CALLER: Thank you, Rush. And on a lighter note, did you notice Facebook was fined $5 billion yesterday for doing what the credit card companies, the credit bureau, Dun & Bradstreet, the insurance companies, all these people been doing for the last 40 or 50 years: buying and selling and trading our data amongst each other and back to ourselves. And Joe Biden, I blame him for starting it. You notice all those credit card companies headquartered in his state? I think he\u2019s the one that legislated the concept of opting out.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Oh, yeah, Delaware. Yeah. Delaware, it\u2019s a credit card and businesses like Liberia when you register ships. Well, Facebook\u2019s in trouble for one thing.<\/p>\n
CALLER: What?<\/p>\n
RUSH: And, by the way, $5 billion fine for Facebook is the equivalent of you being fined 50 cents for a DUI.<\/p>\n
CALLER: And I would complain about that, too.<\/p>\n
RUSH: What, too much or too little?<\/p>\n
CALLER: (laughing).<\/p>\n
RUSH: Oh, you would complain about being fined 50 cents for a DUI. No, Facebook\u2019s problem — I\u2019m gonna tell you, the sum total — aside from the fact that tech people hate Zuckerberg because he\u2019s done something they can\u2019t do, two words: Cambridge Analytica.<\/p>\n
CALLER: But it was an accident. They didn\u2019t do anything wrong.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Doesn\u2019t matter. Doesn\u2019t matter. Zuckerberg let it happen. Zuckerberg let the Mercers use Facebook to identify potential Trump voters, and for that Zuckerberg needs to be strung up, crucified, and sent to Hawaii to be buried. That\u2019s it. Cambridge Analytica. That\u2019s the only sin. They\u2019ve added other things to make it look like — but that\u2019s what the left and that\u2019s what the tech blogs and that\u2019s what the Drive-Bys are all upset about, Cambridge Analytica. And everybody was doing what Cambridge Analytica does just like you\u2019re talking about all the banks do what Facebook does, all the credit card companies.<\/p>\n
CALLER: I know. Look at all the junk mail we\u2019ve gotten over the years —<\/p>\n

CALLER: Forests eliminated.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Cambridge Analytica. Make no mistake, folks. The Mercers, the Mercers, underwriters of Breitbart, underwriters of any number of other things, early donor supporters of Trump. Computer whiz, Mr. Mercer, Robert Mercer is a computer science whiz, came up with a way to mine data about voters, and they think since Republicans found a way to do it, that it is cheating. That\u2019s why they hate Zuckerberg.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Cambridge Analytica did a quiz, and the quiz data was only used to help Ted Cruz. Cambridge didn\u2019t even back Trump until a long time later, but since they did back Trump, Cambridge Analytica became a bunch of thug criminal hackers with ties to the Russians.<\/p>\n
By the time the data was expunged and gotten rid of from Facebook, Trump didn\u2019t benefit from it at all. But that\u2019s it. If you want to know, if you want to know why the media, and if you ever encounter tech media, tech blogs, if you want to know why they hate Zuckerberg, it\u2019s Cambridge Analytica.<\/p>\n
All the other reasons they hate Zuckerberg are just human nature. He has more money than they do. He\u2019s younger than they are. He\u2019s smarter than they are. Facebook\u2019s the biggest thing in the world than they are, and Zuckerberg flaunts his wealth by buying whole islands in the Hawaiian chain, all kinds of stuff. It really just ticks \u2019em off.<\/p>\n
But Cambridge Analytica, it\u2019s just so obvious, it\u2019s so transparent about — and Cambridge Analytica, what they did pales in comparison to the way the left and the Democrats are using Facebook for the exact same reasons! I mean, it\u2019s Cambridge Analytica versus the Facebook news feed, for crying out loud. It\u2019s just like they had this irrational hatred Fox News. They\u2019ve got 98% of the Drive-By Media is left-wing. They have everything except for talk radio and Fox News, and they hate Fox. Oh, they hate talk radio. Oh, they hate it.
