks in Boston and Bobbi Fiedler in L.A. And Ed Brooke was on one side and Joe was on the other side. Biden\u2019s on the other side. And in my judgment was the wrong side of history.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Did you understand that? Well, I have the transcript here. You know, the Reverend Jackson is known for his rhythmic rhyming, his spontaneous improvisational rhyming. He said, “The issue, busing was for racial balance. It was not the bus, that was us. Most children are bused every day, then and now. Rural children are bused. Suburban children are bused. Okay. So that\u2019s answer number one. And she said (paraphrasing), “Reverend Jackson, thank you so much for coming, we\u2019re so fortunate to have you with us, Reverend, so much respect for you and everything you\u2019ve done, Reverend Jackson. Should Joe Biden apologize in your mind?\u201d<\/p>\n
JACKSON: When Trump says \u201cMake America Great Again,\u201d he\u2019s talking about state\u2019s rights again. Joe has grown in the positions he has taken. Think about his role with President Obama. His being the balance of that ticket was a factor, I think, to President Obama\u2019s victory in \u201908, for example. I think he has grown in the new views of these positions, but clearly you cannot run your shot, and you cannot run through raindrops without getting wet, exalting Clarence Thomas was a big mistake. We hope he\u2019s outgrown those problems. He can survive it, but it\u2019ll be tough sledding.<\/p>\n

RUSH: So I guess Reverend Jackson\u2019s saying, \u201cLook, you can\u2019t run through raindrops without get wet. And Thomas was a big mistake.\u201d He\u2019s talking about Clarence Thomas, he\u2019s going back to Biden not getting rid of Clarence Thomas and shaming Anita Hill as a bad move. And Trump\u2019s Make America Great Again, he\u2019s talking about states\u2019 rights and Joe\u2019s grown in the positions he\u2019s taken, think about his role with President Obama, balance, factor, Obama victory in \u201908, for example.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s all making sense to me. Bottom line is that Reverend Jackson thinks that Biden is bumbling and stumbling all through this but that he can survive it. But that it\u2019s gonna be tough sledding. So while they\u2019re out there just, I mean pummeling Joe Biden, they went gaga over Kamala Harris. Audio sound bite number 7. It\u2019s a media montage.<\/p>\n

KENNETH MOTON: Kamala Harris was the breakout star of night two.<\/p>\n
DAVE BRIGGS: She was the star of this debate stage.<\/p>\n
GARY TUCHMAN: Harris seems to be the star of this evening.<\/p>\n
GAYLE KING: I\u2019m hearing “a star is born.”<\/p>\n
VAN JONES: Kamala Harris had a moment that was two hours long. A star was born tonight. She will kick Donald Trump\u2019s butt.<\/p>\n
RUSH: There you go. She\u2019s already the nominee and will kick Trump\u2019s butt.<\/p>\n

Alright. I\u2019m debating how much more time to spend on Plugs here. I\u2019ve gotta do this because I am one of the first to have really not gone very far out on the limb and forecasted and predicted that Plugs would not be long for this campaign. Now, I\u2019m not gonna predict the actual day he will drop out.
\nAnd if you remember I\u2019ve given myself an out. I mean, using the Reagan-Mondull example of \u201984, there\u2019s strange things that could happen and Plugs could have a reversal of fortunes if things go right. But right now, today, it\u2019s not a good day for Plugs.<\/p>\n
And I\u2019ve got audio sound bites out the wazoo and a couple of newspaper stories. Let me first grab sound bite 27, just to show you. This is A.B. Stoddard. A.B. Stoddard… If you want to know what the conventional wisdom of the deep state is, if you want to know what the conventional wisdom of the Washington political class is, the male representative of that would be David “Rodham” Gergen, and the female version of that is A.B. Stoddard. And she was just on CNN. And she was asked point-blank, how bad was it last night for Plugs?<\/p>\n
STODDARD: I think that he had a terrible night, and I think he has a lot of vulnerabilities that he will be reminded of as we get closer to a six-person debate. He protected the credit card companies, he supported segregation, he is a physical space invader, he laughs about it, that he is not upgraded and updated for these times.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s a physical space… (interruption) Oh. Oh. Oh. I\u2019m sorry, I\u2019m sorry, I\u2019m sorry. I get it now. Plugs invades the space of women and then gropes them and hugs them and feels them and nuzzles them and teases them and then plays with their hair. That\u2019s what she\u2019s talking about. And then she said \u201cand he\u2019s a physical space invader, and he laughs about it.\u201d He laughs that he\u2019s not upgraded and updated for these times. She said these are vulnerabilities. Now we resume the bite.<\/p>\n
STODDARD: — vulnerabilities. He does not talk about his strength in the race, which is that people are terrified and they want to get rid of President Trump and they believe that Joe Biden is the only person who will be ready to clean up the mess that President Trump has made. He didn\u2019t talk about that last night. He doesn\u2019t say, “This is no time to take a chance. I\u2019m the only one on the stage who can A, B, C, and D.\u201d He just sat there looking terrified of his own 2019 Democratic Party. And if he does that again in the next debate, he\u2019s gonna lose.<\/p>\n
RUSH: So that\u2019s a pretty common reaction. Here I have a Politico story, and the headline here is, “Biden dated himself, he underperformed, and was eaten alive.” The four-hour, two-night debate is over. According to our experts, Bernie Sanders was eclipsed, Joe Biden survived maybe a pummeling, and Kamala Harris changed the 2020 race. So that\u2019s basically the take here from The Politico, which is, again, a good harbinger of the Drive-By Media.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Look, I got three bites from the debate last night I gotta get to. I\u2019ve also got a couple from Plugs who just finished a rather short speech. He was at the Monochrome Coalition convention\/shakedown, sponsored by the Reverend Jackson. By the way, when he was over he hugged the Reverend Jackson, and the Reverend Jackson did not return the hug! Did you see that? (interruption) That\u2019s right. He did not hug him back. Even though Plugs referenced his time in the “Obama-Biden administration.” Anyway, we have those coming up but… (interruption)<\/p>\n

That is true. At one point… In fact, it was the Reverend Jackson who owed Roger Ailes a lifetime debt of gratitude for suppressing that video. The Reverend Jackson was on set at Fox News before an appearance. The cameras were running, everybody was getting ready, and the Reverend Jackson was talking to someone. This is during the 2008 presidential campaign. The Reverend Jackson was chatting with somebody off camera and said what he would like to do with President Obama\u2019s manhood if he had a pair of scissors.<\/p>\n
Ailes chose… The Reverend Jackson begged Ailes, “Don\u2019t run that! I didn\u2019t know that the cameras were on. I wouldn\u2019ta said that if I\u2019d a known! Don\u2019t run that,” and Ailes never ran it. It leaked out that it happened, but they never ran. Fox did not run it as a concession to the Reverend Jackson. Look, Jesse Jackson was offended too.<\/p>\n

He did say, “We got a clean and articulate one here for a change.” Ah. Al Sharpton got ticked off at that. But I\u2019d forgotten the Reverend Jackson did.
