Hi.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Hiiiii.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Well, that doesn\u2019t sound very enthusiastic.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Well&#8230; (laughs)<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: &#8216;Hi.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: I\u2019m not a morning person, usually, so just &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Well, it\u2019s not morning. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/01125118.Par.89380.ImageFile.jpg\" width=\"200\" height=\"220\" class=\"alignright\"\/>CALLER: I know. I know. It\u2019s going towards where I\u2019m waning. Ha! But anyways, my point is on the fact that there\u2019s so many ads about movie stars and greats, they\u2019re great people, make great movies, rock people or whatever, but there\u2019s so much attention on them and not Joe the Plumber, Sarah the Waitress. You know, so-and-so out there that is actually working day to day, whether they\u2019re self-employed in a business. It gets me where there\u2019s so much focus and money on them people than the people that matter, that are working hard like you mentioned about our forefathers that would work so hard. My husband is such a hard worker. We\u2019re now self-employed in the jewelry business. It\u2019s not a very important thing right now with the economy, but it\u2019s what we do.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Ha!<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: (laughing)<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Ha! Wait just a second. Don\u2019t have that attitude. No, no, no, no. Diamonds and baubles never go out of style. They either are purchased or they are a dream waiting to be realized.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Well, let me tell you, the people &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: You hang in there.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Yes, sir. The people that have supported us are those, a lot of Republicans, a lot of people that have worked so hard. What happened is we just fell into bad investments and such, but we\u2019re still working hard. We\u2019re still out there. We\u2019re not like sitting there with our hand out like, &#8216;Hello, Obama! I\u2019ve got my hand out.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: So you\u2019re fed up when you see these brain-dead celebrities talking about what a great guy Obama is?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Yeah. (laughs)<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: And you get mad that the media focuses so much attention on them?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Well, we\u2019ve explained this over the years. The media is just a bunch of groupies like everybody else is around celebrities!<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: I know.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Particularly their Hollywood celebrities or big-time TV celebrities, they\u2019re groupies. Remember, politics and media is show biz for the ugly. <\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: And Hollywood and television is show biz for the beautiful people &#8212; and the ugly always want to pal around with the beautiful people, in this case.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: (laughing)<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Plus, in this case, they think it\u2019s going to help Obama. They\u2019re doing everything they can to push Obama over the top.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Well, there\u2019s a big influence, though, where people are just so drawn (sigh) those people that think that that type of status is so important, it\u2019s so glamorous, yes, but, you know, you can make your own glamour by working hard, by making a point in your community.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Right.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: You actually just going out and doing it yourself, not depending on anything else or anyone else. You know, we just take such pride in what we do and every time we\u2019re always commented on that we have original stuff. And that\u2019s what has kept us going. We have lived through month to month, you know, fairly decently. But, you know, it\u2019s again that we work hard. I don\u2019t want somebody coming in and saying, &#8216;You worked so hard, but it doesn\u2019t matter. We\u2019re going to redistribute with your money.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: No, that\u2019s not going to reward you for your work. They\u2019re not going to come in and say, &#8216;You\u2019re working so hard.\u2019 They\u2019re going to say, &#8216;You\u2019ve got too much.\u2019 They\u2019re gonna say, &#8216;You can do with a little less.\u2019 They\u2019ll do something. Look, the way you answered the phone here, &#8216;Hiiii,\u2019 and you think that it\u2019s morning when it\u2019s coming up on two in the afternoon in Texas, are you coming down with a cold or anything?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: (laughing) No. Like I said, my energy is just low when I have to get up during the day for whatever reason.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: I wouldn\u2019t risk it. Have you heard of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.zicam.com\/\">Zicam<\/a>?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Uh, yes.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: You need to go out and get some, just swab your nose. You can\u2019t take a chance. You sound run-down out there.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: We just had a heavy weekend. We just had our market.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Don\u2019t take any chances. Go out and get some Zicam. If you come down with something, it will stop it right away. <\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Oh, no.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Your voice sounds (pinching nose) don\u2019t argue.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: (laughing) Believe me, I\u2019m a natural person.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: This is natural!<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: I have hardly&#8230; If I get a cold a year, that\u2019s all I get.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Okay, fine. I\u2019m just telling you, if you think you\u2019re coming down with one &#8212; I think you are, but of course what do I know? <\/p>\n<p>CALLER: (laughing)<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: I would go get some and swab your nose. I\u2019ll tell you what else I\u2019m going to do. In addition to Vince Flynn\u2019s latest novel, I\u2019m going to buy you a car.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: (laughing) We need one. (laughing) I appreciate, though, Rush I really do. I know my tone doesn\u2019t sound like I do, but I really do.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: All right, since everything\u2019s going to be taken away from you, I\u2019m going to get you a car that they can take away, too.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: (laughing)<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: I\u2019m going to get you a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gm.com\/\">General Motors car<\/a>.
