RUSH: We go from ‘Hut, Sweet Hut\u2019 to ‘Slum, Sweet Slum.\u2019 I mean this guy takes care of his family not at all. It is incredible. When you measure the way this guy has cared for his family versus what he talks about with charity and how we\u2019ve all gotta help each other out, he\u2019s not helping out his own family because he doesn\u2019t want to use his own money. <\/p>\n

Let\u2019s go to the audio sound bites here. This is last night, this is the brief moment of the infomercial here. I think this is the audio from the convention speech.<\/p>\n

OBAMA: It is that fundamental belief — I am my brother\u2019s keeper, I am my sister\u2019s keeper — that makes this country work.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, we got the news yesterday, and he taped this a week ago, we got the news yesterday that old Auntie Onyango was found living in a Boston slum. She may not even be a legal citizen. We\u2019re not sure about that. People have been looking into it and can\u2019t find out, and note that it was a UK paper that found this, the UK Times. The US Drive-Bys still are not talking about this. By the way, Mike, hold onto audio sound bite number one here because I\u2019m going to call for it again. I want to read you this quote from the story: ‘Aunt Zeituni and Uncle Omar are the children of Mr. Obama\u2019s grandfather Hussein Onyango Obama, by his third wife — the woman Mr. Obama calls ‘Granny\u2019 because she raised his father. Mr. Obama\u2019s father, Barack Sr., was Onyango Obama\u2019s son by his second wife, Akumu. That makes Zeituni and Omar a half-sister and half-brother of Mr. Obama\u2019s father, or Mr. Obama\u2019s half-aunt and half-uncle.\u2019<\/p>\n

You got that? Okay, let me go through this again. I know family trees are tough. Let\u2019s go through the genealogical traits here. This is from the UK Times. Aunt Zeituni is Obama\u2019s aunt living in a slum in Boston. I\u2019m not trying to make too big a deal about this. I think it matters. You measure somebody\u2019s words and we measure their words of compassion and caring, and we look at how the people closest to him live. One\u2019s in a hut in Nairobi living on 12 bucks a year, and here\u2019s Aunt Zeituni living in a slum, a slum housing project in Boston. ‘Aunt Zeituni and Uncle Omar are the children of Mr. Obama\u2019s grandfather Hussein Onyango Obama, by his third wife — the woman Mr. Obama calls ‘Granny\u2019 because she raised his father. Mr. Obama\u2019s father, Barack Sr., was Onyango Obama\u2019s son by his second wife, Akumu. Okay, now it clicks. And she was not, by the way, included in the infomercial last night. <\/p>\n

She has been affectionately described in his book, in his best-selling memoir, Dreams from My Father, Zeituni Onyango was described affectionately, she was discussed a lot in his book. So it\u2019s not as though she\u2019s a distant aunt or a half-aunt. She is living in Boston in a slum! Compassion? She\u2019s living in Boston in a slum. ‘Slum, Sweet Slum.\u2019 ‘Hut, Sweet Hut.\u2019 Hut-hut. Auntie Zeituni in Mr. Obama\u2019s memoir. She declined to answer other questions the UK Times asked about her relationship with Obama until after the November 4th election. She said, ‘I can\u2019t talk about it. I just pray for him. That\u2019s all. After the 4th I can talk to anyone.\u2019 So poor old Auntie Zeituni here is not only living in a slum, she\u2019s been buttoned up. She\u2019s been zipped up, duct tape on her mouth, duct tape on Michelle (My Belle)\u2019s mouth, and of course George Onyango Obama Hussein, stuck over in the hut, and nobody can find him. (interruption) Yes, Mr. Snerdley? It\u2019s sort of like stay here and shut up or stay there and shut up, and you don\u2019t know me, and I don\u2019t know you even though I wrote about you extensively in the book, just shut up, Auntie Zeituni. No Iranian caviar. <\/p>\n

By the way, that was a false story. It turned out being retracted by the New York Post, said Michelle (My Belle) was not even there in the Waldorf Hysteria that afternoon. It\u2019s not clear when Mrs. Onyango, Auntie Zeituni living in the Boston slum first came to the US. She said, ”I\u2019ve been coming to America ever since 1975. I always come and go.\u2019 She is a frail woman who walks with the aid of a metal sick. Neighbors said she lived alone in a ground floor flat, normally set aside for people facing physical hardship.\u2019 This is the aunt of Barack Obama living in a Boston slum. Let\u2019s go back to the audio sound bite now from the Denver acceptance speech.<\/p>\n

RUSH: It\u2019s really showing its success rate in your family, isn\u2019t it? My friends, this is important. I am my brother\u2019s keeper, I am my sister\u2019s keeper, that\u2019s what makes this country work. Country\u2019s working. Obama\u2019s family is not. Can you imagine an Obama family reunion? How does the guy living in the hut get to the family reunion? Where is the family reunion? Is there a family reunion? Can you imagine Auntie Zeituni, she walks with a metal stick, not a cane, she doesn\u2019t even have a cane, it\u2019s a metal stick, it\u2019s probably a pipe she picked up in the hood, how in the world does she walk around to get to the family reunion? Now, isn\u2019t it interesting, I am my brother\u2019s keeper, I am my sister\u2019s keeper, that\u2019s what makes this country work. He is nobody\u2019s keeper. What he\u2019s going to do is make us everybody else\u2019s keeper. He isn\u2019t anybody\u2019s keeper. Now, let\u2019s go back. Let\u2019s go back to August 16, 2008. He just said, we just played the audio here of Obama and his acceptance speech, ‘It\u2019s that fundamental belief — I am my brother\u2019s keeper, I am my sister\u2019s keeper — that makes this country work.\u2019 Rick Warren at the Saddleback Church August 16th said to Obama, ‘What would be the greatest moral failure of America?\u2019<\/p>\n

OBAMA: America\u2019s greatest moral failure, in my lifetime, uh, has been that we — we still don\u2019t abide by that — that — that basic precept in Matthew that, uh, whatever you do for the least of my brothers, you do for me.<\/p>\n

WARREN: You do for me.<\/p>\n

OBAMA: And that notion — (applause) — that basic principle applies to poverty, it applies to racism and sexism, it applies to, uh, not having — not — not thinking about providing ladders of opportunity for people to get into the middle class. I mean there\u2019s — there\u2019s a pervasive sense, I think, uh, this country, as wealthy and powerful as we are, still don\u2019t spend enough time thinking of the least of these.<\/p>\n

RUSH: His aunt lives in a slum in Boston. Since 1975 she\u2019s been coming and going. His brother lives in a hut outside Nairobi in Kenya. ‘There\u2019s a pervasive sense,\u2019 Obama says, ‘that this country, as wealthy and powerful as we are, still doesn\u2019t spend enough time thinking of the least of these. The basic precept in Matthew, whatever you do for the least of my brothers, you do for me.\u2019 Does this mean that we should demand Obama move to a housing project or a hut? Is he blaming America for the circumstances in which his aunt lives in a slum in Boston?
