RUSH: I think that some of the Drive-Bys are starting to do a CYA, like Brokaw and Charlie Rose did. There are a couple other reporters now, we\u2019ve got a story, guy\u2019s been following Obama for a year-and-a-half, 18 hours a day, says he doesn\u2019t know who he is. If you missed this, this was from last Thursday night on PBS, Charlie Rose interviewing Tom Brokaw, the moderator of Meet the Press. This is a montage, but it is still amazing.<\/p>\n

ROSE: I don\u2019t know what Barack Obama\u2019s worldview is.<\/p>\n

BROKAW: No, I don\u2019t, either.<\/p>\n

ROSE: I don\u2019t know how he really sees where China is.<\/p>\n

BROKAW: We don\u2019t know a lot about Barack Obama and the universe of his thinking about foreign policy.<\/p>\n

ROSE: I don\u2019t really know. And do we know anything about the people who are advising him?<\/p>\n

BROKAW: Yeah, it\u2019s an interesting question.<\/p>\n

ROSE: He is principally known through his autobiography and through very aspirational (sic) speeches.<\/p>\n

BROKAW: Two of them! I don\u2019t know what books he\u2019s read.<\/p>\n

ROSE: What do we know about the heroes of Barack Obama?<\/p>\n

BROKAW: There\u2019s a lot about him we don\u2019t know.<\/p>\n

RUSH: And as we said to Tom Brokaw last week, well, dispatch a reporter, call on the reporters you\u2019ve had on the plane and do a reporting job on Barack Obama. They\u2019re covering themselves because if he turns out to be this wild Marxist leftist&hellip; with Clinton, folks, we had a moderate liberal. Juan Williams is saying this. Juan Williams is saying we\u2019re going to find out who liberals really are if Obama wins the presidency. Compared to Clinton, who was a moderate, this guy is off the charts far left, Juan Williams saying so today. <\/p>\n

I checked the e-mail here during the break. ‘Rush, you sound like you\u2019re in a good mood.\u2019 I am in a good mood. I\u2019m always in a good mood. ‘But, Rush, but, Rush, it looks so bad out there.\u2019 I know how it looks. Folks, pay no attention to how it looks. That\u2019s been manufactured for you. It has been manufactured. If you want to look at the Battleground polls where you see Obama up seven, Obama up ten, go ahead, but look at the undecideds in those states. There\u2019s fluidity remaining out there. Charlie Cook of the Cook Report, big political pollster analyst, he said, ‘I don\u2019t believe people don\u2019t believe our polls this year. If I\u2019m wrong, I will quit the polling business and I\u2019ll start working at a fast food joint.\u2019 This is how confident they are. <\/p>\n

Folks, look, life is going to go on and I\u2019m set up psychologically, mentally, professionally, to go on regardless what happens here because we have to. I\u2019m not a Pollyanna. Don\u2019t misunderstand. But I think you all have to prepare yourselves for whatever eventuality is out there and you make the best of whatever happens, and don\u2019t watch this stuff today and tonight if you\u2019re not tough, because the die is cast, they\u2019re already starting to talk about Obama\u2019s second term and the things that he will accomplish in his first term, build on and so forth, while at the same time claiming they don\u2019t know him, they don\u2019t know anything about him. They know all about him, and they don\u2019t want to be tied to his radicalness if he wins, once he starts implementing this stuff. They want to be left off the hook. They don\u2019t want to be blamed for this. They don\u2019t want to be blamed if he does what he says he\u2019s going to do. This presidential campaign, as far as the media is concerned, is about them. It\u2019s about their ability to move public opinion; it\u2019s about their ability to lie to people; it\u2019s about their ability to get somebody elected that they want elected for whatever reason, historical nature of his campaign or whatever. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
